November 2012 Trip planners #4~almost Disney time! Everyone welcome!

Can't believe how close it is now! Haven't posted for a while but I have been lurking when I've had the chance! Don't know where you all live but just wanted to send best wishes from the UK to all those experiencing bad weather, stay safe and safe travels x

I hope it stays away also! You're in my prayers!

I just had to post to see my ticker!!!!! I booked this trip in January and have been counting the days down since then. I think I am more excited than my wife and two girls.

Ticker's lookin good!!:cool1:

5 days until Disney, however, not sure how things will play out with the hurricane this week. Really nervous for my family in NJ and for the trip. Might be a completely crazy week. So question is, do I pack today like I planned or just wait until after the hurricane passes? What to do, what to do?! :scared1:

I agree with disney mom of 6, go ahead and pack. Let's believe the best is going to happen! Saying a prayer for all of you in the path!!

I hope your basement stays dry. Dh is downstairs right now putting up tubing and making sure the back up battery works for the pump. Not fun. I hope Sandy goes out to sea!

I say pack! Maybe it will help keep your mind off of other things at least for a little bit.

Prayers your way too! Keep us posted.

Awww that's so sweet!:goodvibes I personally am not in the path, but we will get winds and rain from it. I do, however, have 2 daughters in Northern Virginia who are preparing for the storm. And lots of our peeps from this thread are preparing as well. Thanks for your concern! Don't be a stranger...we'd love to hear how your plans have come together.::yes::

Delaware here and we've battened down all the hatches, stocked up on everything we can think of, and are hoping Sandy heads for Canada!! At least she bypassed WDW.... that's what I was REALLY worried about.

Assuming we keep our power on - this gives me a couple of days to stalk my ADRs, pack, and read all the secret tips and guides stacked up. :rolleyes1

If anyone was planning on hitting the Potato Head "bar" but needs a body, I was at the Christmas Tree Shop today and picked up 3 for $3.99 each! That's the best price I've found so far in a store.

I'm looking forward to stocking up on Disney parts! :cool1::debwalk:

Hope everyone stays safe and dry. We're also in Northern VA so we prepared and stocked up what we might need just in case but usually our neighborhood doesn't lose power so I'm hoping for the best.
WE LEAVE IN 4 DAYS!!!!!!!

The nasty four letter s word has been mentioned in the forecast for tomorrow night and Tuesday. I am so glad we went trick or treating last night. Although she didn't trick or treat much she got a ton of candy at the parade. She has a kroger bag full of candy thanks to trick or treating at the campgrounds, a halloween party with a pinata and a lunch bag full of candy, the quart size baggie of candy she won at awana, and last night. I will probably end up throwing alot of it away.

Hope all those in the path of the storm stay warm, dry, and safe.

Praying for those affected by Sandy. I've been through my fair share of hurricanes and they are no fun.

In the meantime, we will be in Disney in 14 days!!!:banana::banana:

Check out my pre trip report (link is in my signature) and see the planning binder I made.

Good luck to all!!!

We are in RI here and the wind is getting nasty but we haven't had rain here yet. We are prepared and I think we will probably lose power for a few days if the winds do pick up.

Take care everyone and be safe.

We're at fourteen days tomorrow - and Sandy is not going to make a bit of difference to us! In fact, because I have more time to stalk ADRs, I just got dinner at 'Ohana. thanks, Sandy... lol!

We are in the Northwest suburbs of Philadelphia and it's been raining on and off all day. We're all ready for any power outage. The school is closed on Monday and Tuesday. My office is closed as well. Thankfully, I can work from home. On the bright side, only 17 days until we suprise the kids with our trip!

Stay safe out there everyone who's in Sandy's path!

Bracing here for Sandy... We are 60 miles inland from where Sandy is set to make landfall, but it still isn't looking too promising here. Gonna be a rough 24-48 hours :scared1:

Be safe everyone.

Good luck to all those in Sandy's path. I hope she doesn't cause too much damage.

Work travel is making Disney planning difficult. UGH! The New Fantasyland is also making Disney Planning difficult. I'm just not sure what to plan for when we are there. Everything keeps changing.

Lots of rain here in MD. Stay safe everyone in Sandy's path. Don't really know if we will be leaving in four days now. Will have to see how Sandy goes.

So far we've got lots of rain, but not the crazy sheets of water that came with Irene. Apparently the worst is yet to come.....but we're doing okay so far. Hope everyone dealing with Sandy stays safe and dry!!

Now that I have the ADRs in place (mostly - there will be tweaking, I'm sure:stir:).... I started checking Disney dining prices. ouch!!!

We have the DDP (family of 3, 2 adults and one 6year old fairly adventurous eater) and we're considering upgrading to the DxDP.

We actually aren't big foodies (no Victoria & Albert's for us!) but there are a few places we really want to go. Keeping our crew happy definitely involves regular food consumption, and with a week of WDW park hopping....

We have CRT and the HoopDeDoo revue already booked, CM, Crystal Palace, Akershus, 'Ohana....plus some other TS meals booked with ADRs - seems the cost of the extra TS meals would cover the difference to upgrade, given the hike in Disney restaurant prices.

Advice and suggestions welcome.... !

Thinking of all of you in Sandy's path! Prayers being said for safety.

Last night we finished up our Mickey head ornaments (styrofoam is messy!) and I am in the process of ordering some custom family shirts for MVMCP. I still have not purchased that poncho I need. I have started the kids on probiotics and extra Vit D to try and strengthen their immune systems a bit. The week before our trip I will ramp up the Vit C. I am really happy with our ADRs, but am stalking for an am Akershus or pm Ohana for our last day.

Stay safe and dry everyone!
