starting to make my packing list

as summer comes to close most of the stuff i can already pack.

what are any suggestions as to what i should i bring other than the obvious stuff.

I've just been waiting for someone to do this. I'm on board.

I am so excited because we got free dining!!!! We just had to upgrade from standard to garden view at POR. Thanks to all of you on this thread, I saw it was being offered today!

I must resist changing anything on my ressie. No split stays, No extra days, I have to be strong and resist!!!! You guys make it awful tough to stick to a plan!!

Isn't that the truth.

On the upside, my skin seemed much healthier after it all was done. Like an extreme chemical peel!

Duh! Totally misread what you meant! I thought you were going in November and also next spring. But from what you just posted, you're right, they are really being crazy going back and forth. I guess it pays to just randomly check things no matter what info is currently out there. So glad you got everything you wanted!

Smileybug, You must be miserable! Are you in pain? I got severe sunburn many years ago and missed several days of work because I literally could not put clothes on. I had to sleep on my stomach in the floor b/c I couldn't lay on a soft surface. I was in pain whenever I moved. It was on the back of my legs and my back. And all I did was lay out at the swimming place for a couple of hours on an overcast day in Ohio! If you are in pain, I found sitting on the edge of the tub and having my husband pour vinegar over the burn helped a lot. Yeah, I stunk up the joint, but it helped.

I have tried apple cider vinegar. I'm not sure if it really helped or if it was just the coolness of it. I have been taking alot of cool baths.

I got my free dining. I had to switch from LM to pop but I'm still kind of disappointed. I made my original reservations before the ticket price increase. with this promotion I had to pay the new ticket prices and it ended up being roughly $200 more than it should have been. I was on the phone over an hour trying to convince them otherwise and finally I gave up because I didn't want to lose out on the free dining. did this happen to anybody else?

Awwww, I bet the pink one is really cute.

So glad I got all my dining reservations done a few weeks ago. I tried to get Le Cellier at lunch for weeks, but because of the CP there was zero availability in the weeks we're going. Finally got one at 1:20pm (not ideal but hey) and there was one other spot that day and I checked again today and I couldn't find a single Le Cellier for lunch from 11:30-1:30 from 11/27-12/9 :O

The reservations are going fast. I have been working on mine. I think the only chance of getting a decent time at Ohanas is waiting until BOG opens.

Travel Dates: September 30 – December 13, 2012.

Walt Disney World has announced a new round of the Disney Free Dining discount, this time for Disney VISA cardholders only for the travel dates listed above. Not all nights are included however, you must check in on one of the following available dates:

September 30 – October 4, 2012
October 19 – November 1, 2012
November 9 – 15, 2012
November 23 – 29, 2012
December 10 – 13, 2012
Please note that in order to qualify for the free dining offer, your must check in during one of the available dates above. Your stay can extend outside of the available dates, you will still receive the free dining for your entire stay. Availability is extremely limited, and not all resorts may be available. You cannot check in before an available date and receive the discount, it is all or nothing, and it all depends on the day you check in.

Guests staying at a Disney World Value resort will receive the Quick Service Dining Plan for free. Guests will be able to upgrade to either the Disney Dining plan or the Deluxe Disney Dining plan by paying the price difference. The Walt Disney World value resorts include All-Star Sports, All-Star Music, All-Star Movies, Pop Century and Art of Animation.

Guests staying at a Disney World Moderate, Deluxe or Deluxe Villa resort will receive the Disney Dining Plan included for free. Disney World guests at moderate, deluxe and villa resorts will also be able to book the “Free Dining”, and upgrade to the Disney Deluxe Dining for the normal price difference.

Availability is extremely limited, and must be booked by September 29, 2012. It appears that all suites, campsites and 3 bedroom villas have been excluded from this offer, as well as the standard Little Mermaid rooms the new Art of Animation Resort. All other Disney resorts, including the family suites at All-Star Music and Art of Animations, as well as the other value resorts are included in the offer. Three night minimum stay required, and a maximum stay of 14 nights is allowed per reservation. You must also purchase a minimum 2 day basic park pass per person per reservation to qualify.

Please note this offer is currently only available to Disney VISA cardholders. A $200 deposit per room must be paid with your Disney VISA at the time of booking. This offer will be made available for all guests starting on July 12, 2012.

If you are in the area anyway, you could try to get in earlier than your ADR time. I saw people do this at LTT and Chefs de France successfully. (I happen to have been seated near the podium for check in) It's worth a try.

Wow!! It sure has been a busy day here on the thread. Congrats to all those who were able to take advantage of the FD. And to those still waiting Thursday will come quickly you'll see. Lets just hope there are still rooms left that fit everyone's need and time. I will be saying extra prayers for you all and hoping for some magic pixie dust as well!! Hang in there it will be here before you know it. Just make sure you all get on the phone right at 7am - set an alarm if you need to. My daughter and I are planning on doing that the day ADR's open for BOG. I sure hope we can get a ressie there for dinner on Thanksgiving!! Please oh please let some magic be sprinkled this way.....
