We can try to bring a bottle of local wine.

TJGorman - We all booked for our Diving. DW is diving in both St. Maarten and St. Thomas and I am snorkeling in St. Thomas.

We did the Rasul on our last DCL. We couldn't get the mud off! We scrubbed and scrubbed, rinsed and our towels still turned brown! We've got a couples massage that I'm looking forward to (I'm hoping to be able to convince them to put us in one of the new "Spa Suites" for it ;)

Booze, hmmm. Well we're taking on two 6-packs of wine from my cousin's winery (family discount and much cheaper even after paying corkage!) Plus we've got "orders" from various family members left behind on what we're going to purchase in the islands; Jamisons Irish Whiskey and Tortuga Rum so far.

We leave in just 77.5hrs! WAHHOOO!

Lisa,
That is too funny, I quess we will have to bring a bar of soap with us. I really don't want to explain to my parent why Hubby and I are covered in mud. :rolleyes1

Did they tell you what movies were playing? :confused3

Here is a list of most of the movies... She was going through them pretty fast, so I couldn't get them all down. Chicken Little, Finding Nemo, Herbie Fully Loaded, Ice Princess, Incredibles, Ladder 49, National Treasure, Pacifier, Winnie the Pooh, Sky High, Valiant (sp?), Dark Water, Flight Plan and Shark Boy and Lava Girl.

If you have a wine tasting party... count us in. I have a bottle of wine from a local winery that I can bring.

Speaking of soap, I was looking over my box of goodies from various hotels trying to decide which shampoos and soaps to bring when it occured to me  "Don't they provide toiletries like hotels do?" They do, don't they? Of course if DW and I partake in this Rasul experience, well then maybe I'll bring a backup bottle. Just in case :rolleyes1

DW and friends were just at the local winery last week! I'm sure she could manage to go back again

Man I love eBags!!! Two more boxes arrived today just as they predicted!!! :goodvibes Of course this means I actually have to *pack* and not just stare at all this luggage! :teeth: Entering my last week at work...somehow I don't think a lot is going to get done! :rotfl: I think I'll setup my out of office notification to say:
"Hi, I'm not here, I'm in the Caribbean and you're not. Call Cheri, she might be
around. But if you really need me, curse my name and slip the schedule!"

Uggg, afraid office will not let me go. HELP!

Is anyone else feeling stressed about being gone from work for a week? I have been killing myself trying to get everything covered so I can leave my job for a week without coming back to a giant mess. I suppose once I am onboard the ship with my drink of the day in hand, it will all be worth it. Still haven't packed, but I have set a lot of stuff out so I can pack this weekend. Going tomorrow (assuming I can sneak away from the office for 30 minutes) to get my new dress for formal night altered. Just doesn't seem to be enough time to get everything done. I usually take off work on Wednesday mornings to play tennis, but I have been working so much overtime the last month, that just hasn't happened. Work seems to be cutting into my social life way too much these days. :earseek: 10 more days and counting down!!!

Joanne :teeth:

I know what you mean about getting away from work. My challenge is that I work from home . . .LOL . . .and I own the company . . mean boss . . .LOL

Gave the boys their list of what they need to accomplish for school by the time we leave. My youngest son, age 8 was so excited he finished all of his grammar yesterday . . .:cool1:

My dh is leaving this morning for an emergency trip to Seattle to see his aging mom. She has been in the hospital for a couple weeks and is not recovering. We're praying this is a good time for his family to pull together and be with her. The good news is that he gets to start his vacation a week early :) This leaves me to get everything ready for our cruise while he's gone. I am definately going to need this vacation!!!!

Well off to the airport . . .

Joanne :teeth:

I manage a grocery store and it is the week before Thanksgiving. :earseek:
I am locking the doors at 3pm Thursday and heading to the airport. They WILL survive without me.:goodvibes

It looks like we have some people that are busy and really need a vacation.

Theresa - Your DH's mother is in our prayers hoping that gets better.

I have a lot of last minute things that need to wrapped up. I have been working on a project for over a year now and the customers are still changing the spec. My boss hopes he can stall them a week and will not have to tell them that I am gone for a week. I also coach High School swimming and I will have to make a meet lineup for a swim meet that I will be missing. Along with writing practices for the High School team and another team I coach. I think I am doing way too many things.

However, once we get on the boat, hopefully ALL those worries will go away and we can all enjoy the cruise.

JJbescher-

DH and I are signed up to dive in St. Martin and DH is signed up to dive in St. Thomas. I can't wait to meet you and your DW!

I am quite busy catching up from being away on a work trip last week and preparing to leave in a week! I am bringing my computer with me in case I need to e-mail anything to work. It should be OK though. I don't need to close the books until we get back from the cruise. That will be a stressful week, but I am not looking that far ahead!

HI all!

I can't believe it's almost here! DH got a break from his chemo and is going to be really healthy this time for the trip. We are even going to snorkel! YEAH! Last year he was still on chemo and wasn't feeling 100% but had fun anyways.

qofhearts - Welcome to our cruise meet thread. If you have not found it yet, there is information about the meet and other things at post #358. The direct link to it is in my signature. Glad to hear your DH will be healthy for the cruise.

Thanks for the info about the cruise documents. That is nice to not have to worry about....
BUT I am majorly freaking out over the whole Delta/Song predicament. Of all the airlines I chose, that would be the one that is having problems right before we leave in 8 days...So what happens if this court thing today goes through and they go on strike? If our flights are cancelled I am sure they will give us our money back? My problem is that most of our tickets are reward tickets, so we would be in big trouble. One of our flights is on Song (we are stopping in Las Vegas for Thanksgiving with family first). Are they starting to cut flights from them NOW?

We are way too west to drive as well, and I am getting worried. I hope all stays clear for another 2-3 weeks....

Michelle2, Contact Delta and find out who their codeshare partners are. A lot of times when airlines go through restructure/bankruptcy etc their partners will "pick-up" the slack. I know that Northwest Airlines is one of their partners so you could also call and see if they have any contingency practices set into place.

I would be happy to contribute a bottle of wine (or 2) for the tasting party! I will be bringing my own corkscrew (can't seem to get the sommilier to the stateroom w/his) so we can enjoy some in our cabin. Where should we have it? We only have a porthole cabin, no verandah or I would offer ours.

Lisa

Just wanted to let you guys know that Disney has an interdenominational church service on Sunday morning, and a Sabbath service on Friday evening. We went to the church service on our last Disney cruise, and it was very enjoyable, contemporary music and good teaching. We have not seen church services on any other cruise line.

Please don't get the wrong idea about us. We won't be hitting you over the head with Bibles. We are Christians, but we love all people. We love to dance and hang out with everybody. We always meet such great people on cruises, and we usually end up staying in touch at least by email.

Looking forward to meeting all of you!
LisaRae

Is there a count of how many kids are in our group? I was going to try to get some NASA stuff to bring with me, but I wasn't sure how many kids there would be.

Thanks,
LisaRae
