November 25, 2012: Mexican Riviera on the Wonder

I am working on my door magnets and wanted to let everyone know that we are bringing our elf Buddy who will have a name magnet on our door. I just didn't want anyone to be confused when dropping off our FE gifts. Buddy always stays at our house for the Christmas holiday starting the day after Thanksgiving and the kids can't wait to see if he will be able to find us on our cruise!

1 week away fellow cruisers!! Wooohoo! I plan to have everything packed by Wednesday! We also got our cabin assignments and the VGT Gods were very nice to us!

So we're one week away now! How does everyone plan on enjoying their cruise? I know last year I read three different MR trip reports and the travelers had three distinctly different experiences.

We plan on relaxing a lot in the room and on the verandah, spending a lot of time dining and doing drink tastings, watching movies and meeting characters.

How is everyone else planning to enjoy?

Same here! This our first cruise and first time on DCL. We will be doing the same as you but also relaxing and trying to catch some some poolside. DS's will most likely be in the kids area. Looking forward to some r&r! ;-)

We plan to visit the Jacuzzi, movies and gym. Mostly, we plan to relax and play it by ear : ) We do plan to learn to cook a traditional Mexican dish in Puerto Vallarta. And we have also booked the fok dancing excursion in Cabo.

For those that have not been on a Disney Cruise before don't miss the evening shows. On our first Disney Wonder cruise back in 1994 and every cruise since then the shows are exceptional - They are as good as a New York Broadway show - We seen Beauty and the Beast on Broadway and on DCL the Cruise line did a awesome job better then Broadway. Also don't forget about the fireworks at the pirates party - DCL is the only cruise line that has a permit to set fireworks off there ships.

I plan on mixing it up. Looking forward to the shows and movies with be kids. Really looking forward to Palo with hubby. I am going to spend some time by the Quiet Cove pool while kids are in the club and relaxing with adult beverages.

I'm also going to be hitting up the slide with my kids!!!

I guess I'm just going to be doing everything.

I always make a copy if each passport, 2 major credit cards (front and back), and license.

Just a reminder. If you lose any if those items, the copies could really help you.

So excited to see Daniel and Fiona. One of my high school friends had her first Disney Cruise last week on The Wonder and LOVED it!!! I cruised on Carnival a couple of weeks ago and so hated it. Didn't see one show! Anyway, I'll be checking this thread all week and hope we can meet up with some of you next week!!!

Lalaric: Will you be joining us for the "ornament" white elephant exchange? It's planned for either Monday or Tuesday when other major activities don't conflict.

Also,those who can, plan a small meet and greet at the Promenade Lounge at 3 pm on boarding day. The ornament exchange date/time will be announced at this time.

Sorry I dropped the two boys - So in Cabin 2079 you have 6 passenagers
Twp Adults - Sarah & Trevor -Two boys DJ (11) Luke (8) and two girls Hannah (8) Liberty (5) This is now updated on the S/S - I will bring printed copies of the sheet to the meet and greet on Sunday at 3pm in the Promenade Lounge - It's a very good tool when delivering FE's
