November 30, 2013 Eastern Caribbean on the Fantasy

Ok. I just had second thoughts about posting the cabin info...sorry. Let me know if you would like it removed. This is my FIRST time organizing the FE, so please bear with me and offer any ideas on improvement!!

I also just wanted to suggest a Meet Up on embarkation day. We did it on the Dream, although not many people attended, it was great getting to put a face with the name. That way when we saw each other on board we could say hello! I'm thinking people didn't attend because it was a 4 night and didn't want to cut into their short time on board! We did ours in D Lounge I think at 3:00, right before the safety drill, but it may be fun to have a set place during the Sail Away and toast the cruise, or possibly in the Atrium and take a group photo! What does everyone ekes think???

I really don't care about the cabin # thing, I mean if you plan on doing the FE (which I do by the way, please put me on the list!) I'll have to give # anyway!

I think a DISmeet the first day would be a great idea. I've been kicking around the idea of seeing if anyone would like to do a scavenger hunt too...an all week, at your leisure type, silly things, some items, some photos, and I'd give the list out to anyone interested at the meet. Of course, there'd be some type of prize involved ;)

Hi Kelly!! It's Julia here!! Yes! Kelly has been added to the FB page and we are all having fun getting to know each other! :)

I would be interested in doing the Champagne Girl Party!! I'm not really a drinker, so a few sips and I'm gone!! DH will like that! :-D keep me updated on the planning!
I'm thinking it would just be easier to have DCL provide the champagne if it still costs $20 corkage fee anyway, right? Less to have to bring on board!

Hey, I think the fun part will be dressing up anyway!! I prefer frou-frou drinks, but I'll go with the flow! It probably be much easier for the tasting by DCL than BYO, I guess we can decide when the cruise gets closer and we are able to iron out arrangements with the Cruise line.

HI JULIA, I THOUGHT I ALREADY WAS ON THE FE LIST. IF NOT JUST ADD LAURA AND ME.:thumbsup2 I WILL HAVE TO LOOK UP OUR CABIN I KNOW ITS AFT AND THE FLAG POLE IS ON OUR VERANDA :rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Are you going to play taps and reville every day? I noticed on some of the Pink Champagne Girls threads that they had "Cabanna Boys" to help pour drinks....I'm thinking you might be a perfect candidate!!

THIS IS MY WEBSITE

www.canadiandeernuts.com

JULIA HAS SEEN MY DEERNUTS. I BROUGHT 3 LAST DEC. ONE WAS DRESSED AS PIRATE ANOTHER IN BEACHWEAR ON CHAIR AND ANOTHER WAS DISNEY RELATED. I ALWAYS GIVE THEM AWAY AT THE END OF THE CRUISE.

I meant to ask you earlier, if you link our dining reservations together, does that mean we'd all have the same dining rotation? Sounds like a "Duh" question, but thought I'd ask anyway. I think we will be doing Palos one night, and Cabanna's one night.....not too interested in doing Remy again.

SOUNDS LIKE A FUN THING TO DO. IF YOU CAN ORGANIZE IT WE ARE IN:thumbsup2

WE HAVE DONE 5 DVC MEMBER CRUISE, THIS SEPT WILL BE OUR 6th. AS SOON AS EVERYONE AT OUR TABLE BOOKS THE CRUISE WE GIVE OUR RESSIE NUMBER TO ONE OF THE COUPLES AND THEY LINK US TOGETHER. THAT USUALLY WAS ME. SO WE HAVE HAD THE SAME TABLE FOR 8 ALL 6 CRUISES. YES WE WOULD HAVE THE SAME ROTATION. WE WOULD BE SITTING WITH EACH OTHER FOR THE WHOLE CRUISE. WHEN YOU DO PALOS ETC WE STILL SIT AT OUR REGULAR TABLE WITH THE OTHERS WE ARE LINKED WITH. WE WOULD HAVE 2 EMPTY CHAIRS AT THE TABLE. OR IF LAURA AND I ARE AT PALOS THEN OUR SPOT WILL BE EMPTY.

Oh, I LOVE the Deernuts! :thumbsup2

A Meet-up somewhere on the first day sounds good. Those tend to be short since everyone is running around trying to get unpacked, get to Muster Drill and so forth. But it's a GREAT way to put faces to names.

My feeling on meet-ups, dinner and things, no one should feel obligated to be at every single one, or feel bad if you have other plans! If people link dinner reservations for the MDR's, don't feel bad about going to Palo or Remy or Cabanas. This cruise is everyone's cruise! :goodvibes

Now with the Pink Champagne Girls event, one of them is likely to be a set time since we hope to arrange for a private tasting. We should know well in advance when it will be. If we do it through DCL, they tend to want people to sign up for it and have each person responsible for the tasting fee. However, our cruise is some time away - so it'll be later when we firm up plans. If there is a lot of interest, we may also try to see if we can do another informal meet up later one evening in Ooh-La-La (or even another spot). That one would be more of a show-up-if-you-can type of thing.

I'm pretty sure Kelly feels the same way as I do - it's not about the drinking - it's about the fun of it. Pink boas and tiaras and getting our pink on! We will also welcome "cabana boys".

A scavenger hunt sounds fun too!

Hopefully when I get the website figured out (my first time playing with Google's website features), we can put more info on meets we hope to have, as well as the info for FE's. ANYONE should feel free to have a meet or fun event.

Sounds like we are on the same page! Of course we tweak and change as new ideas and others chime in. I definitely would like for the PCG meeting to be on a sea day though! I'm working on a scavenger hunt list...I'm trying to make it cruise specific, but not FANTASY specific, so no one has an unfair advantage if they already know the ship. Here's a few teasers: 1. Bring a napkin signed by one of your waiters.(ITEM) 2. Pose like Jack and Rose at the Forward of the ship (PIC) 3. (This is kind of naughty)....take a picture of an undergarment hanging on the main lobby christmas tree....

Anyone has any ideas, please PM me and we'll pick the best-of-the-best.

This is going to be the BEST CRUISE EVER...especially if DEERNUTS is our Cabanna Boy!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Sounds great!! I think it'll be especially fun to be sitting with friends, instead of a bunch of strangers (not that I mind meeting new people!!)

I just put a deposit on this cruise while on PCC 3.0. It will be me and my DH Tom. I will be celebrating my 49th birthday during the cruise. We have cabin 9560 and late dining. I haven't had a chance to read through the entire thread, but I look forward to getting to know everyone over the next year plus. I'm also interested in participating in the FE.

Howdy from Colorado!!! 49 huh? Guess you can't join the "fun one's" over 50 crowd!!!! :rotfl: j/k!! I have a feeling this is going to be a really fun group!! We (me & DH) will be going sans kids and late diners too...same as Deernuts and Phamtomsgirl (Holly). Please check out our Pink Champagne Girls FB page! We own at BWV too...figured that would be the best way to enjoy F&W every year! Will your birthday actually be during the cruise, or are you just celebrating during the cruise?

My birthday is actually during the cruise, 12/2! I've done Champagne Girls on one cruise and it's lots of fun so I'll definitely check out the FB page.

I will add you to the FE group! Welcome to the cruise!! I will be celebrating my 49th bday on 12/3!! I have started a Facebook page for our group if you would like to join, just friend request me (Julia Lehman) and I can add you to the group!! The cruise group is a cruise specific page Fantasy Fantastic Voyage, not my page. I suppose you could just request to join the group, it's a closed group.

Ian, I have added you and Laura to the FE group!!

By the way, I hope to have the website for our cruise done within the next week or so. I'm using Google Sites and there is a bit of a learning curve. BUT, what it should do is help us organize for our events like the FE, and a place to list our Meets.

Bear with me a bit more, and I should have it!
