I was so excited about our trip to WDW, a 1st for my children. I waited a few months to book airfare as my travel agent suggested. I just recently started looking and it's SO EXPENSIVE! I need 5 seats out of Newark or Philly, one way on Nov. 4th. (We'll also be visiting grandparents so we'll fly home from another airport.) Any suggestions?

have to fly out of BWI and its not cheap either! Its like $150ish round trip....my dates arent open yet so I am looking at the dates that are open and estimating

Hi! I'm in South Jersey. I have been checking flights from PHL, EWR, and ACY. They are ridiculous! I was waiting for Southwest and Airtran to release our travel dates but I am not holding out much hope for fares in the price range I am willing to spend ($250 per person RT) so we are beginning to make plans to drive. It sounds bad at first but DH is a police officer that works 6pm-6am driving a patrol car so driving through the night shouldn't be too difficult for him. The only other perk is that I can pack what I want without worrying about weight limits or TSA violations. It will also save us about $1,000.00 (based on current fares vs. current gas prices).

I guess my years of gushing about WDW have finally been heard by my older sister. She and her SO are now planning on joining us. Now we have me, my hubby, and our three kids, plus my parents and my sis & her SO.

I've already warned her that this is not a vacation where we'll be sleeping in!

Sounds like fun! My sis and BIL were with us on our last trip. They didn't listen to my warnings or follow my plans so I had to go ahead and do what we had planned. It worked out fine. We just met up later in the day.

I could just cry :sad::sad::sad::sad:

I was so excited to book my trip that I didn't really think about my options and so I booked Nov 19 - 24th. Seemed like a great idea at the time, airfare just came out and was really reasonable.

Sitting here today looking at the crowd calendar it dawns on me that I could have booked Nov 21 - 27th - ultimately giving us an extra day, and still only having my daughter miss two days of school. To top if off, crowds would be lower on Sunday and Monday so that we wouldn't be dealing with crowd levels of 9 the entire stay AND we may have had the option to hit the MVMCP too.

I called Jetblue to see if there was any chance to change the dates and was told there would be a $100 fee per ticket :scared1: Just could kick myself right now.

Oh no! That stinks, but you're still going to Disney World:cool1: and with a good touring plan you will do fine in the crowds.

I wish I could just decide on a resort and stay there. Right now I'm booked at Pop but I'm seriously considering a LM room at AofA or POR in a Royal Room. The only way I can do a Royal Room is if free dining is offered in Moderates that week. If I stay at Pop and they offer free QSDP I'll have to upgrade to the Reg Dindding Plan. If we switch to AofA I know there is likely no chance of free dining. DD(3) really loves the princesses right now so it would seem as a no brainer if it wasn't so far from the food court. DH was medically discharged from the Corp with a knee injury. It seems like such a long walk for him where as if we stay at Pop last fall we can get pretty close. Ugh!!! Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!!!!
We are staying 9 nights and I have basically got my ADR's figured out but can't decide between Raglan Road or WCC for my last dinner. We love WCC but DD(3) seems not to eat much there and pay more attention to the hobby horses and lincoln logs. The menu at Raglan appeals to us and it would be something new, I'm just leary of what to do. I think having to make all of these plans so far in advance gives me way to much time to second guess myself. :hyper:
I really like the look of AoA and staying at a brand new resort would be nice, but I can understand your dilemma. I would probably stick with Pop and hope for free dining.

Hi! DH, DD 6 and I going Nov 10th thru 17th (possibly 18th if our wait list comes thru :worried: ) and I wondered if we could be added to the list. We're staying at BLT and we're so........ excited!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

:welcome: I will add you
I could just cry :sad::sad::sad::sad:

WOW! I am sorry:(

I would do POR in a royal room on the ground level. Oak manor and Partierre Place(sp?) are pretty close to 2 diff bus stops and the main building

I hope all those waiting for Southwest to open flights for Nov and Dec don't get burned in the process. I have watched the ticket prices for the JetBlue flights we are taking go up steadily as more seats are sold

When they were released, they were a total of $380 for 2 people round trip. Due to a snafu with Betsy's license, we had to wait to get the tickets, and wound up paying $481 for 2 round trip, and now they are up to $567. Looking at what Southwest currently offers for that time of the month say in Sept or Oct, we still got a better deal going via JetBlue if those prices stay consistent in Nov.

Well I checked SW flight charges for Oct, its been holding at $147 which I guess I will have to pay because Airtran, JB, Delta and AA are wayyyyy too pricey for me :scared1:

Please add us for Nov 22nd - Dec 1st

Right now the only thing up in the air is our resort....
We are booked for movies but I keep seeing the aoa pics and my dd would
love the Little Mermaid room.

It really feels weird not to worry about ADRs this trip. The trip planners already e-mailed and called me, and they will take care of all of it.

I saw a few postings now about AoA not having free dining in Nov if it's offered to other hotels. Is there a reason it would be excluded?
In the latest offer AoA was originally excluded but later added in and people on the boards have confirmed getting free dining at AoA.

Good morning, November peeps!

I've run our of stuff to plan for the moment, which is dangerous without having airfare booked! I'm playing with the idea of adding a day to the front of our trip, because my favorite morning nonstop from HOU to MCO seems to have disappeared from the schedule. If we want to fly nonstop we won't get to the hotel until early afternoon, and we currently only have one night to experience AKL. An extra night means one full resort day, which would be fun start to our vacation.

I may leave it up to chance and put in a request with David's DVC rental. Undecided. I wish I had some boundaries when it comes to my Disney addiction!

I know the pain you are feeling I changed our dates and flights twice before our March trip resulting in $400 in change fees with JB. :scared1:

I am going to try and not make that mistake again but right now I am still trying to decide on a Nov or Dec trip.

Hi everyone! I thought I had all of our ADRs planned out but of course we are changing things now that we are less than a week away from being able to book them!

So, originally the only breakfasts we were doing were 2 at Boma (because it's that good) and Tusker House at AK. But- I keep seeing reviews of Crystal Palace and getting in MK before crowds to take a few pictures sounds great. Have any of you done breakfast there? The reason I'm iffy about is it that we are doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour at 9:30, so if I can book the earliest CP ADR, will we have enough time to eat and be out by around 9? Would we be better off just not doing breakfast that morning?

LOL I just posted in the first thread - didn't realize there was a second already!

We're planning a trip 11/1-11/6 with my in laws, so hoping for 40% off a 2BR villa. I would have considered renting points, but I don't have a firm "yes" from the in laws yet.

Anyone know when November park hours come out? My FIL is gluten intolerant, so I want to make ADRs so they will have his allergy on record (usually I make a few ADRs and we wing it the rest of the time). And as good DISers you know I can't make ADRs until I pick our park days and see where there's EMH, etc...lol!

I can totally relate to everyone with the air fare. We live in Central WI and have priced out Milwaukee and Minneapolis/St. Paul and they are still over $350/person. I believe I have DH convinced to drive at this point because I drive a Prius and the gas prices won't be nearly as bad. Plus the young un's get to see more of the countryside...

After watching this thread for many, many months I am finally able to say....I'm officially booked! :cool1:

We are arriving on 11/22 and departing on 12/1 at CBR hoping for free dining. If free dining doesn't come out during our stay, we will revert to plan B which is Fort Wilderness.

I found them on the Disneyworld website just go to park hours and click until you get to November, they have them posted up to the 19th BUT when you click on one of the November days it shows you for all of Thanksgiving week :)

Also Easywdw has there best park days for NOvember up :)

Okay what do you all think of my days/plans? planning on 9 park days and 9 nights, please excuse any typos.....Wednesday the 21st I have Chef Mickey's planned and an MK day, I don't want to miss the parade, what time does it start? What time should I make my Chef M ressie?

Oh let me know if my calculation is right....... I can start on May19th making my first ressie right??????

November:

Wednesday 14th Arrive around 11pm POR, found out dd if she misses 3 or more days of school will not be allowed to exempt herself from certain finals, so we have to leave after school Wednesday. And Oddly enough I had thought of just arriving Thursday but when doing the numbers Wednesday night was only going to cost me another $100, that didn't seem right too me?

Thursday 15th MK(8am-7pm) then CapeMay for dinner

Friday 16th AK(9-5) then Boma for dinner

Saturday 17th Epcot(9-9) LeCellier for dinner

Sunday 18th HS(9-8) SciFi Dine for dinner

Monday 19th Epcot(9-9) LeChefsDeFrance for dinner

Tuesday 20th AK(9-7) Wispering Canyon for dinner

Wednesday21st MK(9-10) Chef Mickey's for dinner

Thursday 22nd HS(9-8) 50's Prime Time for dinner

Friday 23rd: departure day but we will pick a park and probably spend until right before dinner time and head home

I saw a few postings now about AoA not having free dining in Nov if it's offered to other hotels. Is there a reason it would be excluded?

As someone else already said, it was originally excluded for the current FD, but they went back and added it. I think that they did so becuase people were changing to other resorts to get FD. It doesn't make economic sense to exclude it when FD makes it cheaper to change to a Moderate than to stay at AoA. I crunched the numbers for us, and as a family of 3 (2A 1C), if FD is offered but not at AoA, it will save us $400 to change to a moderate from AoA and $600 to switch to another value. For larger families it is even more pronounced. A family of 4 Disney adults can easliy save over $1000 on a week long trip by staying elsewhere. I think they realized that and that they would have to include AoA to fill it and they need to fill it to prove it was a sound investment to shareholders.
