November 7, 2009 ~~~~ AHOY ST.CROIX ~~~~

Traci, thanks to you too, for keeping the list up! I'm SO ready for this cruise :)

No problem. I am sooo ready too. We just paid off the cruise last night and we can book our excursions sunday night. I am sooo excited I can hardly stand myself:banana::banana:. Can't wait to enjoy the open air and fun with my family and disfamily.:grouphug:

CONGRATULATIONS, TRACI!!! :woohoo:

I haven't been on the boards in a while and we were supposed to be at the beach this week, but DH had to go out of town for work so that went out the window!

Paid off the cruise this AM and have already made my Palo ressies. I CAN'T WAIT! I can distinctly hear a chocolate souffle calling my name

DS starts school on Monday so I will finally get some time to start working on my FE gifts.

Hope everyone's week is going well. I'll talk to you soon.

Everyone, please check your info on the list for me for mistakes. I did make a big goof on a name of a spouse:guilty: Sorry Kevin.

I will probably wait until the first of next week to send out a revised list.

That will give everyone time to check it over and maybe someone else will send me their information too.

Hope everyone is having a great day today.
I feel like i am in a sauna today. Sooo HOT!!:faint:

Kathy, thank you so much for the great list!

I am going totally bonkers between getting the kids to and from daycamps and karate, being ridiculously busy at work and trying to get my own stuff done at night... can't wait for school to go back in, then at least the routine is more consistent. School does not start for us until September 8. Next week DS and DD will be spending the week with my dad and stepmom, it will give me a small window to catch up on some stuff! It's their first time going away from us. We went away for a week two years ago and they were fine, but they stayed home with a different set of grandparents, so it was not the same as them going away. I'm sure they will be fine. We always worry about the things that don't turn out to be worry-worthy don't we?

We are having such great weather here lately, nice and hot and sunny. :) It's been around 30.. what is that in farenheit, like about 85-90 I guess?
Hoping to get to the beach this weekend, we love it there. My kids are so used to swimming in Lake Huron, they are going to get a shock when they get into the salt water on the cruise. :scared1: Hopefully nobody swallows too much... that could get ugly. :rotfl2:

Have a great night everyone, ttys.

Hi All,

I created our family t-shirts and thought I would share with you if anyone was interested in making t-shirts. I made this prototype on Zazzle.com

Hope everyone is having a great week!!!!:cool1:

Great looking shirt:goodvibes
I am glad you guys are enjoying the list. I love seeing what everyone looks like too.

We made it to 102 today:scared1: Luckily we have a cooling trend coming, only 95 tomorrow :lmao:

:dance3:

For any of you that can take advantage - our cruise is now under Florida Resident Rates! Woo Hoo!

I could've been a smart DISer and stayed in my secret porthole room and saved a bunch of $$, but NO.... upgraded to a Cat 6 GTY instead! :wizard:

Very cute shirt!

Traci, will you please add my friends Nina and Julio to the FE list, they are in 6605 and have two little girls, Janna 4 and Jayda 3.

Guess I'm going to have to do her posting for her - Nina's pretty overwhelmed at the moment. Yesterday, they assigned her to the baby room at "mom's day out". She's probably the only mom there who never had babies - she got her girls at 1 yr +

She asked me last night if there are any other parents with adopted little ones on this cruise? I said I'd post and find out.

Fish Extenders are done except for the ribbons. Dh cut the rods this morning, and made some nice grooves for the ribbons.

Laurie, maybe not so much of a shock - the water at CC *feels* cold because the air is so warm.

Happy Day, all!

Good morning everyone,
Donna, thats great news. We are still Florida residents but will not be by the cruise time. Our new drivers licenses and plates for the cars, and insurance are due in September and will have to change over to Oregon residents.
So we are missing it by one month.:sad2:
If you know your new room number be sure and send it on to Traci for the FE list and if you want it on the cruise mates list send ito n to me too. We want to keep everyone current.

It is a nice cool 58 this morning, after such a hot day yesterday it really feels great.
Still need to decide on what to do in St. Croix? We just don't seem to have time to discuss it lately. Hopefully tonight we can talk about it.

Enjoy your day everyone,:goodvibes

Your friends have been added to the list. List is current on page 29.

Thank you, Traci! Hope your week is going smoothly :)

Guess i'd better get downstairs and work on my fe gifts.

Just dropping by to see if anybody has posted since this morning.

Pretty quiet around here today.
Just us unemployed people who have nothing better to do:lmao:

84 and climbing right now, we will easily hit 95 today.

I gave the pups extra play time this morning so I dont have to take them out for a long time when it gets hot this afternoon.

Hope everyone is having a good day today.

I'll check back this evening,

Kathy

Okay, the 75 day mark is quickly approaching so it is time to start talking about the wristbands. I also thought today would be a good day to bring this up so that Kathy has something to read when she gets back on later

WRISTBANDS

The pricing on the wristbands is going to depend on how many we order. My guess is that the final price will be between $2.50-$3 per wristband (which includes the wristband, paypal fees, and shipping to you). When I have an approximate count, I'll let you know the exact price and then request payment at that time. I could try to figure out the price per wristband and then add on a certain amount per order for the shipping and paypal fees if you prefer.

There are 3 sizes available:
Large 8-3/8"
Medium 7-3/8"
Child-5-7/8"
I have found that Medium is great for youth and also for a lot of women. I prefer to have my wristband stay on so I get the Medium as the large would fall off easily. Since I just have a 1 year old right now, I have no idea what age would be a Medium vs a Child size, so you may want to measure around wrists to figure out sizes. We can get any quantity of any size and it doesn't affect the price, so just let me know what is best for you.

I will order the wristbands around the end of September and should get them by mid-October. Then I will send them out to each of you mid-October so that you have it before the cruise. It is fun to be able to identify people in the parks or at the airport or in the cruise terminal that are part of our group.

I have a 25 character maximum on the text, so I was thinking...
11.7.09 Ahoy! St. Croix!
Is that okay or does anyone have other suggestions? Oh, and they are the debossed lime green silicone wristbands in case anyone didn't know.

If you know what sizes and how many you want, let me know and I'll keep a list on our thread. If you are cruising with friends or family, if you can combine the order and have just one person gather the $ and let me ship to one person, that would save time and postage. If you are all on this thread, maybe let me know all of your usernames but then I'll list it together (like stampinshauna & castaway kev 5 (2L, 1M, 2C). If you aren't sure on sizes yet but know the quantity, let me know that just so I can start to figure out the pricing. We get a price break at 50-99 and another at 100+. I'm hoping we'll get to 100.

Shauna, I think that's great wording. I'll need 2 - 1 each medium and large. (The teddy bears don't have wrists.) I'll find out about the friends, also.

Kathy, I don't know the answer to that, sorry.

Shauna, we will need 1 large, 1 youth and 2 child please and thank you.
I think the wording is great. Let us know how much we owe you.

thanks!

Very cute shirt!

Happy Day, all!

Oh, it's not the temperature I am worried about, it's the salt! Believe it or not, Lake Huron is pretty warm this time of the year. Not like caribbean warm, but like an unheated pool. DS & DD have never swam in salt water before. Should be interesting!
