Hi, is November “Christmassy” enough at Disney. Travelling from Uk and want to avoid thanksgiving and December travel is impossible. So dates we are thinking are 13 to 27th Nov 2024.

Thanks very much, any advice welcome and appreciated 😃

Christmas decorations go up in early November but most of the Christmas offerings don’t start til after thanksgiving

We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge and Grand Floridian the week before Thanksgiving in 2022. The parks looked great but none of the lobby’s (AKL, GF and Wilderness Lodge) had been decorated yet. We were disappointed and learned our lesson.

Typically all Resort decorations are all up by Thanksgiving Day. Dates vary by resort each year. You can check out THIS THREAD from last year, and you can see when decorations went up at each individual Resort.

The Parks themselves start converting over to Christmas decorations on November 1. They slowly go up from there, starting with Magic Kingdom.

Christmas Party dates typically start in early November.

I hope you enjoy it!

Edited: saw it’s 2024

Thanksgiving is on November 23 this year, so you should definitely get to experience the Christmas Magic! I hope you enjoy it!
Thank you, that is really helpful !

If you're thinking of 13th to 27th, you are not avoiding Thanksgiving...you will be there on Thanksgiving which can be a pretty busy week.

Oops sorry....you said 2024...Thanksgiving 28th of Nov but it should still be pretty crowded while you are there.

I would go right after Thanksgiving if you don’t want to be there during it as at Epcot the holiday storytellers and Candlelight Processional do not begin until usually Black Friday.

In 2022 I went November 13 - 19; the Christmas party started the week before I arrived, I believe. Trees and decorations were definitely up in all 4 parks.

We stayed at the Poly and on the 18th, a tree appeared overnight in the lobby and several wreaths were up around the resort! It was magical.

There were also multiple decorated trees in Disney Springs. The only thing not happening yet was the festival of the holidays in Epcot; that week was the last week of food and wine fest.

We wanted to take our two high schoolers in early Nov and check out the monorail resort trees and decorations. Seems like we may be too early to see that but will be able to see the parks decorated. We can't go later as basketball practice will have started.
