November 21, 2012: Giving Thanks(giving) for a DREAM come true!

I think you guys are right and I'll just suck it up and get passports. The first kid has one already so it's just the other two. And I need to renew mine and maybe my husband's.

CHA CHING!
:rotfl2:

I hear ya. I hate spending the money, but I know I would kick myself if we ended up having to fly home for some reason and couldn't do so without a lengthy trip to the US Embassy. And now that we'll have passports, we can maybe do a non-US Adventures by Disney vacation in the near future. (Do you guys like the way I think?)

I had to Google the (expletive) out of this. I finally learned that if you logged in before midnight, you'll need to log out and then log back in. It should let you book after that. I had to click a couple of things before it let me in, so maybe that wasn't the case -- maybe their clock was just off a bit? Long story short, I finally got in and grabbed brunch at Palo for our At Sea day. We have a 10:30 seating. Let me know if any of you will be there then!

It is still saying 91 days til my cruise!!!! nooooooooo

Hey Nikkistevej-

Their website is a total nightmare. I don't know how a company as huge as Disney can have such a buggy website.

I did manage to book but I have no idea how. It wouldn't let me but then I clicked on the Castaway Club logo at the top and then I have no idea why but it sent me to a page somehow that then showed each day and allowed me to click on Adult Dining and book. I booked a Palo brunch and a Palo dinner.

But then, when I tried to go back and check (I wrote stuff down first, thank God!) I couldn't access it again.

Have you had any further luck? Anyone else been able to book anything?

no still trying. i am so upset right now!!!!

I found what I clicked: Go to Planning Center in the menu bar on top (upper right) and select "My Cruise Activities". I hope that works for you!

Hey! I booked that day and brunch also but I booked the 12 noon time slot. My Dh is a late sleeper when he can so I figured I could always have a light snack to tide me over. How is the dress for that?

I also booked Palo dinner at 8:30 the next night.

I was surprised it didn't ask me for a card to pay. Hope it went through. Wish I had a confirmation number.

Ok I redid it.

Logged in, entered email and password.
then entered reservation number and birthdate,
then hovered over the yellow planning center box
and clicked on the drop down menu where it said My Cruise activities.

see if that works.

Finally got it, but need to do double jet ski- it won't let me- i will call tomorrow. Thanks all!!! Got Palo brunch on the sea day at 10:30, Atlantis Aquaventure at 9:15 in Bahamas, and jet skis at 10 on CC. :)

That's great! Maybe we'll see you walking in for brunch as we're walking out. I'll have to search the DIS about the brunch dress code. This is going to be my 5th DCL cruise and the only time I've ever succeeded in grabbing a brunch reservation, so I have no idea! I'm thinking sundress with a sweater for me and khakis/polo shirt for my husband, but that might be on the casual side. I don't think it would be quite as formal as dinner, but I could be wrong.

IIRC, the charge, gratuity, and alcohol were all paid for at the end of the meal. We used our stateroom key and it was added to our folio.

Got it, thanks!

What about checking in? I have that not available at this point.

We will be coming from the Disney parks and going to Port Canaveral. I wonder what time I should be expecting to check in?

So glad it worked out for you NikkiSteve!
I know how frustrated you were because the dining reservations were a NIGHTMARE for me!

Thanks I was sooo ticked!!! Finally i did the planning center thing and it worked!!! Thank goodness!!

Leeann, I haven't figured out how to do check-in yet, so I think I'll tackle that in the morning. I'm meeting a friend for a run in 6.5 hours, so maybe if I log in right before I leave, that will buy their computer system enough time to realize we are at 90 days out, darn it!

I read online just now that check in begins at 2 am. Why make it easy?

Since I am at the mercy of disney transport and when the bus arrives at the port, I'm just gonna sit back on that one. I've got two great hubby-only meals planned, awesome park days and a 4 nite cruise.

Life is SWWEEEEETTT, isn't it? :cool1:

Have a good night's sleep, all, and congrats!

Thanks for the update about the check-in time. That was going to drive me nuts! Sorry it was so frustrating tonight, but I'm glad we were able to be here for each other -- it really helped knowing I wasn't alone. Good night!
