oh cool!!! which parks are u doing? i think we are gonna try animal kingdom thurs.. not sure fri maybe Universal for Harry potter-land.

thats really exciting!! we should try to meet.

I'm going against every fiber of my being and NOT planning out every aspect of this trip. We won't fly in to Orlando until lunch time on Thursday and we're not planning on doing anything before leaving for Port Canaveral on Saturday. Basically, we have a day and a half. So, the only things we are planning on doing is Osborne Family Festival of Lights on Thursday and the Candlelit Processional on Friday. So, right now, the plan is HS on Thursday and Epcot on Friday... But I'm thinking I HAVE to get in some DTD and MK time. I may do DTD Thursday night after DHS and then do MK prior to heading to Epcot for my Christmas Around the World trek!

I havn't been yet, although I am 20 minutes away from there, how ever my son who works for Universal says it's AWESOME!! He says all the small details they did in theming the entire area is perfect.
He felt anyone who liked the books or movies would be impressed with it. He hasnt heard a complaint yet from guests he chats with. I guess the costumes are valuable enough the employees cant take them home like the other uniforms people wear who work there. They are afraid of theft.

We hope to get over there before this crusie. We have been waiting for the weather to cool off some so we can really enjoy ourselves. if we do I iwll post my opinion, but I dont think you will be disappointed from what I have heard.

we did both read the books, and my daughter while not super into reading the book, does like the movies and the idea of HP.
im just too lazy to trek there with a 1.5yo... but we will.

It can be tough with little ones. Be sure and ask at each attraction if they have child swap since your 1.5 may be too young for many rides.
That really helps so the little one can play rather than having to stand in line all the time.
If you dont know how it works,let me know and I will explain it to you. It makes life a whole lot easier at a theme park.

I've got to love a husband who jumps right in to the meet and greet and fish extender program, joins up and then tells me we need to make all this stuff. LOL Someone is a little excited to go on a cruise

We don't have our room assigned yet (vgty) and am hoping we will get one eventually! I've got a few ideas for gifts already, but I'm trying to navigate through the disboards about 'limits' and how much, how little to give.
Do you give individualized gifts to each family member, or one family gift? Do we spread it out over the days or give our gifts all in one shot?
Please be patient with my questions...I tried hard to skim over the 50 pages here...really I did!

For all the FE's i have done you can give 1 gift per room or something special for the kids and then something separate for adults, just what ever you want to do is right. You will deliver your gift anytime during the cruise but usually people have it done by afternoon the last day on the ship due to people packing their FE's that evening. You can deliver all or part of yours in one day. Its up to you how many you deliver at a time.
There really isn't any wrong way to do it.
Just have fun with it. You will be given a FE list of rooms to deliver to soon.

We dont have our room numbers yet either. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks. Its always fun to look up and see where you are going to be on the ship.
Please ask all the questions you want.
Someone will answer you.

We all have questions. This is DCL #22 crusie for us and since I have never done the Fantasy I have had lots of questions I had to find out answers to.

thanks yes i do know some places do it. im totally ok not goin on some rides i think for HP theres 1 major ride to do. we just took him to DL for the first time. (we live right by legoland too. like a spit away..)

is anyone interested in meeting at the terminal? it might be tough but i just remember having like 2 hrs to kill.
