I am okay for 9am Monday as long as we don't have character breakfast at that time.

I went to a crop on Friday night and finished the last bit of work on my pages for the swap, then worked on my FE gifts.
Yesterday I did some more work on the FE gifts, they are finally almost done, just 5 more to do. I believe I even have a good way to pack them up and transport them figured out.

Also I went through the kids' FE gifts yesterday and I seem to have miscalculated how many we had in some of the age groups. I think I have it all worked out now, but will double check again just in case.

Today we are off to celebrate my grandma's birthday. No time for any fun cruise planning today.

Just a couple more little things to pick up... I have a feeling we will still have a couple of things to pick up on our way to the port.

Good for you! I am not done but have made some fantastic headway and should be done by the end of the week. I am not so sure there is any clean way to pack mine as I need space for a case of beer and Pepsi in our carry ons after we get there. Shipping will be my way to go I am thinking.

9 am is good with me, I like the idea of meeting outside the coffee shop. That way anyone who wants a specialty coffee can have one, there always seems to be a few tables that are not occupied in that area. But just let me know what you decide. I do have a Palo Brunch at 10:45 on the first sea day but we should be finished by then. I made some more FE gifts last night, thought I was finished with them, but wanted a few extra in case any others sign up. I will be leaving on the 30th, so will be limited in computer time to get updates, so I figured I would just put a few extra together and take them along "just in case".
Gail, enjoy the soccer game. I hope the weather is nice for ya. I will be going to my grandsons football game in a little bit. I only go to support him, I have no clue about that game. Can't follow it to save me. So don't look around for me while ya'll are watching your FB games, I will be sitting somewhere with a dink in one hand and a book in the other.

oh, mg, it's 14 days for us too! no 13, we leave on hallowe'en. I'm off for a nap, but at least I got dressed today - that's progress.

It is hard to believe that we will be on the ship and will be enjoying our first sea day in 3 weeks. I'm ready to relax and not have to worry about what to cook for dinner.

DD seems to be doing pretty well today, I think we caught this early. She slept good except she was coughing a lot and was 103.5 degrees at 2am (thank goodness for Motrin), but I think we all had a better night than last. She seems happy and is eating and drinking and that is what matters. I called my doc and got on Tamiflu as a preventative measure, but DHs doc wouldn't get him any. I was a teeny achy yesterday and am coughing a little so I may have caught it but if so it is very mild. We could all be a lot worse and at least we'll get this over with well before our cruise. Have the rest of you heard a lot about H1N1 in your hometown or is it just having a huge outbreak here? All of the hospitals are getting really busy with patients and they are taking extra precautions and won't let anyone visit who is under 14.

Its too late for this cruise anyway. Never thought about mentioning that option for people?

Some people when they cruise with friends will call a few weeks ahead of time and ask to link their dinner reservations so they can sit together.

I have done it several times. Sometimes the group gets so big it takes 3 or 4 tables to hold everyone. Your next to each other but it was way too many to sit at one table. I think 8 is the largest table.

Anyway its just something some people do. Usually it works out ok. Sometimes it doesnt. But DCL does try to link people when requested.

Sorry, Traci - it was the "other" cruise. I posted a disclaimer that planning two cruises at once was too much for my ancient brain, and you see? I WAS RIGHT, as usual.

The cruise AFTER this one linked all the DIS diners on a particular seating to the same general area, not assigned tables.

Shauna, we've had a lot of H1N1 here too. DD had it 2 weeks ago, missed a week of school. The rest of us, miraculously, did not get it. I've had a lot of students out sick too. My mom seems to have come down with the flu today. Grrrr DS drank after her yesterday at DD's soccer game. I hope he escapes it, DH will be out of town this week for work and I can't afford to take more days off.

We went to Disneyland today and it was packed! But gorgeous weather. I got bride and groom ear hats for us. You'll spot us in the terminal!

How early should I ship my box to the ship? I was thinking this Wednesday? That gives it 10 days?

Well, if DS gets sick, you'll just have to ship him off to grandma's so they can be miserable together. I'm SURE she'd LOVE it. lol

That sounds about right for the box - could take a while from California.

STill dark here, and a balmy 28 degrees F, but at least it's not snowing. Feels funny not to be getting ready for gym, but even if the doc hadn't told me not to go, I just don't have the energy.

I still have a list of things to accomplish today. MUST get prepared for Tomorrow. we have 'training' on our "choices" for a new insurance plan (none good for the insured) AND a followup discussion with the financial planner. In typical ADHD fashion, I can focus for hours on something that engages me (like planning Disney trips) and have a terrible time focusing on something that doesn't (Health insurance and financial planning).

Made lots of headway this weekend toward getting ready for our cruise. All the FEs and kids gifts are completed and labeled. Donna spent one day ironing and folding and we have one table covered with everything we must take. Now next week we must get it all in the suitcases and close all of them up but one. I think we will need one suitcase for all our extra stuff.

A hearty welcome to all our new joiners. It will be fun meeting everyone when we get there.

I think I will call my doctor and see if I can take a prescription of tamiflu along in case I need it. All she can do is say no. If the shots become available before we leave I will go get one but that doesn't seem too likely. I hope everyone who has already contacted the flu is feeling better and will be on top of their game when we leave port.

Time to get to work but it's much more enjoyable reading what everyone has to say about the cruise.

Happy Monday everyone,
No flu around here that i have heard of so far

No swine flu shots available here yet and probably wont be until the day we leave for this trip. I would hate to get one that day in case I have a reaction to it and got ill for a day or two.

That use to happen to people all the time with flu shots. I have heard it doesnt happen quite as much now but I am still not too sure about it.

Cool and rainy here today. Can't wait to get to Florida and warm up

Shauna, I am feeling your pain. My DD has come down with it too. Been on hold for her MD's office for 13 minutes trying to get an appointment to get Tamiflu. Of course this happens on a week when I have 3 meetings. Guess it's better than her getting sick right before we leave. How is your daughter? Hope she is feeling better!!

There is a lot of activity on here today. Hi everyone.

Just got lab results back, DD has the flu. They aren't positive if it is H1N1 but said 95 percent of flu cases right now are. She may have picked it up at her well-check on Tues. Bummer. Their office has seen 120 flu cases this week. At least we caught it early. Needless to say, I'll be home for at least a few days and will be checking the boards a lot to keep my sanity. I guess I should just be glad that it is now and I don't have to worry about her picking it up on the trip.

As far as the scrapbook swap, whatever is fine with me. I just want to be sure that it isn't when we have other things (like the DVC member party). I really need to get busy and figure out my pages.
