November 2017, can I surprise my husband as well?!?

Hi everyone! My name is Sam. I have 2 lovely daughters DD6 & DD3. My DH and I are planning a trip for Nov 3 - Nov. 10 2017. We are planning on surprising the girls (this will be their second trip.) I however want to surprise my husband with our resort We are currently planning on staying at Pop Century, but I would love to surprise him by staying at the Contemporary. We are very budget conscious but we each take out an "allowance" weekly and I am putting a portion of mine away and so far I should be able to afford the upgrade if I continue without spending my allowance on anything major between now and next October! My plan is to tell him once we arrive at WDW that I have to make sure the resort address is correct

I will continue to update as I make changes and add details!

well its time for my first update! My preferred method of saving money for a Disney vacation is Disney Gift cards so I have been purchasing them here and there when given the chance. I have my own business where I do earn tips and normally all of my tips go into a 'fun bucket' as a family we decided that we can also have a Disney bucket to put some of my tips into as well. The kids don't know about that but my husband does and I think it will throw him off the if I slip up saying putting money aside for Disney at any point!!

Wow! It will be fun for you to plan a surprise trip for your girls and then even a bigger surprise for your hubby! Great idea of using the savings jar as a way to cover any slips you have around your hubby.

Even if you do not make your goal to switch to the Contemporary, you may have enough to switch to one of the moderates if you choose. It might be a nice option. I have stayed at three of the four moderates and enjoyed them all. With the ages of your daughters, they may enjoy swimming in one of moderate pools and using the slides there. CBR has great splash, watering features too and zero entry that both your girls would enjoy.
