ahh ok...already got one with a port hole lol...i was hoping for one of the ones with the blocked verandah

I booked early enough to get the blocked verandah on deck 7. Have you ever stayed in one? i wanted to know how it is.

I know you guys are sick of hearing it, and will want to strangle me by time we get on the cruise, but I am so THRILLED that DH and I were able to get nonstop flights for $79 a person each way!

(I had to book it myself though.)

That's awesome. I didn't do so badly, but not nearly as good as that! I'm happy that you got such a great deal as it surely makes the trip a heck of a lot easier on the old pocketbook!

I really hope this hurricane season is mild and doesn't destroy any of our destinations, not just for our sake, but for the sake of the people who live there as well. I'm sure they are just recovering from 2005 and they surely don't need another whack!

no this is my first cruise so ive never stayed in any cabin. im just alittle nervous being in a room of any sort without a window that OPENS but im thankfull that i at least HAVE a "window"....

getting closer! school starts for us in about 2 weeks...that brings us that much closer to the cruise!!!!

Has anyone ordered a basket from Shirley, esp. for a kid? If so what was in it, and do you know if she puts lanyards, and trading pins in?

Yes we have ordered baskets from Shirley for our DD. You ask them to put in whatever they like. I'm not sure about lanyards but I know if you have the pins you can send them to her and she will put them in the basket for you. Shirley is absolutely wonderful and makes terrific baskets. In DD's basket last year we had candy, water bottles, pirate accessories, tattoos, etc. I know you will not be disappointed with the basket. We will be calling her again for this cruise too! She usually only needs a couple weeks notice. Good Luck!

Boy, I really hate that this hurricane Dean is about to rip into two of the islands we are supposed to visit this November. I can imagine that if it does the damage they say it is going to, Grand Cayman and Cozumel won't be in very good shape when we get there. I hate hurricanes!!

I hope that it spares the poor people of those islands who have to deal with this stuff year in and year out. Go away Dean!

My hearts breaking for the people on the islands. In 2005 we weren't able to make it to Cozumel because of all the damage from that hurricane and were deverted to Costa Maya instead. We went to Cozumel last year and it was looking good but there was still so much that had to be done. It would be horrible if they have to start all over again. Hopefully it will change it's path and head out to sea.

Hello everyone, please add us to the list of fellow travelers. This will be our 2nd disney cruise and "excited" doesn't even begin to describe it. Our party consists of Me(34), DH(37), DD(17), DD(13), DS(7) and my parents (50's). We're flying in the day before and staying at the Radisson. Hope to meet lots of wonderful people and to come home with tons of great memories!

It's 75 days out, and I can't book excursions etc. I get an error message saying I'm not paid in full (I am), or my birthdate info is incomplete, (it is not).

Has anyone else had this issue?

Yes, I got the same message last night at 12:15 and left a scathing message on the Travel Agent's machine. Maybe it is a Disney error instead.

Oh iwbm... you stayed up so late only to get an error message. That stinks!

I forgot my cruise paperwork in my office on Friday, so I can't even try to log on til I get there later today. I didn't really want anything that's popular, so I'll be okay with the late check in!

Hi Disneymagic4me! It will be fun meeting you on board! It's not too far away now is it?? My daughter is 7 too, so if your son isn't too opposed to girls, they could meet in the kids club!

I also rec'd an error message; it even shut down all my windows, but I continued to try and was able to book Palo for dinner on Monday night at 9pm. At 12:11 am they only had ressies for 1 or 2 ppl available for that time on that night, Pirate Night and Friday night. There were no brunch times available. It sounds like your best bet will be at embarkation. Hopefully this makes you feel better. I didn't book any excursions through Disney.

This morning I can't get in because it says the account is being serviced. I called DCL and they were NO help. The only thing she told me was to wait 20 minutes and try again. I am going to be SO ticked if I can't get what I want now.

I am so rip snortin' mad right now. I am on hold with DCL, meanwhile still attempting to get into DCL.com.

We couldn't make reservations at the 90 day mark since DH and I were away. I logged on and made reservations as soon as we returned ( 3 days after our 90 day mark) and we got an 8pm reservation for Palo for Key West day , but no brunch.

I stayed up until 3am EST to try for Brunch again, but nothing. I'm getting an error this morning also.
