I wouldn’t describe it as ‘huge’ Riviera has been outselling VGF a couple of months now, likely due to the cheaper price at Riviera, after all they still have a huge number of points to sell there - around 3.3 million which at current rates will take another 42 months to sell out. In mid November they introduced price cuts on the VGF, likely because they want to get it sold out before Poly 2 goes on sale, so they want to shift demand from Riviera to VGF, we’ll see if that works in the next couple of months.WOW! Look at that RIV vs VGF sales... that's huge!
It is and has been that way now for 4 months. That is why the last round of incentives have made VGF cheaper than RIV. It shows that VGF is just overpriced and not something people are interested in right now.WOW! Look at that RIV vs VGF sales... that's huge!
In the ten years before the COVID-19 pandemic, the month of November averaged the fewest Disney Vacation Club points sold during the year.
Or it simply shows that people will lean towards what is cheapest. Pricing has always been a very big factor and can be even more so dependent on how the guides are angling their sales pitches. It is and has been that way now for 4 months. Wasn't VGF cheaper than RIV for almost half the month?Or it simply shows that people will lean towards what is cheapest. Pricing has always been a very big factor and can be even more so dependent on how the guides are angling their sales pitches.

There is always a delay between when incentives hit and sales are completed with the recording of deeds, approx 2 weeks. So, December sales will be better indication if the Incentives had any effect on VGF numbers.Wasn't VGF cheaper than RIV for almost half the month?
Yup. "Buy where you want to stay" is a mantra of the message boards and the old guard, but random family watching a sales pitch isn't buying where they want to stay. They're buying into the portfolio and not caring what their home resort is so much (as long as it isn't Aulani).Or it simply shows that people will lean towards what is cheapest.
