Love the photos I love corn mazes. They are so much fun to go through.
Was it very large? How long did it take to find your way through it?

Some mazes we have out here take a couple hours to work your way through.

another week of waiting is gone

I can't wait until our tickers are the last 30 days counting down thats so exciting.
I checked yesterday and still no room number for us. Just GTY
I didnt really expect it this soon but I was hoping just maybe they might of decided our number.

Guess thats one more thing tp look forward too.

I can't believe it's already almost the middle of September, the trip is coming up fast!

I need to look at what the dress code/policy is for dinners and everything. Does anyone have a good link with details? I figured I'd go searching around this forum, the question has probably been asked a 100x. We're not doing any of the super fancy dinners (we did get the wine package for the evenings though) so nothing formal needed.

One other thing I wanted to ask for those that have been on the cruise before. Logan (my 4yo) has heart medication that requires refrigeration. Are the coolers in the cabin enough to keep something like that cold (50/60's for temps would suffice) or do I need to make other arrangements?

Frig is cool but not as cold as a refrigerator. No thermometer in there so i dont know the temp in there. They do have ice buckets they will keep filled with ice for you if that will help? They actually refer to it as a cooler more than a refrigerator. We have kept yogurt in it for 24 hours and it was fine.

Also if you havnt already it is important to fill this out for anyone who has any medical condition where they take medicine. It is handy in case of any emergency for the doctor on board ot have this for me for eveyrone who has an ongoing problem.

I have read on the main DIS boards that you can request a refigerator for medical reasons if you fill out the medical form prior to the cruise. I'm not sure if you need a doctor's note requesting it or not, but if it's not totally clear on the medical form you fill out, I would call DCL or your TA (if you have one) and find out what you need to do to get a refigerator in your room for medical reasons. The "fridges" in the staterooms are not cold enough to keep anything really cold. They are really just a cooler... I don't know if they even are at 50's - 60's temps... for example, I would not store milk in it. It isn't cold enough to keep milk cold, but I'd store juice or fruit, or something like that in the cooler just to keep it "cool".

I just wanted to let you know that the SPH room is still available If you are in a Cat 9-Cat 11 you may want to check it out. As i said before, the rooms were orginally a Cat 8, but were changed to a Cat 10, because of the slightly obstructed view.

So you are paying a Cat 10a price, and getting a free ocean view.

The room # is 5522, i hope someone can snag it, it is a great deal.....

I just got back from the store. I couldnt find even one pair of slacks today. Thats what happens when you live in the country. They stores only carry what they can sell, which is denem products.

But I did get my construction paper to make my 30 day count down chain
So this next week I should start on that project.

plus I need to do my door signs still.

Thought I would post what we are doing for the cruise to see if anyone else is doing similar.

Before the cruise I will be staying at Coronado Springs for work (This is what drove us to take this cruise. We originally were going to wait until the dead of winter to Get Out of Dodge). DW & DD will fly down on Tuesday before the cruise. They will go to DW Wed - Fri. I will go Thurs & Fri. Saturday Morning we will drive to the cruise terminal.

We will be at the All Star Music resort from 10/29 through Nov5th when we take the cruise line bus to the port.

I think there are 2 other families on this thread who will also be at WDW prior ot the cruise.

Hope you wont be stuck working too much. I would have hard time concentrating on work if I was at WDW.

Gma Kathy: I am so jealous you will be at WDW that length of time. It's hard for us to keep the kids out of school for too long, and us out of work for so long. Hopefully there will come a day that we can do exactly what we want. But wait, then there will be grandchildren. I have to say, I don't laugh at much, but I laughed out loud at the pic of DH at the fire hydrant .

As for the dress code, I don't know if DS (5) will wear pants each night to dinner, it may end up being shorts. Any opinions, anyone???

Glad you liked his photo. I thought it was funny as well.

Many kids wear nice shorts at dinner. Even nice looking jeans are fine on young kids. I am a rule follower, but have to admit when Disney says casual dress, you will see about everything in the dining rooms.

Especially on the kids. Who wants to spend a fortune on slacks and dress shirts for young kids who may out grow them by the time the trip is over.
Formal night is the exception.

Our daughter and grandaughter love to dress up so when they come we do formal night. One time we even saw a man in a white t-shirt in Lumieres on formal night. They didnt turn him away or say anything to him.

I am not saying to dress like a slob like he did but just letting you know they are very relaxed about their dress policies. Especially for kids.


We dont like to dress up so on formal night we head to the buffet which is a sit down restaurant all but the first and last night on the ship. Its faster service, a nice but small menu, much quieter too. It use to be from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M.
