November 4th, 2007 Disney Wonder Roll Call

We're good...thank you everyone for the well wishes.

I'm finishing up our bags and we're headed out in about 6 hours. See you on the Wonder! :woohoo:

Me too Joe. I can't believe we're actually leaving tomorrow morning.
I'm sitting here paying the bills for the company and I keep thinking about what else I need to do before we leave. I took a couple of minutes break to check out the Dis boards to hopefully clear my head. But I don't think it's gonna work.

I'm too excited to work:cool1:  :yay:

Work is something that I do in bursts between getting ready for the CRUISE!! :surfweb:

Luckily, I have a wonderful, understanding boss. He got his vacation fix in last week and totally gets that I don't feel like working. Actually, I am such a work-o-haulic that he is enjoying my pre-trip mayhem. Anything I don't get done will keep until I get back. Mentally, I made today (Thursday) my last day at work so that gives me Friday to finish up.

Excitement continues to build. Planning lots of pictures I want to take for that post-trip slideshow I want to put together.

Making myself crazy trying not to forget anything. DH has been told to make me show him the cruise documents and passports before we leave for the airport.

We are flying on Sunday morning and hopefully all will go smoothly. Can't wait to be on board!!!!!

11:40 PM THURSDAY NIGHT FINISHED PACKING! WORK WAS LIKE THE DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS TODAY. I THOUGHT IT WOULD NEVER END! C U ALL ON THE WONDER!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

in one hour (7:30 am), we'll be on our way.

You all have a safe journey. See you on Sunday!!:cheer2:

I was suppose to get most of my packing done yesterday and that didn't happen.:scared1: I am working on Friday and we plan to leave early Sat morning. Unfortunately both my boys will be missing 2 soccer games while we are gone since last weekends game was rescheduled to tomorrow because of rain.

Of course it hardly rained the whole month of Oct and waited until the last weekend to dump it all at once but with the lack of rain and drought like conditions we'll take what we get when it happens.

Filled out all the forms on line last night, nothing like waiting until the last minute. Canceled our watercraft excursion at CC and registerd the boys for the lab even though they said they're not going to go to them. :rolleyes1 I also cleared out all the camera memory cards so I'm ready to start taking lots of pictures.

I have ALOT of packing to do and not alot of time to do it in if I also plan to sleep tonight. It's going to be a loong car trip until we see the ship, but then that will make it all worth it.

I hope that CC didn't sustain much damage, anyone know how to find out? I think the Wonder left yesterday for the 3 day so they should be going to CC tomorrow, is that right?

I'll try to make it to the meet, secret deck 7 aft at 3:15, is that right? Anyone still left to verify?

I am still here. We will be leaving on Sunday morning early, The deck party is at 3:15 pm or 3:30 pm. We will try and get there at that time.

Don't feel bad. I still have a list a mile long to get things done before we leave on Sunday.

See you on the wonder,

Stephanie :dance3:

I know most of you are gone and I've told you all that I was origially on the Wonder, Nov 4th trip and switched to the Nov 11th trip to get a Florida resident's discount, well, I had to have an emergency appendectomy yesterday and would not have been able to go on the cruise after all!!! Isn't that weaird that I switched???? Is it divine intervention or Mickey intervention???? Hope you all have fun!!!! let me know how it was......

Made it back home swiftly and safely - landed back in Philadelphia around 2:30 p.m. Thursday 11/8.

Totally, totally exhausted but had a fabulous time.

Sorry I didn't meet more people - I kept bumping into Patty and Rich and Chris but didn't find the rest of the gang.

Looking forward to reading all your post cruise posts!!!!

I haven't done an actual count but I think we took close to 700 pictures!!!
(Probably not as many as Joe!!!)

... well sorry i didn't see this before ... we just got off the boat too. Me, my wife and our two boys went. We were the couple wondering around looking like we lost something all the time, because we never had time alone without the kids before ..... what an experience ... couple of low points tho,

The bingo guy called way too fast for the final game on Wednesday (coverall).

Getting off the ship was no fun either ..... :(

Found through expedia if we did the 7 day cruise 12-1-07 it would have only cost us about 3 hundred more .. were doing a week next time.

Our kids really didn't want anything to do with us ... thats sooooooo strange.

what a great experience ........ we loved it.

I didn't see anybody. But then again I didn't know what anybody looked like - so... I probably did see everybody at one point but didn't realize it...

I flat out forgot to meet on deck 7 aft at 3:15.

Maybe next time...

No - you beat the pants off me... I only took somewhere around 400. My Sony camera broke at the airport, so I had to buy a new (lesser) camera. It's a Panasonic DMC-TZ3 and I'm very pleased with the results, but I still like my Sony better...

Joe - So sorry to hear about your camera, that would have been a bummer! Glad you were able to get a replacement though. I have a panasonic, but it's more like your old one, 12x optical zoom, mine is the DMC FZ20.

Anyways I took so many pics that even my DH started to complain, I don't know how many but if I check I'll let everyone know.

We too forgot about the meets scheduled and we also canceled our Palo brunch so no seeing anyone then either.

We drove back home yesterday and arrived home in the cold and dark but safe and sound. Will check back later and post some pics when I get a chance, got lots of laundry and unpacking to do. :sad2:

We had a GREAT time on the cruise. Our kids did not want to have anything to do with the kids club. After 9 days in DW we kinda just slacked on the cruise and relaxed a ton! We had a great time doing the dolphin swim. We rebooked a 7 night for the end of September. The only bummer was a few of the other cruisers weren't to kind to us. I got a couple of under breath comments directed my way (I have good hearing)...oh well...We were the random people you saw wandering looking out of place :) I have long dreadlocks and we never dressed up! We did however run into a bunch of really nice people as well. To each their own!!!

We got off the cruise at 8am east coast time and finally made it home at 11:30 west coast time...

We made it home very late last night. Our flight from Orlando was delayed (and I had a very bad experience with security which made my sad mood go to grumpy), then we had to fly to Las Vegas and then to Oakland. We were so bummed to leave but it was nice to be home.

Hope everyone made it home safe and had a wonderful time. Our whole trip was perfect and we can't wait to cruise again. I'm hoping to write a trip report soon (even though I know no one will read it :lmao: ) because I want to preserve all these wonderful memories.

Kris, Patty and Carmen...it was nice to meet you! :wave2:

Hi everybody.... Just got home about an hour ago via the autotrain then a 4 hour drive to central PA. Guess what we had when we got home???
SNOW!!! We went from beautiful white sand and blue waters to SNOW:scared: :crazy2: What a bummer.

Monica sorry to hear about a not so great return flight(s).

It was wonderful to meet those that we did.

Joe, I think I saw you and your family on the tram at Castaway cay, but wasn't sure so I didn't call out your name.

Gotta go unpack and pay some attention to the dog, he's sitting here staring at me.;)

Catch you all later.

Hey Joe: Sorry to hear about your camera! We also had a bad camera moment. DH thought I was carrying both cameras and therefore didn't realize he lost his (the one with 500+ pictures on the memory card) on the ship. Luckily, someone had found it and it was at the lost and found before we even realized it was lost.

Chris - What a climate change for you!!! We got back to 40 degrees and lots of leaves that need to be raked. Our cat was also pleased that we returned, after spending 4 days being cared for by her "grandparents".

Owenscott - We've played bingo at the Atlantic City, NJ casinos - trust me he was calling slow for those playing 12 cards. (Though I will say those punch cards were cumbersome.)

We also loved the cruise so much that we rebooked the 7 nite Western for next November but I want to get MAIN/EARLY seating next time. Hated the 8:30 late seating!!!!

I must have caught something on the plane on the way down that took 4 days to incubate - sore throat Thursday turned into a full blown ick and I've been sick since yesterday.

For those who were lucky enough to dine at Palo, which was better? Brunch or Dinner??
