Good evening, everyone. Probably most of you on the east coast are fast asleep by now.

I am just now heading to bed... I'm so tired!!! I have been staying up way too late lately, and if finally caught up on me. So, hoping I get a good night's sleep tonight.
Gma Kathy: Thanks for the kids list. Thanks also for the beach pics, it's good to see another part of the country.
Another thought: I've decided to try to purchase all the Christmas gifts that I need and charge them on my Disney Visa to redeem the points towards a gift card for the cruise. Some of you may have thougth of this already but I just got the Disney Visa this year. This way, all that work will be done before vacation.
Question, does anyone know if the cruise-only Dooney & Bourke line is the same as last year (white background with navy blue handles)?
We have used the Disney visa for years and managed to earn lots of points which we have used on the cruise for our on board account or at WDW. We usually use it to book our cruises too because many times you get an extra $50 OBC and no interest on your bill for 6 months if you don't pay it off by then. The perks change all the time but it does help stretch the budget. I think we have 229 points to use this trip. I will transfer it to the rewards card just before the trip.
I have been using cash back credit cards most of the last 2 years and everytime I earn $100 I send off for it and put it in the vacation fund.

I pay the amount i charge off every 2 weeks so there is no interest to pay and the card doesnt build up a balance due. So they are paying me to use their card instead of me paying them.

Re: credit cards, we actually did get a Disney Visa last time we were at WDW. They had a special deal that if you signed up for a Disney Visa, you automatically got a $100 Disney gift card right then.

So, we signed up for it, and then used the gift card to pay for our dinner at WDW that night and got a free dinner!

But, we actually haven't used it since. We looked into it, and we prefer the airline mileage credit cards (we have an Alaska Airlines credit card where we rack up Alaska Airlines miles... so we only fly Alaska Airlines, or one of their airline partners). But, to us, free airfare is much more valuable than points to use toward Disney because we travel so much and fly a lot. So, a good share of the time we fly for free because we get so many miles through our credit card and when my DH travels for work, he gets miles for that, too, so that gets us even more. Depending on the time of the year, airfare for all 4 of us on the direct flight from Seattle -> MCO on Alaska airlines can actually be as expensive as our cruise itself, believe it or not!! So, when we fly to Florida, we almost always fly on mileage tickets (that is how we're getting there in November for this cruise... we redeemed miles for 4 mileage tickets, so it is only costing us $20.00 total to fly round trip from Seattle -> MCO direct.. $5.00 per person service fee.

). So, we decided to not use the Disney Visa at all, but just continue to use our Alaska Airlines card. But, we charge our cruises on our Alaska Airlines credit cards, and so we look at our cruises as going toward free airfare to get to our cruise!
NC2WDW: I don't know what the cruise-only Dooney & Bourke line is. What is it? Now you have me curious.
Thank you so much for offering to pick up the shirt!!

I think we will wait until we get there for real and get one. It gives us an even bigger incentive to go to watch the planes on our next cruise to St. Maarten. We cruise every November the same week. We have a reservation on the Disney Fantasy for Nov. 3, 2012. I'm not sure where it goes. I guess it doesn't really matter as long as we are on a cruise!

The Sunset Bar sounds really cool. Another definite stop when we get to Maho. Anyway, if we ever end up on a cruise with you it had better have some airplane watching for the boys!
Jetflyer: Oh no problem!! Since Tyler's birthday is Nov 3 and my birthday is Nov 10, now that Tyler is getting older, he is choosing to do things like a family trip instead of a big birthday party with his friends (mostly because he knows if we do a family trip, he gets to fly in a plane!!), so I would not be surprised if sometime in the future we end up on another
Disney Cruise during the week of Nov 3 - 10, or in that time frame, because it'd be a birthday present for both Tyler and me. Next time we sign up for a cruise with Disney at that time, I'll have to look for you on the cruise meet. I am sure Brendon and Tyler would get along well. And, you seem like such a nice person yourself!!
Well, I'm turning in for the night!
Oh, Gma Kathy (that seems to be your new name here with so many Kathy's

), I love all your pictures!!!! I just love the Oregon Coast!!! And, your dogs are just so darn cute!! I love it that you take them to a hotel that accepts dogs. So cute. And, the picture of you is really great!!! You do have very long hair! That is probably just asking for lots of knots and tangles when you are on the Oregon coast beaches with all that wind. HAHA!! And, it is great to see a picture of your son, too! Is he the youngest of your kids?? And, where does he live again? It's great you are bringing him with you on the cruise.
All of the pictures you've posted so far of you and your husband and now your son are so nice!!
Ok, take care everyone. I'm off to dreamland!
