I am so bad I even planned a "family" trip to WDW so I could do some official Disney shopping. Well, that and I need a Disney fix!

Hahahahaha. That's funny!! I have the shopping bug BAD!! I usually try to wait to have a reason to go shopping BUT I really don't need a reason other than just needing a fix. Of course now I have a valid excuse. If I don't get it done I'll run out of time and then what'll happen.

Well, I also over shop so I have extras to give to any kids that look like they need something entertaining, especially waiting to board the ship. Sometimes the smallest gift will cure a meltdown
So, for any of the "locals", any hotel recommendations? We have tried Hotel Galvez and Holiday Inn on the seawall and I am leaning towards Harbor House this time but

Our FE group is still holding at 7, but maybe spring breaks and summer will draw people to us, fingers crossed.

They were discussing this group on the November 25th page. Several were asking for links to this thread because the FE's were much larger and less manageable, so I think you'll see some newbies.

Has anyone ever been on the Wonder before? I wanted to know if there is only one water slide.. I did see that the ship will be docked from Sept. - Nov. to possibly undergo some renovations including an Aqua Duck.. Anyone know if that's true?

I was on the Wonder last year, but I am expecting big changes when it goes into dry dock this year. Rumor is they can't put a new water slide on unless they can add the duck tail like they did to the Magic. Right now the Wonder is the only Disney ship to fit in the old Panama Canal and until they open the new locks she may not be reimagined in a big way.

We are going to be traveling from Louisiana and it's only about a 5 hour ride and we can come a little more prepared. Lol

No new info - I am just moving it to a new page for the newcomers who don't feel like reading the whole thread.
Hopefully, all the info to follow will help answer some questions and not scare anyone away from joining the DISboards only FE group.

For those that are interested in joining the FE, here are my rules and guidelines. The last group will be closed one month before the cruise and I will then start a latecomer’s group or a pixie dust group. Each group will stop at max of 10 cabins. If someone drops before the cruise, I will not replace them in a group. If the group had hit 10, it will stay closed.

Real names are not required – it is DW(Darling Wife), DH(Darling Husband), DD(Darling Daughter) and DS(Darling Son). For anyone who wants to make personalized gifts, let me know and I will see what I can do about getting real names.

Info required to join the FE is room #, who is in the room, ages of any kids and an email to send the final list to. Optional info is any allergies and favorite characters. The only person that will have your email is me and I will delete it from my contacts once we are back from the cruise. I will not share your email address unless you request it. I will send an email to all participants in each group as it closes. I will put directions in the email, but please look at the FE info and make sure it is correct. I will have everyone email me back to assure me they have received their email and everything is correct. After that, the only email you will get from me is if there are any changes in your FE group.

There is no spending limit(spend what you are comfortable with). Gifts can be per person or per cabin, your choice. There is no set day to deliver, just have everything delivered before Thursday(Dec. 1st) night.

I will let everyone know of any room changes up to 48 hrs. before the cruise, then I will be traveling to Texas and have limited access to the internet. After that you will either have to go door to door and drop off a note of any changes or I will have a whiteboard at my room to write any messages. Be aware that since I am not going to be in every FE group, most people will have no reason to check the board at my room.

Closer to the cruise we can maybe plan an onboard meet up on day 1 for anyone interested. If anyone is interested in being in charge of starting groups for mixology classes, an ornament exchange, a postcard exchange, a recipe exchange etc… feel free as I am only doing the FE.

As always, I will try to check this thread daily so feel free to ask any questions.

So it looks like the coupon has been removed from the website. Hopefully it comes back, but I tried to help
It's back!(at noon central time) It is not as good of a deal as I thought. HEB changed the coupon from unlimited to one gift card per person.
