Hi everyone. I just found this thread and would love to join. Our family consists of me my husband, daughter and son. We will be at POFQ Saturday Nov. 24-30. I can't wait. I was actually waiting for free dining and want the kids to see WDW decorated for the holidays. I booked all our ADR before we even booked the trip and added the confirmation numbers to the vacation package.

Here is our agenda

Nov 24 - Saturday Arrive around 10 am, take ME to POFQ and go to EPCOT. ADR - Garden Grille at 6:30 pm.

Nov 25 - Sunday Magic Kingdom at rope drop. ADR - 1900 Park Fare at 6:10 pm.

Nov 26 - Monday Hollywood Studios. ADR - Fantasmic! package at H&V 3:35 pm.

Nov 27 - Tuesday Animal Kingdom. ADR - Tusker House at 11:15 am. Maybe DTD in the evening.

Nov 28 - Wednesday - Magic Kingdom. ADR - Chrystal Palace, this is for me because I LOVE Pooh at 6:10 pm.

Nov 29 - Thursday - Haven't decided what park. Any ideas? I am thinking HS again. ADR - Captains Grille 5:25 pm

Nov 30 - Friday - Eat a late breakfast either in DTD or POR. Go home.

Do you know what time it starts to get dark in November? I am from Buffalo and it's usually 4:30 pm but we have a lot of cloud cover.

I'm getting bummed out! We JUST decided to go Nov 2 through Nov 8 and we just finalized which park which day...and I can't find any dining reservations! I don't have the dining plan so not committed to eating in the parks all the time but I can't find any of the "fun" places I've read about: Ohana, Chef Mickey's, Sci Fi, on any day we're there much less on the one I've planned it on.

I posted on the dining thread for tips but my Disney excitement has waned in only four days! What are some other "late planners" doing for dining? I didn't even get the dining plan....how are you finding meal after meal?

How big is your group? how committed are you to eating certain meals there? Like for instance are you looking under a certain time or just 'dinner' you should go at off times like have a dinner at 4 or 8 not 5 or 6 KWIM? Chef Mickeys fills up fast! So does Ohana. Dont give up. Try 2 or 3x a day and dont give up!!!!! that is the key! People do cancel. there is also a november cancellation thread under dining reservations on the dining board. YOu can look to see whats being cancelled and try to get it...its not garaunteed though but worth a try! I got a 8:05 ADR for Crystal Palace for 9 ppl and Im stoked!

Sci-fi-depending on your party size should be easy to get we will help!

So I've been trying to groups of 4 and no luck either.

Sat-Rest Day-Can do any resort character meal, any meal period. I just got a Chef Mickey at 11:20am!

Sun-Universal...nothing needed but a late back at hotel type thing might work

Mon-Hollywood

Tue-MK (would love the Terrace dessert)

Wed-Rest (might pick up Epcot but DH may not let me!)

Thur-Travel home

Of course all of this really is still flexible until I start booking these oh so hard to get ADRs!

PS We've been before but it's been 5 years, seems as if dining has exploded. We've done CP, 1900 and Askurhus

I agree. My mom and I were trying to find a certain ADR for months and finally found it after looking every single day. You just got to do that!

there still some stuff out there. do you have ur parks planned? dont worry this group is great with making plans..then plans for those plans and then changes to those ones

I got Sci-fi on monday to come up for 4 at 810 and 820 maybe do 4 at 810 and 4 at 820!

So while looking for cvirtue's sci-fi ressie I just happened to check 11/26(our DHS) and I have a 755 for a group of 5 and 6 but low and behold a group of 11 ressie for 810! YAY! More time at the lights!!! but i CANT GET IT TO COME UP lol SO I called and they said its in there so I checked my email and its blank

Sooo we added another night.. that makes 3 added nights from our original plans! We were checking into AOA LM on the 23rd so we could get free dining.. now we are checking into a off-site hotel on the 20th! It will be late so no park & prob straight to bed, but that means a full day on the 21st & 22nd! Then hop over to AOA on Friday! SO EXCITED!! Ok got that out of my system... Of course that means paying oop for meals those 2 days, but no biggie. Our dates are now Nov 20th - 28th! Now all we have left to buy are our MVMCP tickets for the 27th.. oh yeah & save some spending money!!

Take a deep breath and keep trying. You'll be surprised how things are constantly changing. Especially with us.

This is how I finally got our Ohana reservation. Checking everyday several times a day.

Too Funny I took the crowd level suggestions off of easywdw.com. I have the unofficial guide to wdw being transfered from another library. Can you believe out of the 12 in our county 9 are out on loan?

Has anyone been to the Yaht Club? Is is within walking distance to the Board Walk and Fantasia Mini Golf? Or, should we take a bus to the other one (the name escapes me)?

We much prefer the WinterSummerland mini golf, but they both are great.

I bet you will. When Disney excitement sets in.....it has a mind of its own.

That is so adorable!!! I would tell her that you've only thought of subject topics for conversation that the actual conversation will be up to them. I still have my DD3.5 on board, at least once a day she says, "Mommy, let's talk Disney."

Even though this will be our 5th time going...I've never looked into a Bounceback offer! Is the offer generally the same discount you are then receiving, ie. if you are there during FD, is FD then offered for the bounce back? Any info would be great, kind of touched upon the subject with DH last night just to test the waters!! He didn't cringe, so that's always a good sign!! haha

Have you tried 50s Prime Time at HS? Some other good choices to try (in the MK area) would be Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL, Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern. As others have said, if you keep trying, especially at the 45 day mark when some cancel their trips before final payment, something may come available. Good luck to you and try not to let it ruin your excitement. You're going to Disney!!!!

I so agree with the ADR's, you do need to keep checking back several times a day if possible as things do open up as people finalize and change their minds on different places. I know its frustrating but try to not let the disney magic be dimmed by disappointment. THere are many people here that can help with planning and they are awesome! I have learned so much. Tip is never be satisfied and never give up!!

Any more news on BOG? What is the latest with ADR's??

Just so I can fit in we added a day as well. We were already going to be coming down on Sunday the 11th but were going to stay offsite and start our 5 day passes on Monday, but MK has EMH Sunday night so we added a day to our AoA stay and an extra day to our passes. Only added $55 total for 2. Wishes the first night will make us very happy.

The dining site was down for a while yesterday. (I was hoping it was down because they were adding BOG. No such luck though. ) So maybe there was a glitch somewhere. Do you have your reservation #? If you do all should be good.
