Well the new park hours for our dates have been posted.... I know I shouldn't complain about more Disney time! And really, for everyday except for 1 my plans aren't terribly affected.....but with MK now opening at 8 instead of 9, my Chef Mickey ressie @ 7:10 isn't as exciting --the purpose of the early ressie was to make it to MK for rope drop

I reached out to my aunt who is meeting us there to see if she wanted to drop CM in favor of hitting MK early (I should note that MK is open until 1a that day, no MH, just regular park hours). But now I'm wondering if I should keep the ressie, even if its just for our family of 5 because I've heard such great things about it.... What would you do? :confused3

Same thing for us except we have an 'Ohana res @ 7:40 am. We decided to keep the res because its only one morning and we can try and make rope drop another morning and hop to our ADR park later.

23 more days and no Mikey mail :(

Found out yesterday that our TA charged the wrong cc when we added the extra night stay.
So mad at myself for not triple checking that... But have learned my lesson not to use a TA again! Don't like have to go through them for everything...

Making my Mickey tye dye shirts this week.
Hubby is so stinkin excited to surprise these boys.

If you don't mind me asking- how much was the limo??

Anyone know how much it is for a taxi from a resort to the airport?

Maybe someone here can help.....:confused3

We are picking up a rental car from the airport to drive home after our stay.

Can we use ME just for a lift to the airport without a flight booked?
Just give them a time we would like to go , or look up flights at pick one to use as a time reference??
I just don't want to be picked up 3 hours early when we don't need it kwim?

Or would it just be easier to get a cab?

:goodvibes Every now and then I have to step away from Disney and work on plans for a wedding.:rolleyes2::yes:: :rotfl:

That can be both fun and exasperating! Hope it's mostly fun for you. I've been AWOL a lot as well since the baby and being sick. Funny how life goes on beyond the DIS!;) But we're getting close!!

Is this your only day at MK? If not, I would just keep the ressie and enjoy. It would be disappointing to have hoards of people there when you were counting on mostly empty. But here's the thing. A lot of people don't check the park opening time once they think they know them, so many of the changes go unnoticed by people. Another plus is that many people won't bother with that earlier hour, so it still should be fairly empty (depending on overall crowd level of course). Hope this helps!:goodvibes

Also, you might not be that far from the 8:00 rope drop. I know you don't want to rush through the CM experience, but really an hour and a half will probably be more than enough time there. You'll still beat the vast majority of people. (and you can always show up for your ressie just a smidge early.:rolleyes1)

Here's a website that may be helpful: http://www.taxifarefinder.com/main.php?city=Orlando

You can also look into town cars, which would be considerably cheaper than a stretch limo. Try over on the transportation board to see what all your options are.

You would have to give them a flight number I believe. Just curious. Are you flying down? Just driving back?

Hope this is helpful and that you work something out to your satisfaction. Leaving Disney is always hard, no sense leaving before you have to!::yes::

I'll have to start looking thru every Walgreens in my area. They are so cute.

We don't leave until the end of the month. I hope all of you leaving real soon don't have your trip ruined by this big storm that is coming. Maryland looks to be South of the target spot which is supposed to be good. We are to the North and East of it which is the worst. I pray that all of you will be safe and have a wonderful trip. :thumbsup2

We found the spinners at our local Walgreens today. At first they looked kind of cheap, but they were neat when we turned them on and we had to get them. $4.99 each and we know the girls will love them.

Hope that everyone up north is safe during the storm.

Ugh its starting to rain her in north eastern Maryland. The spinners were 4.99. I don't think they are cheap looking. U will be spending triple that on the same thing at disney We r gearing up for o bad storm. I know smileybug remembers when my basement flooded last year because of Irene. Hope it doesnt happen this year !

There is life beyond the Dis. I hope everything is going well for you. :goodvibes

And we are getting close!! :dance3:

I hope this isn't a revisit of Irene. I would hate for ya'll to go through that again. What are they saying for your area?

You know its kind of weird..... We booked this trip so far out.... For a long time I didn't really pay any attention to my ticker. Then it all of a sudden seemed like we were making progress and time was moving rather quickly. Now that we are less than 30 days.....time almost seems like it is at a stand still. Time is moving for everything else .... except Disney. :lmao::confused3 :sad1:  I am so ready for this trip. Life has had so many BIG ups and downs lately..... I just want to escape for a little while. And Disney is our go to place. :cloud9::love: And boy are we ready to go. :goodvibes

I just had to post to see my ticker!!!!! I booked this trip in January and have been counting the days down since then. I think I am more excited than my wife and two girls.

Well, we are at T-Minus 10 days. I just completed the online check-in. I thought they had a comments section on the online check in part for special requests, instead I got one of 2 choices (close to transportation or the play area). I am glad thought that I am doing club level as I already sent them my room requests

Stay safe! Will be praying for all of you and hope that it doesn't impact your trips.

My wife and I were talking last night and I said that 3 weeks seems like it is far away, but now we are at 19 days until we leave and that seems so much closer!

I'm off to Vegas for the week but I will check in to see how everyone is doing. Take care!

5 days until Disney, however, not sure how things will play out with the hurricane this week. Really nervous for my family in NJ and for the trip. Might be a completely crazy week. So question is, do I pack today like I planned or just wait until after the hurricane passes? What to do, what to do?! :scared1:

I hope your basement stays dry. Dh is downstairs right now putting up tubing and making sure the back up battery works for the pump. Not fun. I hope Sandy goes out to sea!

I say pack! Maybe it will help keep your mind off of other things at least for a little bit.

Yeah, now I have a lot of time to pack. They just closed schools for Monday and Tuesday. The uncertainty just makes me so nervous.

I agree. sandy going out to see would be the best for everyone!
