November 2014 PTR: It’s a Jolly Holiday with the Powells!

Just a littl bit excited! Loving your pre-trip report, it's making me very excited to go too! We will be at DL from Nov 15-23 so maybe we will run into you!

I love the Disboards, being able to come here and share in the excitement of our trips!! It's good to be able to share our utter joy and thrill and anticipation, because our everyday co-workers, friends, etc. don't necessarily get it, you know? So this is my release where I can shout, scream to the mountaintops..."I'm going to Disneyland!!"

If you see us at the parks, please say hi!

OMG! I've been doing laundry, packing (and re-packing) this weekend, digging through multiple purses and trying to figure out what I'm going to bring and what I can leave! I think that is the hardest part, is the little things or the things like "which coats should I bring"? Especially when coming from Alaska and going to a warmer climate where we won't have to have big boots, down jackets and hats & gloves!

4 more sleeps before we leave home and head into Anchorage! It's going to be so difficult to concentrate at work for the next 3.5 days for sure!!

I got my iPad back up and running-had to recover everything & re-download all of my apps, photos, etc. but at least it's ready now! I have an older version of Peter Pan on there that I look forward to watching!

Yesterday they were showing all kinds of Disney movies on the Family channel like Bug's Life, Up, Sleeping Beauty and more! How fun!

Well here's hoping this work week goes by super fast, before you know it we will be on the jet heading out!

Not at all, welcome!! Sorry for the late reply, it's been quite a last few days, working our buns off to get out of dodge! We left Nome yesterday after I worked 2.5 hours in the morning-I rushed home at 1030a to catch a 1p flight..after much back & forth about whether or not I packed the right things (and a last minute adjustment or two) we were on our way to the tiny Nome airport! Side note about that: we saw a jet fly overhead, my husband said "we missed our jet!" My heart sank, for a moment I truly believed him, because he was serious!! More on that later!!

Okay I have to preface this by saying that we've had a wonderful time so far!! I'm going to try to start from the day that we left home and got to Anchorage. Sorry if this report is a little choppy! I'm going to try to go in order! Here goes! I just figured out that I could download the Photobucket app on my phone so it should make it easier! This will be my first time using this feature from my phone so bear with me!

Ok, finally had a few quiet moments to get over here to read this. Just in case no one's answered this for you yet......yes, the kids can get in before park opening as long as you have a reservation at Minnie & Friends. You won't be using a Magic Morning for that.

Been seeing a few pics on FB but I'm going to go back & look at them since I've really only been scanning FB for the last week.

Regarding the kids getting in early-Thank you, I think I found out by asking a CM at the dining dept. I'm happy about that! we should have plenty of time with the characters since it's the first res. of the day!

I really need to get back into your TR-likewise, I've seen pics here & there on FB, but I want to see it all!!

If I can figure out how to upload my pics from my photobucket app, I will be golden!! Unfortunately what I was doing yesterday wasn't working-I was able to copy & paste into the post, but when I looked it, it wasn't showing any of the text, so I took it back out! ;( if you have any suggestions (since you are a PB guru) please feel free to give advice??

When you say app.....I'm assuming you're trying to do this from a phone or tablet?? I have only done my pictures & reports from my laptop. I wouldn't have a clue how to do it from an app.

Yes Laurie-it is from my iPhone. It appears to be easy to copy & paste, just need to remember which format to use, image or html? I will attempt to use it again! Can't sleep right now, and of course both guys are fast asleep. Minnie & Friends breakfast in a.m.!! I need some rest! Goodnight.. Zzzzzzzzz
