November 2015....The countdown begins!!

So bummed to find out that TL is closed all of November. This is my first time getting water park passes and now I'm worrying it was a waste
Our family prefers Blizzard Beach, so it wouldn't be a big deal to us. TL is great, but we really end up spending most of our waterpark time at Blizzard Beach. We're skipping the water parks and more pass this trip though. I would think it'd be worth it for one park and the DisneyQuest passes. It'll be chillier than summer, so not as crowded :)

I I got them form various websites....did you find? Sorry I didn't see this until now. So is anyone looking at the first week of November? I've been looking at the suggested parks and for those that assign an overall daily crowd number, I did an avg. so I used undercover tourist, easy WDW and touring plans. Dates 11/1-8.
The average for each day is as follows:
11/1. 5
11/2. 5
11/3. 4
11/4. 3
11/5. 4
11/6. 4.6
11/7. 6.3
11/8. 6.3

It feels like touring plans low balls and easy WDW high balls it. If you all know of another site that offers a numerical value for the day please tell me and I will redo! I am having. Lot of trouble reconciling the various park day recommendations as some are so different form one another.

We will be down 11/1 until 11/7. We are a group of 6 adults and 2 kids who will be on the dining plan, staying at Saratoga Springs. So far this is my plan:

11/1 - fly into MCO. Check in, relax at resort, dinner at Chef Mickey
11/2 - EPCOT for food and wine fest
11/3 - Hollywood Studios. Breakfast at Hollywood and Vine
11/4 - pool/DTD day. Dinner at Trails End
11/5 - Magic Kingdom. Dinner at Be Our Guest
11/6 - Animal Kingdom. Dinner at 1900 Park Fare
11/7 - O'Hana breakfast before flying out

Looks good! My plan before dates came out was...or still is for now until I can redo some things...
Arrive 10/30 late, go to bed
10/31 resort, rest, MNSSHP
11/1 AK
11/2 ep future world, resort meal
11/3 free day....ending with kids club babysitting and trader SAMs
11/4 MK early entry, pirates league
11/5 EP world showcase
11/6 HS with dinner at AKL
11/7 MK, family magic tour, CRT. Dinner
11/8 we take the DME at 2:30 so we will go to a park either this morning or Tuesday, they can be switched around
If we don't do a park maybe a character meal..undecided.

Bt most of my days are all wrong according to easywdw lol

Very true. I loved disneyquest so that's a main reason we're getting the pass. I do love the parks so much and wasn't planning on spending much time at the water parks. At least it's still a new experience!

Last year about a month before, Disney changed the MK hours to open every day at either 7 or 8 for the week of Thanksgiving... I'm trying to keep that in the back of my mind as I make my plans. Also, the current calendar (at least the one I saw) has no night parade or fireworks at MK the week of Thanksgiving. That can't possibly be correct, right?! I was hoping to take my son on the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage on Black Friday; can't do that w/o fireworks! :P

Just got this today, with November dates. No real % off. But, thought I'd share in case it hasn't been posted before. Nice to see our dates in a mailing, even if it means nothing. PS: we are already booked and under my husband's name..the name the mail was addressed to :)

Alright, just mapped out my itinerary for the week; or at least the "Which park we'll be at on which day" part of it. I still need to fill in the blanks for restaurants between now and May.

What did you end up with? I am mid re-do now. I am really hoping for free dining so paying lots of attention to the food for now! If we don't get FD will just do fewer TS .

Sure, I guess there's no harm in that. As aforementioned, this is literally the "first draft", so there's a lot of blanks to fill.

I'll put it in spoiler tags so it doesn't clutter the thread.

We'll be there the same days! I'll share my plan when I get something more firm (just a lot of pages of notes now) :)

Step two of the schedule is done: Dining choices. Obviously we can't make reservations yet, but I've made general choices of where I want to eat on which day, except for our last day, which is a "makeup/miscellaneous" day. I'll probably pick out a Magic Kingdom Table Restaurant just to have a reservation though.

Next step is to decide what we want to do on our off day, then to go through and tighten things up.

I'm torn about whether I want to utilize EMH or avoid them. We were in Disney during Easter week and at MK for morning EMH, which was 7am. I'm kind of looking forward to getting 2 extra hours of sleep in November! We are DVC and go every other year, but we haven't been during a "slower" time in almost 2 years. It should be nice to slow down and really enjoy being there with my inlaws, some of which haven't been since EPCOT opened!

On our last two trips I was very much a "arrive at park open, leave at park close" kind of guy, but as I get older I've slowly gotten out of that mindset.

I am torn right now with prioritizing low crowd levels or varying days we do each park. For example our last day I wanted to do MK with a CRT dinner to celebrate. However it is the Saturday of food and wine marathon and other activities, easywdw says the only park to go to is am, and touring plans lists Saturday as an 8. We have three MK days in total....do we choose sentimentality and just deal? Maybe leaving in the afternoon and returning..or do we end on the slightly more practical ak? My husband and I are torn since we have never been there during an "8" day

What's most important to you when picking days? Crowd level, sentimentality, spreading parks out so you don't do, say three days ina row at one....ADR availability only, or other/none?

In November, the differences between parks is pretty low as far as crowd goes. So, we chose based on what parks/rides we want to do 1st, 2nd, etc...and then spreading parks out. We still end up at Epcot most days at some point :) We typically don't do meals that have hard to get ADRs, just because we're not fans of BOG and my kiddos don't care about eating at the Castle.

We'll be there 11/25-12/3 now. Here is our initial plan for the November days, let me know if you see any glaring errors :)

Wednesday 11/25 land at 12:35, MK by 3:30, CS dinner, back to hotel (Contemporary) by 8pm **MK has EMH evening that night so it's not ideal but the kids will go bonkers if we don't go to a park that first afternoon. We'll have some FP+ for Adventureland

Thursday 11/26 Thanksgiving Epcot at rope drop-Future world, back to hotel for swimming after lunch, monorail to Ohana for dinner

Friday 11/27 MK, trying to get 8AM BBB, full day at MK, early dinner at 1900 Park Fare, fireworks (?)

Saturday 11/28 AK, late start, arrive by 10, early dinner at Yak and Yeti

Sunday 11/29 MK at rope drop, hotel for swimming after lunch, dinner at monorail hotel

Monday 11/30 Epcot at rope drop future world until 11 then worlds all day, dinner at Biergarten

Looks great, I think you have a good plan for thanksgiving too, though I've never been. Just form what I read!

:thumbsup2 We've never been during thanksgiving either but from what I've read, staying out of the parks in the afternoon/evening seems like a good idea!

I'm doing a mother/daughter trip the week before Thanksgiving. Just printed out the EasyWDW crowd calendar and I plan to spend the evening making some plans. I'm still undecided on the length of the trip, though. I keep flipping back and forth between 7 or 8 days.
