I KNOW this has been asked a thousand and 1 times BUT I cant find it.... are the Fantasmic seats worth doing the package OR not standing in a line to wait? I am still considering giving up the MM package to fit in BOG. I need to go look over the menu for BOG to see if I like it. I only found maybe 2 things we would eat but I know its the 'new restaurant' thing AND my dad is a HUGE fan of B&tB! I cant handle alot of red sauce so MM is not for me but not sure if everyone will appreciate the standing in line thing LOL
I have read that F! is a nice show and Id like to see it if we can but that being said, we arent usually stand and watch parade type ppl... if it passes in front of us, we will watch for a few minutes though

We're doing the F! package @ Hollywood & Vine (3:30 dinner which is actually a late lunch) specifically because my kids will not stand in line for up to an hour, and I really want to see F! I think it will be a nice break for everyone to sit down with a snack and watch the show, then go back into the park to enjoy our magic hours. This is my first trip so I have no real been-there-done-that advice.

My biggest thing is the F! package. I want the seat! LOL I dont know if I want to stand in line:confused3 and not get in :scared: I mean it IS doable thats the reason I chose MM. I cant have too much red sauce because of my Interstitial Cystitis.:crazy2: I thought I was done with these crazy descisions!!!! ACK! Our MVMCP night would be ideal because then we could already be IN MK ..:upsidedow good point. I guess Friday is our back up but the park closes at 7 so id want the 650 ressie

I loved MM last time we ate there. I liked that the F! meal is a prefix (sp), so it was more than enough food. I felt that it was worth the F! package as well. We only waited maybe 30 minutes in line for the show. The seats are off to the right (if your facing the stage), so it is worthwhile to get there semi-early, so you can be more center right.

Are you going to the MVMCP on the 9th? We are going that night. I am so excited!!

Hope everyone has a good day!!

The poster who said a second show would help is so spot on! We've done F! both ways, a dining package and just walking in. We got better seats walking in. People will begin lining up an hour or more before the performance, but you don't need to get into that line. Wait until they start letting people in and you can no longer see people queued up for it. Then walk in and find your seats. The worst that can happen is you are seated in the same general seating area for package reservations, but on the opposite side. I love Fantasmic. I've seen it 3 or 4 times. We don't bother every time we visit Disney, but I always tell people to catch it if they've never seen it. I don't think you can have a really "bad" seat. There's lots of action all over the water area. But of course closest to the middle is the best as usual, but not closest to the front. I think you get a better view of things farther back and it also makes the exodus easier! I know you've been torn about this for a while and I feel your pain. My take is to ditch the MM plan and take your chances on walking in. You will need to walk in about 1/2 hour before performance, but you'll be sitting down and someone can let the kids run around until closer to time for performance. If crowd level is really heavy, you'll have to judge when would be a good time. Last year we walked in and walked right back out b/c we didnt like where the seats that were left were located. We went back for the 2nd show and got great seats with just getting there 1/2 hour before it started. Sorry this is so long!:crazy2:

I saw this tip on another website that said to get quick service meal or turkey leg something easy to eat and take it to the bleachers about an hour before fantasmic. Sit and eat while you wait for the show.

If we are scheduled to check in on a Friday and I go to the resort early that morning to get tickets to be at magic kingdom by rope drop. I know there is basically no chance a room will be ready but will the dining plan be available for use? or do we have to wait until we actually check in for that. Also what time should I plan to be at the resort (pop) to be able to get tickets and then bus to MK in time for rope drop?

Yep if you check in, your room may not be ready but you can use your tickets/dining credits right away!

So now I also booked lunch at the Sci-Fi Dine-In. If there is a second Fantasmic! show the night we are there (which I am REALLY hoping for since we are going on a night with Extra Magic Hours) then I will drop the F! package at Hollywood & Vine. Ugggghhh ADRs are taking over my life! :crazy2:

This is a good tip and they have QS available right in the venue.

Here's something else you can do. Ask a CM near there when they will actually be letting people into the theater. Once they drop the rope and the line start actually moving, it's easier to move along with the crowd and not just stand there. They move everyone along pretty well, so it's relatively painless.

So I just tried to call Dis Resv. and CM told me that the system was down and they cannot access any reservations. I'm confused. Why is it that I can go online and see my reservation? I asked the CM and he told me that the live system is down and to call back in 2 hrs. Anyone else experiencing this issue?:furious:

Does anyone know of a better way of getting thru to a CM on the phone than the regular telephone prompts? It seems to take me forever to press this/that and then they never get my name correct, so that takes a few different tries until FINALLY I'm transferred to a real person! Anyone know of a "magic" way of bypassing all of this and go directly to a CM? Just trying to shorten my time for Thurs morning. 4am is early and very easy to make button mistakes!!

On another topic...anyone been to Kona for breakfast? Opinions?

Not sure if it works on Disney's lines, but when all else fails hit ZERO. That often takes you to a real person. :rotfl:

Just booked our trip with Free Dining!! :woohoo: Staying at All Star Movies with DS18 and DS17 (Husband doesn't have the Disney DNA ;)) Nov.24th - Dec. 1st!!:cool1: Sooooo excited I could wet myself! :lmao:

Has anyone been to the Spirit of Aloha Show? It's one of 2 reservations (the other being Coral Reef) that my family joining us in Disney asked that we make. I keep looking over the menu and thinking it isn't worth 2 dining credits and that my picky eater of a husband won't enjoy it (he's a total meat & potato guy). I'm also not sure my girls will want to sit through the whole show.

It's kind of late in the game to find an alternate dining plan for the 5 of us, but I'm considering it. Any insight?

We did it for the first time last summer. Only our DD(7) wasn't a fan of the show - but she loved the food!

Not sure exactly when you're going, but there's a good chance they'll do two Fantasmics a night. Go to the later one, it's usually super quiet. It was when we went last year we literally sat in the center even showing up at the last minute and had amazing views! So far the TA calendar is showing Fantasmic every night so that should cut down on crowds. I'd definitely see it if you haven't and if it's at a slow time, it should be no waiting really.

well we are sticking with the package because I am a chicken LOL

:scared: mine too! But I think I got it now. I did change our Candlelight processional package but we are doing lunch(late) then the 5pm show and then CR dinner. I am too chicken to schedule a CR CLP dinner....they run soooo behind sometimes :crazy2:

:scared: sorry you are having problems...

LMAO!!!! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: that made my day! :thumbsup2

That's my worry. My girls are 6, 3 & 1 -- I don't think they'll enjoy it as much as the adults.

I would switch it to 1900PF esp if they love princesses!

So I need some suggestions for eating on Thanksgiving day... We will be at Animal Kingdom that day w/no park hoppers & paying oop(our dinning plan doesn't start till fri)..So should we eat somewhere in AK, DTD, or off-site?:crazy2:
