I wanted to do the Pirate Scavenger Hunt in Key West but I am worried about how DS (1 1/2) will be....DS9 has always been pirate crazy and I thought he'd like it. Anyone heard any reviews about it?

In Grand Caymen and Cozumel we're doing beach days, not sure if to book through Disney or venture off on our own. Anyone have any tips on doing the beach on your own? That scares me a bit

We did Seven Mile Beach in Grand Caymen on our own 2 years ago and it was fine. There will be lots of taxis waiting for you at the port and you just tell them where you want to go and negotiate on the price of the taxi fare and then they take you. When you get there just make sure there are going to be taxis there to take you back to the port. It was a very enjoyable day and no problems at all. I don't mind doing a beach day on our own but I don't feel comfortable doing actual excursions that aren't affiliated with Disney, because the ship will leave without you.

i THINK that it was castaway cay(sp?) we saw this one at but im not 100% sure...i need to take another look. all I know is when DH saw that he was all over it!

I just looked at the Disney Cruise website and the dune buggies are in Cozumel.

I am not sure how to break this, but I just got a letter from Galaxsea Cruises reminding me that the final payment is due on 7/20 and at the bottom it stated that Margaret Kerry will not be sailing with us? Did anyone else get it?? I don't want to be the bearer of bad tidings, but that's what it says. I hope no one else is horribly disappointed. I am a wee bit disappointed, but I guess overall, I'll still have a wonderful Disney cruise right!

I have a question for anyone that has applied for and received your passports!

How long did it take from the time you applied to the time you received them? We applied July 9th ( I Know it's late but to get everyone together at the same time) and now I am kicking myself in the butt for not paying the fee to expedite.

So anyone? Am I out of luck?

In response to your question about how long it took to get our passports - we took our DD around the second week in March and we just received it about two weeks ago. We took our DS two weeks later in March and still have not received it. Looks like it is taking over three months to get them. DH and I already have ours fortunately. Maybe the crunch is over with processing them and it won't take as long now.

Yes, I understand about the whole "cool" pirate thing, my DD is 10 and is saying the same thing, her old costume is too small anyway.

Mr. iwbm is being a sport and is dressing up in a "Hook" costume. I think it has a lot to do with hooks and swords.

Me too!! That was my first thought and I hope everything is okay with her.

There was a sentence that read, if you would like to cancel the cruise because of her not sailing with us, to do so by the 20th. I was like NO WAY. We're going!
