I use to get waxed.i don't find it odd. I have thin hair and razors never cut it. Since we are a 1 income home since we had DD2 I have had to cut back on the luxuries. If we were going to one of the water parks I would probably splurge on waxing. I do like to get a pedicure before vacation, and my hair done.

etting my hair done, a pedi but no wax here :rolleyes1 just reg razor shaving for me!

Hi everyone, I've been following this thread for a while but haven't said hello yet. Our family of 4 is taking our first Disney trip November 9-16. I'm running the W&D 1/2 marathon and we're staying at AKL. I just finished our itinerary planning and have a couple of questions:

Nov 9th - Arrival day, no parks. I need to go to the Expo to pick up my packet. Dinner at Boma at 6:15pm.

Nov 10th - Chef Mickey's at 9:35am. AK afterwards, but only to do the shows (FOTL, Flights of Wonder, Finding Nemo) - I don't want to do much walking around the day of the race. See the parade at 3:45 and then go back to get ready for the race.

Nov 11th - Sleep in and start around 11am at DHS. Again, just a couple of shows and maybe a ride or two. Sci Fi Dine-In at 12:50pm, followed by the Pixar & Pals parade. We'll have to leave shortly after that to make it to HDDR for 6:15pm.

Nov 12th - MK RD! Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. Crystal Palace ADR at 1:25pm, followed by the parade. Back to the resort to change (if we have time) then over to the Contemporary for our Pirates & Pals fireworks cruise!

Nov 13th - Epcot, hopefully by 10am (P&P will make it the 12th a very late night). Some FW rides, then Via Napoli ADR at 11:30am, followed by some more FW rides. QUESTION - is that a dumb idea? Should we cancel the ADR and just eat CS in FW somewhere instead of going so far out of our way? Le Cellier ADR at 4:40pm followed by touring the WS (really want to see Mulan, Belle/Beast, and Aladdin/Jasmine) until Illuminations.

Nov 14th - 2nd MK day. Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square. Either return to the hotel to swim/nap or try to chase characters. Might split up (DH and DS, DD and Me). CRT at 5:25pm, followed by MSEP, then Wishes (maybe skip Wishes if we are tired and have had enough fireworks!). QUESTION - Is it really dumb to spend an afternoon chasing down Ariel, Rapunzel and Merida instead of taking my 3yo DD for a nap before another late night? We are going to CRT that evening, but I know she would like to meet these three princesses who won't be at dinner.

Nov 15th - 2nd DHS day. Sign DS up for Jedi Training and do everything we haven't done yet. F! dining package at Mama Melrose at 1:20pm. Pizza Planet for dinner (depending on how hungry we are) and then F! at 6:30, Osborne Lights after that.

Nov 16th - Departure day, AK until about 1pm. Do all the rides and try to meet Pocahontas.

Does anyone have any input on my questions or thoughts in general about our plan? TIA!

Since we will be gone for two weeks I might have to rethink waxing... :scratchin I have an appointment to have a pedicure on the ship and I have never had one before... hopefully I like it!

I would never do a park on an EMH day unless I was taking advantage of EMH. By doing Epcot on a EMH morning day, but not arriving until 10, you are walking into a park that will already be crowded with the EMH folks. Not something i would want to do.

We are going the same time that you are. I used touringplans crowd predictor to pick our days and you should be fine for crowds regardless of the time you show up in the parks. As far as Nov 13 2 adrs is a lot of time in resturants. I would suggest snacking around WS while waiting to meet charactors instead of a sit down lunch. Plus dont you want to be really hunger for that vary choice Le Cellier ADR? I would want room for at least 3 courses if I was eatting there.
So for Nov 14th - if you arent already you could use a stroller for the little one. I know that mine will sleep in the stroller if they need to. It happened several times on our trip last fall and it worked out great.

Ok, I've got a question and can't seem to find a thread to ask it in... In order to qualify for FD, do I just need a set # of nights at my resort or park tickets, too?
With the Military Salute being revamped & offered during my dates, I'd still need a 1 day ticket to go with the 4day Military. I haven't figured out if it's better to take the 4day Military tickets & 30% off my room, buy a 1day ticket & lose dining, OR keep what I have, OR what...

I know, I had thought of that but it was the only day we could get a Le Cellier ADR. If I switched the MK day on the 12th with the Epcot day on the 13th, I'd be worried about not having enough MK time and then about having 2 MK days in a row? The EasyWDW calendar says crowds will only be a 4 overall, and even lists Epcot as a Green day, and has MK as Red. I can't switch it for our big DHS day because Fantasmic! is not showing on the 13th and it's one of our big to-dos.

For free dining you need to book a package for at least 3 nights I believe.
I hope this helps at least some. :goodvibes

To get FD, you need to be staying at least 3 nights. You also need to check availability at the different resorts- several have sold out of their allotted number of rooms available for FD. It goes without saying that your checkin date must fall within the FD dates. Finally, each person on the reservation must purchase a minimum 2 day MYW ticket with the package (you can save these tickets for a later visit, though- they won't expire until you start using them).

You really need to do the math to see if FD is a good deal for you.

Is it insane that instead of planning my daily itinerary for this trip (Nov 2012) I'm busy researching where I want to stay and dates for my next trip (Dec 2013) and I haven't even been there yet?!?!:rotfl2:

Just the answer I was looking for, thank you!

:lmao::lmao: You're asking this group??? Of course it's not insane!!!:lmao:

Hi everyone, I've been following this thread for a while but haven't said hello yet.

Welcome to our humble thread! Your itinerary sounds well thought out and lots of fun. Hope you have a wonderful time!:goodvibes

Wow the thread became really busy while I went away to Busch Gardens for the evening :)

How was Busch Gardens? Did you have fun?

We always have fun ;) we go about once or twice a week. If we go twice we normally go to Water Country one day.

:lmao::lmao: You're asking this group??? Of course it's not insane!!!:lmao:

Yeah, I only like to ask questions when I know I'll like the answer!!:rotfl2:

Okay my next bounceback offer question: I'm still new to Disney math, tell me if this makes sense. If I get a Room Discount % off I should go with a Deluxe but if I get Free Dining I should go with a Moderate? There will be one adult and one child travelling. I just want to have it all in place so that I can book this when I get the offer on this trip. I am an uber planner!:rotfl:

I'm just glad I didn't pay the trip off in full. We could have been in a bad place. His school ate up most of our savings.

I thought if you didn't cancel by the 11 they either cancelled you or charged you a penalty?

I kind of hope they offer a room discount in January. I will gladly use it at a Deluxe, and use restaurant.com gift certs. It can take just as long to eat in Disney as it is to go to Irlo Bronson to get a meal. Just eat CS meals for lunch. we shall see what happens. I would like to see the holiday lights.

Can you tell me more about restaurant.com certificates to use at WDW?
