November 24, 2012 ~ Western Fantasy ~ Pachyderms of the Caribbean

Kind of like a secret Santa to keep with the holiday spirit.

I agree!! It is best when you can drop them off without being seen - or you are surprised by things in your FE when you get back to your room!! We have also enjoyed several drop-offs where we have heard giggling out in the hall!! :cheer2:

Please include us in the FE program too! This is our first cruise and I'm not really sure about all the details, but we know we want to participate.
Lorie (40), Richard (42), Olivia (5)

Please let me know if you need more info!

Welcome Aboard!!
Do you have a stateroom number yet?

I know they changed the onboard booking rules. I think you can only reserve the same number of staterooms you have on the current cruise with the discount.

We booked this cruise on our last one but changed the dates once we got home. A few weeks ago I sent our travel agent this very question, we wanted to book a couple of cabins for a future cruse while we were on this one. Here is what they had to say as of May 23, 2012:

Glad you asked. As it stands now, you are permitted to book 2 rooms with the onboard offer. A third room may be booked but will not have the discount, only the shipboard credit. I advise you to take a look at our website here to get a feel for how the prices on each date compare. This way you have your decision made as to the date prior to the cruise. According to Disney's new rule, if you change your mind on the date after the cruise, you reduce your shipboard credit.

To help time pass a little faster, I am going to start a question of the week for our group!!!:yay:

:confused3

This weeks question is:

For those who have cruised on DCL before and participated in the FE exchange, what are some of the best FE gifts you have received?
:banana::banana::banana::banana:

We received magnets, picture frames, pirate items, white board, candy, lots of candy, and more candy. pirate:

Candy is ALWAYS good!!

Just a reminder to everyone involved in our FE - we do have a nut allergy so please make sure all items are "nut free"!! Thanks!!

That is ALWAYS a good thing to remember even if we do not know about the Nut allergy.

BTW, DW just got herself a new sewing/embroidery machine. So hopefully we will have homemade a FE holder. We think we know what we are going to do, but still figuring out some things, especially for the kids.

Only 5 months till we head down to Disney for a few days before the cruise.:dance3:

Who else needs this vacation?

jon

Sadly, Lori and I have to pull out of this cruise. We moved it to the beginning of Feb.
We truely hope you PACHYDERMS have a fantastic cruise!!!!

My family will also be coming:

BrutusBru (Connecticut) Janna, DH Will, DS Matthew (4) (Stateroom: GTY)

I will pick a question that everyone can answer . . .

How about. . . what is your favorite Disney Character? :confused3

These are ours:
Janice - Jiminy Cricket
Linda - Dopey

i love this question -- we're slightly non-traditional in our disney likes & have a few tied for first place :) hope that is ok?

for us, our choices are:

alicia: maleficent, evil queen & the red queen
carlo: darkwing duck & jedi mickey

sorry we haven't been on here much lately. still recuperating from surgery & some rather nasty post-operative syndromes i have developed :(

we fly over on 23rd, so for us, we're just under 5 mths... i'm sure this last 5 months will go by so quickly :)

still have so much money to save up for all of our spending money/souvenirs etc. so glad we've paid the cruise off in full though :)

Got to say I've always been a Tigger kind of guy.

Hope they give you some good old American turkey on your flight over. Got to start your trip off right!

omg, turkey tastes so much better in the usa that it does over here.

also, cannot wait to try some new foods like gumbo and jambalaya while we're over there... after the cruise of course, not sure if they serve those on board :)

holding out hope that we can score a remy reservation but as first time cruisers, most of the ressies will probably be gone by our date (10 september).

Log on the first minute you can (I think the newbie window is 75 days) - check Remi first and if you get a ressie, save it!! If you go through picking all of your ressies and then save at the end, you might miss the window.

If that doesn't work, find out where to go as soon as you get onboard (we might be able to find out from some "recent cruisers" closer to our sail date) and go straight there BEFORE you go to lunch. If they don't have an opening, they will put you on the waitlist. [oh. . . after your family is announced, a CM will approach you to see if you have been on DCL before and drop a few hints to you, you can ask them where to go to try to get a Remy ressie]

Good luck!!

As you can guess, I am a Tigger fan (although I really, really like Belle, but that's another story!!!):cool1:
My DW loves Winnie the Pooh:yay:

Mine is Pumbaa
DW don't really know, too many
DD - Dumbo (Loves Elephants)

All of our animals are named after Disney Characters.

Our family has done personalized t-shirts with our names and a favorite character on boarding day for all of our cruises. I figured the kids would have outgrown them now but they still like picking them out and wearing them although I have not asked them about this cruise. The characters have changed over time but the last two cruises we have had.

Me: Dory from Finding Nemo, Dug from Up!
DH: Mushu from Mulan, Dr. Doofenschmirtz from Phineas and Ferb
DS: Simba and Perry the Platypus from Phineas and Ferb
DD: Minnie and Rapunzel
