November 2015....The countdown begins!!

I get to do ADR's 2 weeks from today! Woohoo!!! So happy that both my ADR day and FP day are Sundays so I don't have to worry about work! Worked out great this year! 193 days to go!!!!
So happy mine in on the weekend too, I don't know how I would get my daughter to school....uh yes, my daughter will not be there on time because I am on the phone with disney.....lol

Our ADR day is on a Saturday & the day before my birthday - I keep joking it's the perfect birthday present if I can get everything I'm hoping for! :thumbsup2

Do we try at 6 or 7 am? Or is this a midnight thing?

Sorry I'm answering this kind of late, but if you have a Disney Visa you have to call and you can start at 7a.m. That's supposedly tomorrow but remember, as of now it's still just a rumor ;) It's still 7a.m. when it becomes a GP offer and I'm not sure if you can book FD online, but if you go over to the restaurant board and read the loooooooong FD 2015 thread under the Disney dining plan sub forum, I'm sure the answer is in there somewhere!

You don't need visa, I got online at 6 and got a new reservation with free dining. However you are required to choose park hoppers or water parks and more, so my cost actually went up. Time to crunch some numbers I didn't want or need park hoppers :( and if we decide it still makes financial sense I have to redo my entire touring plan. What a bummer.

In wish the RO discount announced this morning would have been through November! I guess we'll probably have to wait until August for that offer announcement.

I got Free Dining!!! I had to add Hoppers, which I didn't really want, but I'll take 9 days of food for $320!! I'm so excited! WOO HOO!!!:cheer2::woohoo::dance3::jumping1:

I worked so hard to get my days set wiht no hopers, now I feel confused lol. I'd hate to have it and not utilize it....might redo,

So I guess we are going to pass on free dining and hope for a RO discount. We don't want to give up our LK suite at AoA, since my parents are staying in a LM room... and we also never park hop, so it seems foolish to pay for a ticket option we won't use, plus we would have to upgrade the dining plan to eat at TS restaurants. :( We have my Dream Rewards $$ from my disney Visa anyway, which will cover a good portion of our food expenses.

So I'm kind of bummed about the changes they made to free dining, but keeping the faith that a RO offer will come up! And apparently my 9.5 month old is very excited as this is the book he chose from my shelf in the office today... 201 days, 21 days until ADR day!!! :mickeyjum

That's so cute!! I love when my 3yr old grabs my Disney books. Makes me feel validated in spending so much time/money planning! :rolleyes1

We are also upgrading to the TS plan. In the end it totally isn't "free" for us, but it IS a pretty substantial savings. If my math is correct (I'm still waiting for my updated confirmation/pricing from my TA) my total cost probably went up a little less than $1500. But I booked at last year's prices, so that is about a $200 increase. I didn't have Hoppers, so that's another $350ish, and we will upgrade to the TS plan (we are staying at ASMu), so that's another $700. I'm kind of looking at it like I just got Park Hoppers (which my teens will love, and my husband & I will probably use on date night at least) & the DDP for less than $1500 for 9 days. That's not really that bad, and only a little more than it would cost me to pay OOP at even just one TS meal per day.

For my family (to compare) the DDP would have cost us $2356 if we'd paid outright for it.

My SIL has 3 Disney adults in her room. For them to add the Hoppers it was about $200; they now have the QS Dining Plan & Hoppers for their 9 night trip for $200. That's an awesome deal!!!

That sounds good! That hopper adds 260 for us that was beyond our pretty strict budget. I THINK we will still do it but I am not positive. We will be getting about $1600 of food if I get all of our ADRs for the upgrade/hopper price of $640. I don't think we would be happy with only CS meals for ten days and I know we will do one or two character meals, as we might not get back for three years after this. So by the time we spend that money I think I am lookng at a difference of $200 or so. Basically the hoppers lol.

It's a bummer I was all proud of getting the disney visa in time (doh) getting the rewards form that visa (just over 300 but it helps) and free dining being my big savings but it's still a decent deal. Let's see what my husband has it say tonight.

I do think we will cut our family magic tour down form all four of us to just two or three, and maybe cut a few other costs. I think in the end, during the trip, we will regret not doing the meals if we don't. So now what the heck to do with these hoppers....lol

I know this is a tad evil but I am selfishly excited there is no free dining during my week. We're already dealing with Jersey Week crowds which is enough for me! This time next week my ADRs will be done!

Booked yesterday for Nov. 14-21 at CBR in a Pirate Room. pirate: Scored free dining, too, thankfully!! I have two teen/tween sons who eat their weights at each meal. I know you guys can relate! Now just waiting for that ADR window...

We officially booked our 10/31-11/6 trip staying at CSR with free dining! Two new firsts on this trip with staying in the fall during F&W and also staying at CSR!

Cannot Wait!

11/10-11/13 at POP! Can. Not. Wait.:jumping1:
Scored free dining at the resort we wanted for the room category we wanted as well, so it's a win-win-win!
Super excited and so are the kiddos!

I just found out that 11/6 is the first night of Osbourne Lights which I've never done and really wanted to do this trip. Looks like I'll be switching my AK and DHS days and ADR plans!

I love that!
That makes total sense, when you show the numbers like that! I might still talk to my family and see if they have any interest in adding hoppers to try and get the free dining. Although I'm sure at this point, the resort selection would be very limited. I'm pretty sure there is no availability at AoA at this point, so we would definitely need to switch resorts. Hmm, lots to think about. :scratchin

:darth: haha, just kidding, not evil at all! I like your thinking, that is something I would say!

Osbourne Lights are awesome!! We saw them in 2010 and not since, so we are so excited to see them again. We haven't said really anything about them to my parents or my MIL, so we are hoping they will be totally in awe, not knowing anything about them beforehand. :tink:

You HAVE to see them! Most amazing thing I've seen. We have to see them every trip! Enjoy...and make sure you video record it!!!
