November 4th, 2007 Disney Wonder Roll Call

Henlady, you are officially nominated as "Secretary" for our cruise. Loved your role call list.:surfweb:

We won't be able to be at port early as we are flying in same day :scared1: and are scheduled to get into MCO around 12:30 (I hope) but probably closer to 1:00. Don't know how fast we will be able to make it out to port as we are on the DCL land transfer so we are just going with the flow. Let me know if you are planning a hello get together (hopefully after life boat drill).

We aren't booking Palo this time out because we didn't want to abandon our DD (13). Will save that for a future cruise.

We have late dining (hopefully not 8:30 - ugh).

DH and DD are planning on doing the Atlantis Excursion and the Stingray thing on CC. I want to go over to the Atlantis but don't want to do the waterpark - rather do the acquarium, take lots and lots of pictures, and "peek" into the casino.

I'm definitely planning on going to Pajama Bingo on our At Sea day.

We will be heading to the port for 10am arrival as well.

We have Palo Brunch 12-1:30pm

And we are going on the tour of the city and glass bottom boat tour at NAssau.

Hey dudes :wave2: You can put me on the list but don't tell my wife :rotfl: She's not a real fan of Disney and I had to talk her into doing this trip. It will be my 30th b-day (Nov 8, I know disembark day :upsidedow ) If she even knew I was writing this right now she'd kill me :scared:

So maybe I'll see ya all around. Here is what our family looks like:

DSC02684-1.jpg

We are Joe (myself, 29/30), Bridget (wife, 29), Olivia (daughter, 6) and Anna (daughter, 3). Nevermind the lady in the green shirt. That is Grandma and she isn't sailing with us... This will also be our first Disney Cruise :yay: I don't know why it would matter, unless you want to ding-dong-ditch us, but our stateroom is #7020. We have early dining...

So yeah, if you see us, come say hi! :) Just don't say you know me from the Dis :rolleyes1

Did I miss anyone?
Who all is planning on being at port as soon as it opens 10:00am/10:30am?
Doing Palo Brunch on the "at sea" day? What time is your reservation?
Want to list any other info? Please feel free and I'll post it beside your name.

I am an obsessive "list maker".:rolleyes1

Received our documents today.:cheer2: Cat, Room # and Deck the same. Cat 5, Deck 7 Room 7104. Come by for a drink.

We don't have a reservation for the brunch for Palo:sad2: but we have a reservation for dinner at Palo on Wednesday night. When I get to the ship I want to see if I can get a brunch reservation instead of dinner. Keep your fingers crossed

Will be doing the Atlantis in Nassau on Monday.Family wants gambling, waterpark and The Dig. Called Atlantis and you can get all of that plus much more for $86 per person. Think we are going that way or might get a room at CS. A little cheaper

We will be doing some snorkeling at CC. Going to rent equipment there for my DH and DD and Banana Boat at CC for all of us.

Will be arriving at port at hopefully by noon. We are coming in that morning to MCO from Long Island, NY.

No documents yet, no sign of an upgrade on our DCL reservation page:sad2:

We are bunked in with the castmembers :rotfl: way down on deck 1 unless the upgrade fairy pays us a visit. :charac2: Oh well, I'm happy about the split bath, I'm packing my nightlight and will enjoy the peace and quiet.

Steph - Are you saying we can just get a cab or take the water taxi to atlantis and pay on $86 directly at the Atlantis instead of the $155 pp on the DCL excursion????? If this is the case, why all the talk on the boards about booking a room at Comfort Suites? Any more info (such as do they only have a limited amount of passes, etc) would be appreciated because we want to do this excursion without spending a fortune on it. DD13 has hear heart set on it.

I will keep my fingers crossed for your upgrade. :worship:

The reason people get the room at CS or Atlantis is because it's cheaper, depending on how many people are in your party. For us (4 people) it would cost $344 through Atlantis or a whopping $620 through Disney. Instead we got a room at CS that will cost us $198. But if your party has one or two people you'd be better off going through Atlantis.

What I still don't understand is how Disney gets away with charging so much. Why would people pay $155 a person?? :confused3

DD AND I ARE 7625 AND DM & DD ARE 7627!:cheer2:

Our docs came yesterday. No upgrade - still cat 11 on deck 6. I've always been on deck 2 before in a cat 9, so we'll see how I like this room. No Palo brunch for me - since it's just DD7 and I cruising. We will explore Nassau on our own - probably go to Ardastra and do some shopping in town.

Just got home from work and guess what I found waiting for me.........YES, those beautiful DOCUMENTS

Already filled out what I could online, but it's nice to see those Bahamas forms and the luggage tags. YEAH:dance3:

Just checking to see if Heather and Joe checked in. Great friends/family of ours. I know they are on this cruise with 3 of their kids. Are you all do fish extenders?

oops, I feel dumb, they're on the Nov 11. "I" was supposed to be on this one, but cancelled and did a different cruise, got them mixed up...just ignore me...and have a great time!

Found my cruise documents on the step when I got home today.

Sigh - no upgrade. Oh Well. Deck 1 (Cat 10) here I come!!

Thanks for the info Monica. I keep going round and round about Nassau Day.

After having a family sit down - we looked over the Atlantis websight and have decided that it probably is just not worth the $$$ for the Aquaventure. (DD decided some of the slides were just way too steep for her. I told her we would definitely do Typhoon Lagoon again next time we are at the Mouse House.)

I'm going to play it by ear and see what the weather forcast is for our Monday in the Bahamas. We are probably going to do the Atlantis Beach Day (acquarium and beach access/including lunch)- unless I change my mind 14 more times. :rotfl2:

Going back to packing - I've got to remember to not bring more dinner outfits than we have dinners. :rotfl:

STILL ENCOURAGING EVERYONE TO DRESS FOR PIRATE NIGHT!!!!!!!:pirate:

We got our documents today also!:yay: In Nassau, we are thinking about just hitting the beach. I am trying to find out information about using the beach at the Hilton.

Is Pirate night the last night of the cruise?

Pirate Night is on Tuesday Night. (Our Castaway Cay day).

Pirate festivities and menu in the dining rooms and the big deck party and fireworks that night too.

Disclaimer: All information gleaned from surfing DIS Boards - Refer to your Navigator for official information!!!!

I am sooooo looking forward to Pirate Night. :pirate:

From my crusing the boards since August, I have learned that some people go all out with their pirate costumes while others get into the spirit with the a pirate t-shirt or at least the headscarves handed out at dinner.

You have a beautiful family...glad you found us over here! :grouphug: We'll keep your Disboard ID on the DL (did ya get that??). ;)
Thank you! Yeah, I got it :rotfl2: My wife tells me just about on a daily basis how much of a freak I am for being a 29 yr old guy that loves everything Disney. She just doesn't get it. I don't know if she ever will...

Beautiful family Joe! And I took a peek at your Photo Blog. Awesome pictures!
Thanks! I post regularly over on the Disney World Picture of the Day thread... It's kind of my 'home' here on the Dis...

WELCOME Jimoig & O Joeparty:
Thanks! I'm looking forward to it... hopefully it lives up to all the hype :)
