:welcome: once you start cruising with DCL, it's hard to stop! :good vibes
and the shorter cruises will never be long enough! Heck, even the 7 days aren't long enough...always leave them wanting more....DCL does that really well! :thumbsup2

Any suggestions for a nice quiet beach? or places to get a good lunch? We aren't interested in shopping. Do you know anything about the Old Harbor Brewery?

The Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino sells day passes for $35 plus tax. I am thinking my kids are going to get frustrated with the pools on the ship and thinking of doing this from say 10-2 while in port. Pools/beach included. Figured we just get a light lunch nachos or something.

Trying to get a definite as to what port we are docking in?? Does anyone know??? I want something not too far from port if I am going on my own, rather than thru DCL.

Welcome to our newbie. We also have an active facebook group if you would like to join.

My husband just told me I messed up his age for the roll call LOL! His birthday is only a week before we sail and I didn't think about that when typing out our info. He will be 46, not 45 for the cruise. :)

Hi, I just posted it in the FB page, but just in case anyone else is wondering about the port in San Juan, their is only one port in which all cruises come in and out in San Juan. The address is: Port of San Juan PR -
ADDRESS: Paseo Concepcion de Garcia
Pier (Muelle) #4
Old San Juan, Puerto Rico

I hope this helps.

Hahahaha! When is his birthday? Mine is the 28th (the Sunday before we leave) ... and I'll be 46, as well.

He is also the 28th :) My son & I have already had our birthdays for this year and I didn't even think about it when I listed our ages - just gave everyone's current age. He enjoyed laughing at me! (However, I have never actually forgotten his birthday and he did forget mine once - but only once! :rotfl2:)

The Old Harbor Brewery is great! We don't drink, but we went to eat and the food was fantastic. A bit pricey, but good. The restaurant is nice, nice ambiance. As for a beach, I don't think any of them will be quite, quite considering school is out and San Juan is where a lot of people go to, but our favorite in San Juan is "El Escambrón" which is also known as "Parque del Tercer Milenio" or in English "Third Millennium Park" We like this one because although it is not a huge shore line, it's protected by huge boulders which makes the swimming area enclosed. Dh loved going here because he felt protected that nothing would come into the bay (He is terrified of almost all sea creatures). Its really nice, the water is great! Its the closest bathing beach from the port. I would say its about 30 minutes to walk. Their is a restaurant where you can buy food if you get hungry and you have people selling souvenirs and beach gear.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if I can assist further :wizard::flower3:

Was reading in a tour book, that there was a free trolley that would do a loop on in San juan with stops at some of the major attractions, does anyone no if this still exists. We thought that might be something interesting to do so visit the island for photos, being the first time in PR.

Thanks. I guess I was confused as I kept reading there were two different ports there when I was on trip advisor and people were asking questions about various hotels to stay at precruise. The Marriott is 2.8 miles away, just fyi.

Im guessing the reason why trip advisor says their are two ports is because on the same port their is an area I want to say maybe 1 mile or less, but on the same coast where some cruises dock. My husband who is from PR actually pointed this out to me yesterday. I honestly do not remember this when we used to live there. Every time we had family and friends come in and out it was from the same place, which is the address I posted. He says he actually took his aunt to this other port once. I do not know if the wording should be another port since it's right there, off to the side, but in the same bay. But maybe this is where the confusion lies. Either way its the same general area, its not on the other side of the island or anything like that.

Hello I'm a first timer Janet (DW) traveling with (DH) Roger and (DN) Trinity. We are looking forward to a new experience with the TorresTrio. :yay:

Hi there Club Moss! How are you guys doing? Haven't been on in a while. Where would you guys like to go when we get to P.R.? DH wants to try the Fort and the Brewery. It will be nice to step foot on land. What do you think?

I was wondering if everybody wanted a cutoff date for the fe. If you did how about the end of August? :confused3
What do we do for the people after that date?
Just want some input from everybody. Please. Thank you

I think that is a really good idea. The end of August is fine with me. Do we have a running list now? If so how might I find it? Thanks.

Whew ... sorry that it's been so long since I've posted. Between VBS, my son's music camp, our kids' homeschool plays, and NO a/c ... it's been a summer already!

I'm updating the roll call now.

YES ... on the red shirts. I think that's the best option. I agree that the black wouldn't show up as well.

So ... big logo on front?? Is that the consensus??

We will buy red t shirts and then get the graphic from where? Your help is appreciated.

Ok .... it's official -

Red shirts. Logo on front. You can find the logo here

Don't forget that you need to follow the instructions on your transfer paper. They may (or may not) say to reverse your design before you print it.

It will be neat to see all of our red shirts on November 3rd!!!
