Good morning everyone,
This thread is really picking up now, this is GREAT!!!
You ladies should be proud of yourselves. Look at how many posts and pages we have done the last week. More than was done in 2 years
I knew you were a great group of friendly people. Just a little shy at first, maybe

Of course you can tell I am a shy , modest person
I didnt get my excursions booked yesterday but will try to get it done today.
My head hurts a bit. Some how I managed to walk face first into a metal pole on sunday and so my face is all bruised and sore which usually turns into a headache by evening. Thats what happens when your thinking about a
Disney cruise while walking outside

So i didnt get excursions booked and DH was too busy at work to get them done.
But I did get fudge brownies made yesterday which was very important to our tummies.

I'll be back later today and this evening so lets keep up all the great posting here!!!
It
s great getting to know everyone.
Thank you so much for remembering to add your naes to your posts I think I am finally getting them memorized/
Kathy
Ouch! Running right into a metal pole... I hope you are feeling better! I know you know, Kathy, about my craziness with injuries and Disney (will tell others here), so let's not let any of that spread to anyone else here!
For others, I won't bore you with the small details, but this November will be our 4th cruise with Disney, and HOPEFULLY our very first cruise where someone in our family is not injured... we are hoping for a totally injury free cruise for all 4 of us.
To sum it up:
July 2009, DH broke his foot the DAY before our Disney trip (1 week at WDW and 7-day Western cruise)! He was in a wheel chair at WDW (can't do WDW on crutches), which actually ended up getting us to the front of all the lines, so it ended up working out to our benefit. haha.

By the time we were on the cruise, he was just in a walking boot, and hobbling around pretty good.
Feb 2010: In a freak accident on the Disney Magic, I severaly injured my ankle half-way through our Eastern cruise. I wasn't able to do much after I injured my ankle.... didn't break anything, but completely severed a major ligaminet in my ankle, stretched some tendons and tore other tissues in my foot. But, our vacation went on, and we stilll had an awesome time regardless... if you're going to hurt yourself on vacation, Disney is probably the best place to be at... All the CM's were SOOOOO nice and helpful on the ship.
Dec 2010: Dec 31- Jan 21... 5 days planned at WDW, and 16 day Panama Canal cruise.... 2 weeks before we left, I fell on our concrete garage floor (long story!) and fractured my sacrum (big bone in lower back). Dr said I was so fortunate because I didn't need surgery... but long story short, couldn't do any rides at WDW, and had to walk very very slow on our cruise... BUT as always, stilll enjoyed our trip to the fullest! Woudl do the Panama Canal cruise again in the flash if they did it again!!
Basically, I'm one of those people who just rolls with the punches with what life gives you, and is optimisitic and still finds things to smile and be happy about no matter what.
So, I wanted to do the 7-day Eastern cruise for my 40th birthday this year to finally have an injury free cruise for everyone in our family, and be able to do everything I want to do on the cruise... including the Castaway 5K!!! I can't wait... I've never done it before (first cruises, I didn't know about it until after), 2nd and 3rd cruise, I was injured, so couldn't. (Ironically, though, on the Panama Canal cruise, we had to skip
Castaway Cay because it was too windy to dock).
All is good... I am very careful always when I walk, go down stairs, everywhere, and so is DH and our kids...
Sooooo, that is why I joked about Kathy running into a pole! Funny thing is that sounds like something I would do myself! LOL!!!
So, now everyone knows why this cruise willl be EXTRA special for us... It has been a tough and painful 1 1/2 years of injuries for me, but I'm finally pain free, totally healed, and running again (hence my screen name), so I think I was just getting all my injuries out in my 38th and 39th year of my life and my 40's will be GREAT (turning 40 on Nov 10 on our cruise!!

).
Take care,
Kathy
