More Fridays before we on our Disney cruise vacation

:banana::cool1::cheer2:

I hope everybody is ready

We are from NJ. My daughter will 10 and my son will be 8.:cheer2:

We are from NJ too, as are several others! I know there was one NJ meet up already, but those of us with kids should try to do one too! My daughter is so disappointed that the family we met on our last cruise won't be on this one. It would be great to know others ahead of time!

Daniellenbella, would love to work and try to set NJ meet. Was thinking that maybe we could try to set up two before the cruise, one maybe in July and anotherr maybe in early September. NJ crusiers please chime in with what you think.

Last cruise in 2009 on the Magic over NJ week, we had done two also. We did them at a minicpal or county park that someone made arrangements for a picnic area, and everyone brought there own snsck, lunch and drinks.

Everyone brought some activity games, ie soccer, basketball, lawn darts, frisbees, etc.

Our girls are still in touch with some of thoise from the cruise meets today.

I am hoping to join in the chat tonight. It will keep me awake for my midnight excursion bookings for our August cruise.

I also just booked airfare for Sunday, Nov 11 home. Got an awesome deal out of West Palm Beach. Our plan is to either stay the night at Vero with DVC points or crash at the in laws house in Jupiter.

On Spirit as well. Since our car will already be at the AC airport, I was trying really hard to find decent flights back to AC. Going out of PBI never occurred to me. We fly into there all the time to go to my in laws, but I don't know why I did not try it for cruising.

I just heard from Ntheory (Shell), she is having computer problems. If anyone requested the link and password from Shell and has not heard back or needs the link and password to the room, Please send me a PM on Disboards with your email and I will send the link and the password. Sorry for the confusion.

We are also in NJ and have 9 yr old girls. We would love to get together with some of the other families from NJ that are cruising.

We are doing the exact same thing as you, except that we are spending the 10th with my Mom in Delray Beach.

I am writting this post with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes. I really enjoyed getting to know all of you on here and you all seem like such a wonderful group of people. I have been on many cruises and never really wanted to participate in discussions or meet and greets as I did with this group. But unfortunetly, we had to make a tough choice for our family and ended up moving our cruise to Dec 1st.

As I previously mentioned, DH got a great job driving a truck for Sysco foods. This is very different from his life as a chef and I am thankful for that because he will be home at night and on the weekends. The company has amazing benefits better than any resturant ever did. He gets paid more than he was as a chef and has the ability to move up in this company. I am very happy for him, love him and would do anything for him. So since we have to go to Cali in Oct, 1 week before the cruise and he doesn't actually get any vacation time till Nov 18th we chose to move the cruise. Appearance wise it will look better than taking back to back vacations, money wise we don't lose any.

I am sad for a variety of reasons: DD has to miss 2 extra days of school then previously planned and they are in the middle of the grading period not the begining, I have to miss the Mickey's not so scary Halloween party, I have to miss the wine and dine 1/2 marathon (good thing I didn't sign up yet cause I'm lazy and forgetful), I have to wait an extra 4 weeks to go on the ship, I had to give up my CAT8D room which had a murphy bed in it and I have to miss meeting all of you.

On a bright note paid an extra $50 and got a CAT7A GTY which DH loves him a veranda so he will be happy I will be happy. We are super excited about the christmas decoration being up, last time we were on the Magic the week they were finishing them so DH didn't get to see the finished ginger bread house, so he can't wait to see this one. And we will be togther as a family and even though the Nov cruise was on my B-day I am celebrating it on this cruise a month late.

we do what we have to for the ones we love.

I hope all of you have a great cruise and lots of fun on the ship. Thanks for all the great conversations on the discussion board, Facebook and the chat room.

We will miss you, but you are right, you do what you have to for family and all that matters is that you will be together as a family! So enjoy your cruise and congrats to DH for the awesome new job opportunities!!!
