It wasnt open today but they had menu's to look at and I heard a cast member tell a guest that the restaurant is 3 different sections but we only got to see one section.
Maybe by November it might open up. I will keep watching and let you know if I see it open up.
The entrance closest to that restaurant is right behind the Carousel, not by the train station entrance.

Thank you so much Kathy! If anything I might leave the MK trip till after the cruise, I will probably take my DD to MK twice, one trip so we can see the new Fantasyland, and the second for the Christmas Party! And of course to take advantage of the whole park, my daughter loves going on everything!

Oh and thank you for the link of the port canaveral webcam, my mom and I watched it yesterday we are so excited for this cruise, its our second! Our first cruise was on March on the Dream, we celebrated my dad's birthday, now we will be celebrating my mom's birthday

I think by the time our cruise is over everything in Fantasyland should be open because the official opening is Dec 6th and in the past they have a soft opening well before the official one to work out the kinks in the new attractions before the official opening.

We will be back before the cruise. MK is my favorite park and we go there most sundays because its never that crowded. So I can keep you posted on the progress.
We are going to the Christmas Party on 12/7, I can't wait!!

Re: Christmas stockings for FEs. We sailed with a group many years ago that did just that. At least on the Magic if you have the kind of stocking that has a kind of foldover top it slipped right over the fish. It worked great. I would guess it would work on the Fantasy as well.

I really like the idea of using Christmas stockings as FE's.... Has anyone done this? If so, how did you hang them? I'm wondering if we could use the 3M hooks that attach/detach easily? Any advice/tips/tricks are much appreciated

The official rule from Disney is NO adhesives of any kind. Room hosts are suppose to keep an eye on that. I have seen many Christmas stocking for FE's in the past and they are really cute all decorated.

Most Christmas stockings have a small loop at the top.
I have seen decorative ribbon strung through the loop and hung over the fish that way, also colorful braided cords run through the loop. A large zip tie could also work. If your stocking doesnt have a loop you could probably find a remant of felt to make your own loop to sew on it by hand.

Thats how I have seen then hanging on past cruises.

I am actually going with Carolina DD 2 years, Ricardo DS 6 years and Manuel DH, in another cabin is going my DH Brother with his wife. For them is the First Disney Cruise, so they started pretty High end!!! (Ricardo, Carmen) They have no clue about all the details I am waiting for them to get their cabin number for the FE, that I also sew for them, they have no clue at all!!! We will have everything ready for them to do. What a luck!!!

Here are a few photos I promised from the new Fantasy land.

This is a character meet -n- greet building.

This sitting area is in front of the Meet -n- greet area and as you can see the snacks are in circus wagons. To the left where you cant see are a couple more snack places in circus wagons, The tables are mostly under trees and there is a circus themed fast pass area there too with picnic tables and a water fountain,

This is part of the water park area. Water comes from all the animals there in circus wagons. Plenty of room for kids to run and play there, plus bathrooms are right next door and the train station.

I didnt get a photo of the gift shop located in this area but it is a circus tent and as you enter look up to the ceiling over the snack bar and they have trapeze and rings up there , also a tight rope near the entrance. So look up because all the details of the circus are there. Plus much of the merchandise is stting in what looks like circus wagons. Its really an awesome gift shop.

Now to get ot the rest of the few things that are open early you must go to the Carousel behind the castle for the entrance.
This is what you will see.

This is the entrance to The little Mermaid attraction.

This is The Beauty & The Beast , Be our guest restaurant entrance.

You walk past this beautiful waterfall on the way to Gaston's Tavern

This is very small inside and sells beverages and a few snacks,

This is the eating area inside the tavern. Its really small. If you go out the backdoor there are restrooms which are hard to find from the walkway. They are hidden from public eyes unles your right there.

This is the walkway heading to Gaston's restaurant.

There are lights on the bridge to the Be Our Guest restaurant which are all held up by Gargoyals. (SP?)

There are 2 of these creatures holding up the archway as you enter the restaurant.

These knights line the entrance ot one of the 3 dining areas. We wernt allowed to go into them.

This is the dining room we got to see. It was dark but its so beautiful you feel like your really in a castle to dine, it even smells of being old in a good way. This photo really doesnt do it justice. It really sparkles when you see it.

Glad you guys liked the photos. Who knows I may get to Harry Potter before this cruise too. Just been waiting for the weather to cool off some.

Still 90 each day but at least the humidity is gone for the most part. hopefully it will cool off some soon. Then we can spend more time in the parks.

Finally got caught up. That is what happens when you do not touch a computer starting Wednesday Afternoon - Monday.

We will be leaving Tuesday afternoon and staying at Saratoga Springs. We will be doing Blizzard Beach(I think that is the one open) and the doing MK, DHS on Thursday. Do not have plans for Friday, other than heading to port are to stay with Tigger-too Friday night. Will most likely go to AK.

Thanks Janice for the hard work on the FE list. I will print extra copies for anybody that does not have them. I will be at the Meet and Greet.

Need to get through a couple more weekends and then I will be in cruise mode.
