I wanted to let you all know that if you are flexible with pick up location then keep checking the website for location deals.
Alamo ran a special last week for cars picked up in Orlando.
I rented a standard size car from Disney Car Care Center Nov. 15-20, dropping off at MCO, used the alamo insider and the $30 Visa code AD2338FDF.
The entire rental is $112. includes free second driver and unlimited miles.
It's worth it to keep checking.

I'm not sure if they do or don't. I checked the box that said insider and the next page offered all the rates for the class of cars to choose from.
If they didn't offer it, then why do they still ask if you are an insider?

I was just able to use Alamo coupon code:

which is a costco code that offers a free upgrade. Just waiting on the rate to drop a little.

I had booked with Enterprise using a code from Nationwide Insurance, I am an employee my rate was $407.00 for a mini van. I just checked Alamo, using the Visa $30 off coupon and the Vegas Brazil code and the cost is $259.22!!!! My dates are 11/21 to 11/28, we are returning the car later in the day than we are picking up so we pay for an extra day, but with this rate I am really happy.

I thought I had just seen a drop - but it looks like the alamo system goofed ...I was quoted a "Florida Surcharge" on my first reservation, but not on the one I made this morning?? Do all of you guys have the florida surcharge? (Just wondering if it will be added 'after the fact')

I just noticed that my reservation does not include the Florida surcharge, that is kind of odd. I went in today and "booked" again and the price was the same and again no Florida surcharge. I do not get the Additional Driver included. I do notice that it does say Estimated total, I suppose when I check in I will be given a firm price. If I do have an additional driver can I do that at the Kiosk or do I actually need to go to the counter?

My res also lost surcharge. as for add. driver yes you can do a kiosk or I think even online at online check in or whatever it's called. I leave in a week and that rental is affected by changes so I can try to report on what my price was.

I just checked my Alamo reservation that I made earlier in the week...it had been $162.23 without a Florida surcharge but it has since added the surcharge taking it up to $177.14 (Nov 11-17). Happy with this as a "worst case" placeholder, but will keep on it to get any price drops. Using the AP code, was the same price as using the Costco code.

I just checked mine as well and it is now added in. So I am at $276, still a lot lower than the $407 I had with Enterprise so I am happy, even with adding an extra driver I will still be below the $407

Has anyone used priceline out of MCO in the past? I'm tempted to roll with my typical "keep my reservation, and low ball and see what Priceline comes back with" a couple of weeks before the trip.

We used priceline on our trip last September to rent a minivan out of MCO. I bid a few weeks before our trip. I got an amazingly low rate and the rental was through Hertz. It was a good experience...will probably try it again for this trip.

I bid $15 per day and it worked out to $222 all in for a mini van, 9 days.
