I would appreciate seeing how many we have so far. It does help for planning ahead, although we know more will join. I plan on a home made item and I can keep caught up if you post the FE list maybe once every 4 to 6 weeks.

Hi all, sorry that I've been mia for awhile. My mom came home from rehab a few days before Christmas and I think I brought something along with her. I just kicked a nasty cold about a week ago just to get it again so I can sympathize with you Kathy. Hello and welcome by the way.

My dad who has Alzheimers is now in a nursing home. I did everything that I could to keep him home but when he took off in the middle of the night and I had to call to police to find him. Well it was one incident after another and I think the Rutland police were getting a bit tired of bringing him back. He's doing well.

to all new cruisers. This group is really growing. Though I am not on FB yet, I'm still thinking about it. Just to let you know, I am a DISigner here on the Creative DISigning thread. I'm taking a break from my thread for obvious reasons and will be back in the spring. I have a file dedicated to our cruise meet in my Photobucket account. Great to meet you. Hope you can get rid of the cold soon. Mine is much better now accept the cough. That seems to linger on.

I can sympathize with you about having to find a place for your dad to live now. I went through that with my mom. It just killed me to have to admit her to a Dimentia facility but it actually helped her to have the constant care we couldnt provide.
Then after experiencing some of the bad episodes Dimentia patients experience from time to time I knew I couldnt of handle it properly and mom probably would have got hurt. After that i knew it was the right decision to have properly trained staff to care for her.
Your dad is fortunate to have a caring daughter who realized what was best for his well being.


If you ever need to let off some steam about this feel free to PM me or e-mail and vent. I have been there for 2 years before loosing my mom recently and believe me you're not alone in your decisions although it may feel like it at times.

Good morning all,
I actually decided on my FE gfts already. I am usually a last minute person but not this time.


I will do a few at a time to pass time while waiting for this cruise. That way I wont have a lot to do right at the end.
I have bought what I need to get started. So now the fun can begin!!

I haven't booked yet, although I thought that I would get a good rate booking early, but it was still $159.00.

I'm going to keep watching it and see if a better rate is out there.

We are staying at the Hyatt, too. I am getting a rate of $169 for two double beds. We are thinking of adding on the breakfast package for an additional $10 but we don't know yet. I'm going to hold off for a little to see if we can get a better deal.

We may actually stay at the Hyatt for two nights as we are thinking of flying in late Thursday night (so we can still have Thanksgiving at home) and going to Legoland on Friday. Oh, I'm so indecisive. I just need to make a plan and stick to it...

The Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport using the LMT Club comes up at a rate of $108 per night, in the last few weeks I have seen the rate as low at 87. For those of you that never heard of this, neither did I until recently. I was reading that with the Last Minute club you get cheap rates similar to what can be found on Hotwire and sites like that but you know what properties you are booking, there is no mystery. We have a Master List of the participants in the FE over on the Facebook page. Since you are also on there you are free to look at what we have so far. I hesitate to post real names, ages, cabins etc here because it is public. Our Facebook group is private and info there can only be seen there. If you have trouble finding it, let me know and I can help you out! I believe as of today, we have 28 cabins participating.

Hi Kathy, I'm still sick with a cold and dealing with the cold. Last night the wind chill was 18 below and it's 11 right now. The heat is up and I'm staying inside today and dreaming of warmer weather. Our white stuff is now frozen over. They don't call Rutland, "Little Alaska" for nothing.

Thanks, not sure what we will do. I am still fighting off the end of my cold. Probably will wind up at WDW at least one full day. We usually do different theme parks every weekend.

Sorry you have a cold. I have had one for almost 2 weeks now, but it is getting better. I have a 3 day cruise on the Dream on thursday so I am desperately trying to get rid of it before then. Plus finish up my Fe gifts.

We have warm weather here. 74 right now and sunny. So glad I dont live where you do. We both hate the cold. It really makes the bones ache and arthritis hurt! I sound like an old lday dont I.
