Experienced cruisers I have a couple of questions

Do we need to bring both passports and birth certificates?

If I mail my box tomorrow it shoulde be fine right?

What time and where is the meet and also the ladies lunch?

I know I need to get my act together soon.:confused3

Linda you make me laugh I am sooo excited to meet you. Taping the list to the door with duck tape too funny.

Linda, glad your test is over, hope the results are good ones. Traci welcome back glad that you guys had a good time. I agree, I think I would just use the box also. Mike good luck with the tests.
Gail, you most certainly can stop your mail online. I have done it. Had a heck of a time getting them to start it up again. They started it, then stopped it again two days later? :confused3 But then, that is typical for my post office.
Dentist called today, and my post and core? are in, looks like I will have a temporary crown for this vacation, but they are telling me that it will look nice, I hope they are right, Years ago they were big silver gawdy things. I felt like I should have been in a horror movie. :scared1: So I go at 11 in the morning, my face has just stopped hurting, and now back I go. Hopefully this won't be as bad. Well, off to water areobics, will stop by later.
Vickie

Traci -

You do not need both a passport and birth certificate for each person. Usually either/or.

:thumbsup2Just a reminder to everyone to make sure you've done all your online check-in docs and registrations. It makes the Port check-in soooo much smoother. And, don't forget to print out the Cruise Contract signature page and bring it with you!

Hi Everyone

We are doing the wristband dance!! :dance3::dance3:

So I don't have to stalk the customs agents at the border to see if they are wearing our lovely green wristbands. :lmao: DS already insisted on putting his on his wrist. The kids are both so excited and the funny thing is, they don't even know what they are excited about. I think for DD it's all about FE gifts - giving to everyone. I don't think she has even really thought that she might get things too, she just wants to give out what we are bringing. And isn't that the point after all?
Traci, I have no idea how you are keeping this from your DS... you must be busting!

Linda, I hope you are going to get great news tomorrow.
Mike, best of luck with your exams. It's not sooo long ago I was in university worrying about exams. In fact, I sometimes still have that dream where I forgot to go to class all term and then have to go and do the exam.:scared1:
Vickie, best of luck with the tooth repair.

We are so looking forward to meeting everyone! We are getting there with packing, will finish on the weekend, taking break for trick or treating on Saturday of course!

Have a great night everyone.

I am notorious for making grocery lists and forgetting them so maybe Linda's idea would be better. I still have to deal with the mail - maybe tomorrow I can get myself over to the post office and pick up the form. Probably could do it online too, if I just went looking.

Have a great evening. Dancing with the Stars, laundry and 5 FE gifts are on my to-do list. Short list = short memory, suppose I will get it all done??

ADD'ers need strategies! That's why my lanyards hang on command hooks on the inside of my stateroom door! If they didn't, I would *never* have my room key!

You can stop your mail on line for most post offices www.usps.comand click on the link that says household.

Excited to meet you, too, Traci! (See strategies above - born of Loooong practice!) No, you do not need both passports and birth cert. one will do.

for the meet and the lunch - follow someone you know! (NOT me):rotfl:

Everything she said!

My friends little girls think like your dd. Reverse trick or treat :lmao:
gotta love 'em.

Night all!

Laurie - Congrats on wristbands.:cool1:

Linda - thanks for reminding me to find my lanyards buried in the closet some where. Everytime I think Im almost done I think of new things to pack.

Mike - Good luck on your exams.

For everyone with kids....my daughter can't contain her excitement much more....She can't wait to meet all the kids her age. Last cruise she was by my side the whole time but this time Im afraid she'll forget who I am when she starts meeting all the kids. Which is why Im bringing my own girlfriend to hang with...:lmao:

Traci the ladies lunch is thursday at noon in Lumiere's for those interested. It should be on the information page of your cruise mates list.:thumbsup2
I believe Gail is in charge of that so let her know if your coming so she can have a big enough table for those coming.

Laurie, glad you got your wrist bands finally!! I have mine packed already so I wont forget them.

I think they are still giving out Lanyards for repeat crusiers? Not sure if thats for all levels of CC members. But I think its for everyone. Does anyone know for sure? I guess I can go look it up if needed.

Still pouring rain here tonight:sad2:

Catch you all later,

Kathy

Hello. I cannot believe that the cruise is right around the corner!

Linda~ We are staying at the Residence Inn near the port the night before the cruise. Is that the same place you are staying? We booked under a government rate and couldn't beat the price!

Donna~ I would love to go to the Epcot Wine Festival someday. Sounds like a great mini getaway.

Shauna~Did you receive my PM?

Krista~Where do you live in Southeastern MA? My brother lives in Plymouth.

We received lots of pixie dust today! Our Cat. 9 GTY room was upgraded to a Cat. 6. I triple checked the room assignment because I couldn't believe my eyes:cloud9: I even had my husband come look at the computer. It's interesting, because the category is still listed as a category 9, but the room number listed is a category 6. I read the reviews for our room and both were very positive. We are going to surprise the kids and not tell them about the pixie dust. They are going to be shocked when they walk in and see the verandah!!!:banana::banana:

Is the meet on the very first day?

Paula

Paula,

Congrats on the upgrade.

I am from North Attleboro which is 10 mins from Foxboro. Plymouth is about 30 mins from me. Beautiful place to visit.

Krista

Paula - CONGRATS on the upgrade!!! AWESOME!!! :wizard:Oh I keep hoping for pixie dust, but again, this is cruise #8 and it's never happened. I'm glad it's starting to happen to our little group!!!

And hey all you MA folks! I've lived in Quincy, Milton, E. Bridgewater and Kingston - and I have family in Milton and Plymouth - so I know exactly where y'all are talking about!:)

Paula--yes, I got one pm for you, did you get my reply about the sizes? I don't know what you want for your 9 year old--maybe someone else on here can help you with that. The sizes are child 5-7/8", medium 7-3/8", and large 8-3/8". The website I ordered from says the child sizes generally fit 4 to 6 year olds, so you may want to go with a medium. Anyway, check for your pm and let me know what you'd like.

Laurie--Yay! Glad to hear your wristbands came. Now everyone has them right?

I still have some extra in case people need extras or to switch sizes. I'll bring them to the meet. It's crazy to think that at the end of NEXT WEEK we'll be sailing! I remember when we planned this cruise almost a year and a half ago and I thought how crazy it would be because DD would be 2--now in just over an hour she will be 2. I can't believe it!

Oh, and we are officially all healthy now--hooray! Hope everyone else gets/or is feeling better now!

Traci, I used the large Priority Mail box at the post office. It cost $13.95 including the box and shipping. It's 12x12x5. I just brought my own packing tape with me to the post office. I wouldn't take a chance on it being the wrong size, myself.

Linda, thinking good thoughts for tomorrow!

Christine

Yes, that's the one, Paula!

Congratulations on the upgrade!!!!

The meet IS the very first day.

Krista

Krista, you've cruised Disney before, right? I don't think you need to bring your lanyards. On the main forum, I understand they now give out color coded lanyards to Castaway Club cruisers.

Not "everybody" on the cruise reads the disboards :scared1: to get the inside scoop, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were a multitude of sizes showing up at the warehouse :rotfl: How much energy are people actually going to expend looking for the perfect size box?

Thanks for the well wishes :goodvibes

Man I am SO READY for this cruise!

Hey everyone

I just heard that on Nov 14 in the early hours of the morning, NASA is going to do a night launch. We may well be close enough to get a great view.

Sorry I asked, but I am not able to open the document on my computer. I can only open it on Tims.

Sorry I asked, but I am not able to open the document on my computer. I can only open it on Tims.

My instict would be that Tim's has a different version of Office than you do on yours. Has her list always been like that for you? I can only open it on my work PC or on my laptop (Office 2007) but I can't open it on my home PC.

Luncheon (and the menfolk can also be invited) let's meet at noon in front of Lumiere's on Thursday. If you have something else going on, please feel free to be late, you should be able to find us. And, if you are even considering, please let me know so I can plan ahead with the staff and request an appropriate size space.

I think you are right. I can't open it at work bc I am not supposed to and my computer at home doesnt let me open the file.
I did PM that I was coming to the luncheon but if the men folk are invited and coming let me know and I will bring Tim.

When I get home I will get on Tim's computer to see what time the meet is.

Hope everyone has a great day. Congrats on the new upgrades and being Healthy!:yay:

Morning all.

Matt the ship usually pulls into port between 5:30 and 6:00 a.m.

I have been on shore to watch it arrive before. It looks so cool all lit up. Is that early enough for the launch? If it's close I'll bet you might be able to go out on deck to see it even if we arnt docked yet.

We saw an Atlas rocket take off once from deck 10 about 20 minutes after we boarded it was great!!

Well its pouring rain still today. Suppose to have a short break between storms this afternoon. YEAH!!
I keep telling myself 5 days until I will be flying to a warm state and will leave the cold behind me:goodvibes Then to the nice warm cruise!!

Traci the meet is 3 p.m. the first day in the Promenade lounge. When you board the ship and go through the atrium they will usher you down a hallway ot the left and part way down that hallway you will see a family lounge that has lots of tables and chairs, a bar, small stage and a piano, thats The Promenade Lounge where we will meet. Its very easy for new people to find.:thumbsup2

I am so glad to head everyone is feeling better now. Please dont take offense if I use hand sanitizer after shaking everyones hands on board;) Its not personal but i know how fast colds and flus go around the ship so I always use it. This year I think we all need to be extra careful. We dont want to get sick and ruin our cruise. :scared1:

Anybody else bringing their own liquid hand sanitizer with them? Or am I the only extra cautious one this time?

Linda I am keeping good thoughts for you getting your test results today.
Since your always posting early and your not here yet I figure your probably at the Dr right now.

5 days until we leave YEAH!!!

Kathy
