November 7, 2009 ~~~~ AHOY ST.CROIX ~~~~

Shauna,

I will need three. Not sure on the sizes but will get back to you. But I think 2 large and one medium.

Thanks for getting this together and will find out for sure and post tomorrow.

Kathy not sure if I am right but I think pirate night is on thur. DOnt quote me but I thnk so.

My brain isn't working too good today, as usual:lmao:
Which night is Pirate night?

Thanks,

Kathy

pirate:Pirate Night is Tuesday, St. Croix day. I know this because it also happens to be Ashley's (AllThingsDisneyLover) Birthday! :cake:

Howdy all,

Thanks Shauna for all the reading material. It did give me something to read tonight:lmao:
Put us down for 1 medium and 1 large.
The date and name as you have it are great. I woudn't change it at all:thumbsup2 Let us know how much and when to send it.

Thanks Donna for the answer to my question.
I have done several Eastern cruises on DCL but couldnt remember when it was.

But now that I think about it, I do remember. I always though it was so dumb to have to the night before we got to St. Thomas because we had to get up extra early to go through customs at St. Thomas

I think I read somewhere they dont do the early customs anymore. I hope so.
I hated getting up extra early for that.

Kathy.

Kathy.

I read that too, hooray!!! Last time we were on the Eastern Cruise, we really had to rush from customs to breakfast and through breakfast to make it to our meeting spot for our excursion.

Here's what I have so far for wristbands...
Linda LindaBabe 2 (1L, 1M)
Laurie Laurie From London 4 (1L, 1M, 2S)
Traci GoofyTraci 4 (2L, 1M, 1S)
Kathy Mom x4, Grandma x4 2 (1L, 1M)
Shauna stampinshauna 3 (1L, 1M, 1S)
Gail glindamood 2 (2L)
Scott sshaw10060 7 (3L, 3M, 1S)
Christine Silly Little Pixie 4 (1L, 2M, 1S)
Krista Sokay168 12 (2L, 7M, 3S)
Vickie minniemouse71 3 (2L, 1M)
Kim Cowgirl1 3 (2M, 1S)
Donna julylady 4 (2L, 2S)
Eileen Iamdaisyduck 3 (2M, 1S)
Mike SplashMountainManiac 3 (2L, 1M)
Donna TiggerzFan 15 (4L, 4M, 7S)

Please let me know if sizes are not correct.

I've been led to believe that we do not have to do the "customs thing" at all because we never leave U.S. Territory. St. Maarten is not U.S., St. Croix is!:thumbsup2

Shauna - what you have is perfection so don't change it. We will need 2 larges.

And then I have a question - would it be easier to distribute them on the ship??? I would be happy to get mine at the DIS meet although that means that I don't have it to wear in the terminal. But, we never arrive early anyway so I could wait. Your call - but I am happy to get mine on the ship, either way.

Happy Friday everyone,

We are cloudy and cool this morning. It is a welcome change for us.
Going to be a nice cool weekend after such a hot week.

We wont be arriving early at the port. either. This is the first time we arn't going to be there around 10 when they open. But we are coming from WDW on the cruise line bus and they dont come in the mornings.
But i think it would be fun to have the bracelet ahead of time, just to see how many people I can find before the meet.

Of course we will have matching shirts too. So it will be easy for others to recognise us.

Usually my loud voice gives me away:lmao:

Have a great friday everyone,

If Greg gets off early I wont be posting again until sunday night. If he gets off on time I will sneak in one more post this afternoon before heading out to my moms place to visit.

Kathy

The first time that I did the wristbands for a cruise, we distributed them at the meet. The trouble was that everyone wasn't there, so I had to spend time delivering them the first day. I also ended up with some extra and I had them counted exactly, so someone didn't get theirs and I still feel bad that they had paid and didn't get them. We'll be cruising with my in-laws who have never been on DCL, so I'd rather spend that first day with them (don't worry--I'll stop in at the meet), but I'd rather not have to deliver them on the ship.

Last cruise I mailed out the wristbands ahead of time, and while it was a tiny bit more work ahead of time (addressing the envelopes and mailing them), but I had to sort them ahead of time either way. It was so much easier for me because it was taken care of before cruising (and I didn't have to pack them with me).

One thing that would make things a bit easier for me, is that for those of you cruising with family or friends, tell me your order all together and I can mail multiple families' wristbands together. It will save on time and postage (and paypal fees).

Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!

That is most logical - I should have been bright enough to figure that out and you should get to enjoy your first day.

No worries, the first time I did the wristbands, I figured that would be easiest too. When doing it that way, I found that it wasn't as easy as I thought.

I can see that too. If you decide, though, that mailing is too much work/expense, I would be willing to hand them out for you.

Why is it that so many things in life are like that???

Oh yeah. Things like marraige. childrearing. finding a great well paying job. electing honest hardworking politicians. dieting. sticking with a workout plan. teaching your teenager to drive . . . :confused3

...and waiting for the next vacation :goodvibes

We'll take 1 child, 3 medium, and 3 large. Thanks for doing this. I am so ready for a vacation.

Good morning everyone,
Donna, thats great news. We are still Florida residents but will not be by the cruise time. Our new drivers licenses and plates for the cars, and insurance are due in September and will have to change over to Oregon residents.
So we are missing it by one month.:sad2:
If you know your new room number be sure and send it on to Traci for the FE list and if you want it on the cruise mates list send ito n to me too. We want to keep everyone current.

Kathy

Kathy -

Darn, that's a shame about the drivers licenses and plates! What bad timing (for more reasons than this, I'm sure!)

I'll keep you posted on a room number. We've already changed categories AGAIN today so I'll let you know when it's final!

Gang,

I am trying to use Kathy's list to make a spreadsheet (and maybe even a MAP) to enable us to deliver our fe gifts easily. PLEASE make sure she has your information for her list, including whether you are participating in the fish extender exchange! Thanks!

Oh Linda, you are my hero. I can see myself wandering the ship all day to find everyone's cabin! LOL. If sense of direction was measured on a scale of 1 - 10, I am actually a negative 2. LMAO.
