November 2015....The countdown begins!!

Great Planning! What is Kings Dominion? I was considering Bush Gardens in Williamsburg VA but I'm on the fence with this choice. I don't like thrill rides...and not sure what else they have to offer. I don't expect it to be a mini-Disney. Do you have any insight? And...what is the World?

Kings Dominion is a theme park in Richmond, VA. It is an hour closer to my brother than Busch Gardens. They also have a waterpark that opens in May personally I think Busch Gardens and Williamsburg are awesome. Lots to do in a long weekend!

World = Disney

After passing Kings Dominion on 4 or 5 trips down to Va. Beach, we finally went there in 2010 and really enjoyed it! Of course it's not Disney lol but of all the other theme parks I've been to, I think it's my favorite. Busch Gardens was fun, I'm fairly certain it's smaller than Kings Dominion. I thought both were very clean.....friendly staff................if you can't be in Disney either one is a good 2nd

We took the plunge and just ordered a 5 day ticket for each of us through UT. I then ordered a 10 Day PH NE ticket for my youngest, since he's the only one without. So maybe next year we'll start dipping into those.

Counting down the days till November gets here!!!!!

I'm on the Oct thread because the 29th is our first day there but most of our stay is in Nov so here I am. We've got the Board Walk ressie and half of our flights booked, we need an AP for the two of us and a return flight but it's real now.

Officially booked for November 14-21, 2015! Staying in AoA LM room. Although we could end up changing resorts depending on special offers that come up. (Since LM rooms are usually excluded.) We'll see though. I'm really excited to check out this resort so it may be worth spending the extra money.

that's our planned dates as well, flexible with offers though. We're probably doing caribbean beach or POP. Depending on who is for sure going with us. FD would push us to a moderate for sure.

ThistleMae, in the search option on Southwest.com, I typed in "flight schedule" and the first hit that popped up said that on May 14th the schedule through January 4, 2016 will open, subject to change.

We're at the beach club villas- flight down booked on united miles, got our aps and tiw cards- just waiting on return flights, a DVC waitlist for one extra day, and wine and dine sign up!

BFF & I will be there 10/31 - 11/7. Just got bumped out of Pop in May due to a family member's request for the Poly, but I was looking forward to seeing Pop again, so we'll book it for this trip!

Hoping to hit MNSSHP, F&W, and MVMCP

We had to add an extra two days to get an MVMCP in there. Oh, the horror!

Edit: Going to spend a couple of days at Universal as well.

That's such a horrible position to be in! We've basically added days to every trip we've made. We think 5 will be enough and then, a few months before we add up to four days. haha. Last year we went to Universal only, so we're really needing a lot of time this trip

Haha, definitely sounds like us for this trip! We started off thinking five days might be nice... then a week... & now we're at 10D/9N...

Glad you mentioned Universal as we'll be spending a couple of days there as well!

Checking back in! I can't believe February is over already! Spring will be here before we know it. I try not to wish time away waiting for our Disney trip, so I'm looking forward to each "milestone" between now and then So right now I'm getting excited about Easter! Then I'll have my youngest's birthday to look forward to, then my oldest's.

I shifted our dates by a day to avoid the F&W crowd on the weekend and be able to hit the Thursday MVMCP during our trip, and we've changed resorts twice (cause this is what happens when you give me too much time to plan lol) so we're now going the 8th-13th, staying at Yacht Club. And that's our final decision...probably. I've got park plans and dining mostly nailed down, so I'm starting to get a little twitchy with nothing to plan!

I too have most of my planning done. Now I'm working on in between trips. Va in may. Canada in July. November can't come soon enough. But....may want to change dates to week after thanksgiving. Made these plans, for thanksgiving week to plan a trip with my daughter and grandkids. Now, they may not be able to go. And...we won't know for sure till May! So...if there are still rooms at poly then....and if they can't go...we will change the dates. Less crowded, at least that's what I have read. And...if we can't change dates....we go anyway. I'll catch the next trip with her. I think I need to make more plans...nov is a long ways away!

I'm waiting for the time I can book my ADR's! That will be so awesome. I'll be on a plane flying back from Virginia the night I can go online and book them. As soon as I can get WiFi and the clock strikes midnight....I'll be on my IPad! That will be amazing. I'll probably be tired from my trip but that won't stop me....LOL!

Wow, my family is going to WDW for the 1st time Nov. 14-21 and also staying at the Polynesian. I think I'm more excited than the kids. LOL.
