While I think you should have realized earlier that it was your birthday, I suppose we can add it now :lmao:

I booked 2 excursions this morning.
Cozumel we are doing the Adventure Park (8:45 a.m.) and Costa Maya we are doing the Segway and Beach tour(noon).:thumbsup2

Just going to wander on our own at Grand Caymen.

On CC we always rent bikes but you dont need a reservation in advance for that. Sometimes Greg snorkels there too, weather permitting.

Anybody else doing these excursions??
I am hoping someone else here will be joining us.:banana:

Good morning everyone,

Boy this is a quiet thread.:confused3

Many of the threads I have posted on, when they were this close to the cruise were posting 15 to 20 pages a day!!:cool1: You couldnt keep up with them.

Not that i expect that many here but I am wondering where everyone is at?

Time to get excited and start talking excursions, ships activities, things we are looking forward to the most etc...::yes::::yes::::yes::

I will be back soon and i hope to see a post or two.:thumbsup2

I am very excited about this trip, but I am very busy right up to the cruise. I just back from vacation and am still trying to catch up with work.

I have a friend coming into town, then I am away for the weekend, then a Swim meet I am coaching at, then maybe a break for a weekend, then away again, then the WDW, then cruise.

Good morning!
One of the things that Iam looking forward to is the FOOD, i LOVE the DCL food, cabanas, paninis, pizza and in the MDR, and this time i will order the cake of the day, I didnt do it last time :( ...Iam a huge cake lover!
Of course I am also excited about everything in the cruise as well, activities, port adventures, I have read that the x-mas decorations will be up!
:) :) :)

So great to see 2 posts already!!

Jon ,
Most people do have to work and have family activities to do, I have been there, done that.:goodvibes That can also be a lot of fun.
I am just trying to get a few more people to post here to get aquianted. As busy as you are time will fly by for the cruise to get here.

I dont work anymore (outside the home) so I have all day to play on the computer if I want. Not many have that luxury.

Sabrina,
Do you like the dessert buffet they have late one night? I assume they are still having it on this ship too. I wish they would let people go in ahead of time to take photos fo all the desserts before they cut into them. They are really spectacular:cloud9:
My DH loves the late night snacks they put out by one of the clubs around 11 or 11:30 P.M.. He eats his weight in fruit on the cruise too.:lmao:

Great hearing from both of you!!

I am definitely in cruise mode. I can not wait for the food and everything else. I do not know when I am going to pack. Luckily for me it takes about 10 minutes to pack. Just need to find bathing suits, some dress clothes, which I do not wear everyday and I am good to go.

I am on a computer all day, so I am able to reply quickly.

I am also looking forward to seeing the new Fantasyland Updates in person. All the pictures and reports I have seen look AWESOME.

jon

I have one space in the closet for my cruise clothes. That makes its easier to pack for me too. 10 to 15 minutes and i am good to go.:thumbsup2

Howver I did discover a problem the other day that I have to remedy before I can pack.

Some how while my cruise clothes were waiting for the next crusie they seem to have shrank?:rolleyes1
It must be the humidity here in Florida during the summer because I had to give them all away to a charity because they don't fit anymore:confused3

It's one of those myseries of life and I may never know what caused them to shrink.:rotfl2:

So next week I need to go clothes shopping for clothes to wear to dinner and shorts.

It was awesome!! In a couple weeks we will go back and be there at opening so we can do a couple of the attractions there before they get lined up and hopefully more of it will be open by then.

I can't wait to go back again,

Kathy

Time to get my dogs out and do breakfast dishes.
I will be back in an hour or so,

Have a Magical day everyone.:goodvibes

Who is doing excursions and which ones are you doing??

I have never seen the dessert buffet before! I really have to check that out, ever since I was a kid I would always eat dessert before lunch or dinner (It opens my appetite!!!) I just looove desserts and especially chocolate! Where would this snack area ussually be?

My family and I are doing the dophins at Costa Maya, we are probably going to Xel-ha park at Cozumel and we are on our own at Grand Cayman, we paid for the day pass at Westin. Although not sure if it was worth it because of short port time there :confused3

At Castaway Cay we will just spend the whole day at the beach :)
I live in a cold weather so I will be taking advantage of the sun and warm weather alot :) I used to live in Costa Rica so I know that summer is December to March, do you know if it is the same for Mexico and Caribbean?

Thanks!

Dolphin encounter in Grand Cayman with the turtle farm afterwards. Would love to do the swim, but I can not miss the opportunity of seeing my DD3 with the Dolphins.

Cozumel - nothing at this point.

Costa Maya - hanging out at Tropicante

Castaway Cay - hanging out at the beach

If I am not mistaken the Dessert buffet happens on Pirate Night around 11:00 on the same deck as Cabanas. Someone will tell me if I am wrong.

jon

Actually I believe the "dessert buffet" has been eliminated. It was one of those things we never made it to in the past and now it is gone. They still do the pirate buffet on pirate night and they have desserts bit it is not all desserts.

For excursions we have:
Grand Cayman - Nautilus semi sub followed by some shopping/Margaritaville
Costa Maya - Tropicante
Cozumel - The Cozumel Amazing Race
CC - just beach time

As far as it being a quiet thread that is just the way some meet groups are. I have been involved with very busy ones and very quiet ones. They each have their own personality. One isn't better than the other and there is no need to try to force it.

I thought it was held on a different night - but I'm more interested in the savory treats than the sweet ones . . . and have only made it once to the dessert buffet pirate:

Rebecca,
Sorry I wasn't trying to force anything. Just trying to find some nice people to get aquainted with which is hard to do if they don't post much. Meeting people from the threads are a big highlight for me. :goodvibes

Sorry to hear they may have cancelled the Dessert buffet. It was so great to look inside the restaurant door and see dozens of fancy looking desserts all lined up for everyone to try. Guess I will have to find out for sure if it's been cancelled. They had it on the Magic last year on our cruise.

It sounds like everyone has some fun excursions planned on the islands.:thumbsup2

We did a semi sub in St. Thomas once and it was fun. I'm sure you'll like it.

Kathy

well I guess I'll just have to explore better this time! I didn't even know there was a pirate buffet, last time after the pirate party I took my DD to bed and I fell asleep too :)
