November 2012 Trip planners #4~almost Disney time! Everyone welcome!

wow, stay away for a few days and the thread explodes!

congrats to all with their MM. We booked through a TA, so should have our in a couple of weeks. :)

Had a kind of rough day. My mom, who is going on the trip got laid off today. Its a weird thought, my mom has *always* worked. She says its a blessing in disguise as now she can do WDW then the following week go to my sisters for Thanksgiving. I guess its all about perspective. :)

I wish this time would go faster!! Only 34 more days~~

Hey Joann!! So glad to see you are heading back to the World!!!!! We are missing you by 2 weeks. :faint:

:wave2: I was hoping when I saw your PRT you were going later in the month so we could see your two little cuties, but its not to be. I hope you guys have a fantastic trip. We can't wait. I am so excite because I have a few surprises up my sleeve for our princess.

Oh and guess what...................................................................................

We're going to Disney next month!!!

WOOO HOOOOOOO

We got Mickey Mail today, but not all of it. We received our single night room info. We also received Cinderella today in the mail. Now to find time to watch it tomorrow.

The diaper cake Kaileigh and I made last Saturday. The mom to be loved it.

We also made a tie blanket, but I forgot to take a picture of it.

Good Morning everyone!! :goodvibes

Its a bit chilly here this morning for a change, its been quite warm. But I think we will be getting some colder weather in next few days, at least that's what they say. I'm ready I love the cooler temperatures.

We are down to 39 days! I am so excited. I can't wait till we all arrive and I can spill our 1st secret with the girls that we are in one of the Royal Princess Rooms!! They are going to be so excited!! When they enter will be surprises for them both from Disney florist for Sarah's graduation and Rachel's sweet 16.

Then a day or so later come the next surprise, a family carraige ride around POR. Never done this and thought it would be a nice treat for them and us.

My daughter is like jumping out of her skin. I talked to her last night- she lives in Pensacola as she goes to school there and will be driving down with her dad as I didn't want her to make that 7+ hour drive by herself. She is so thrilled to be going. For us it has been since 2004 since our last trip to Disney way toooo long!! So many changes and we are set to do some real cool things too.

Come on November!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! party::jumping1:

I just paid off our trip for November!!1:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: So excited this is our first trip during the holidays and the kids have no idea that we are going!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I almost forgot to update with our news from yesterday.

My mom had pre-ordered the Cinderella movie and went to pick it up yesterday. While she was there she asked if we needed/wanted anything else. One of the things we were wanting to get for the girls was some cereal bowls for morning breakfast in the room. She agreed to get those and also, since she had pre-ordered the Cinderella movie, she would get lithographs from the movie and wanted us to be able to take them and have them signed at the park! :cool1::cool1:

All in all it was a winning day for Disney at our house! :thumbsup2

In other Disney news, our plan for subterfuge is working well. Whenever we say "we're going to Disney World!" the girls scowl at us and say "No we are not. Where are we *really* going?" :rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl2::rotfl:

They are going to be really surprised when we actually go! :lmao:

Speaking of pressed pennies, I have to get some coins rolled up and turned into pennies and quarters. We also have to figure out a plan for keeping and storing them. I'm thinking laminating pages after we get home to put in a scrapbook, but while we're out and about maybe putting them into a gladware type container might work well too? :confused3

As to the things I forget when traveling it typically is the toiletries that I still need until just before we leave. Never fails. You grab your soap, your shampoo and your tooth brush and then you forget your deodorant or a hairbrush or something like that. Then you buy it on vacation and pay $20 for a half stick of deodorant. :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a great day. Pixiedust and good vibes to those that are waiting on Mickey Mail!

I bought a Disney World pressed penny book on ebay.. Like this one It is really cute and holds a good amount of pennies and has a few spots for the pressed quarters.

Got our ME tags today! Still waiting for our Mickey Mail but its enough to tide me over. :thumbsup2 Only thing is I have to call them because our flight info is missing even after giving it to Disney by phone 3 times.

The thing I normally forget to pack is sun tan lotion. Since its cold here when we leave I don't think of the sun in Florida. Last time we had to buy some in Blizzard Beach for like $100. :rotfl:

morning all

30 days to go
:cool1::cheer2:

working on my packing list

what are some easily forgotten things??

We are at 27 days!! pixiedust:

Some of the things I always have to run back into the house for as we are pulling out:

phone chargers
book to read in car
first aid kit stuff
hat
sunscreen

There is a Walmart pretty centrally located if you forget some things! I know we hit them up at least 2 or 3 times just for snacks and things we didn't want to pack for a long car ride.

40 days for us!

We will be in WDW over Thanksgiving & I know it will be super crowded. I am hoping someone can answer this question:

If a park fills to capacity, can you still be admitted if you have dinner reservations? I am a little worried about this (ok, ALOT).

TIA,
Julie

Unfortunately the offical word is no - fire codes are fire codes. I don't know if they have a line for special reasons where they will let people trickle in as people leave though...? I would think not because it wouldn't seem "fair" to other people though - I think closed at capacity means closed. :(

That is what I figured:(. I guess to be safe, you enter at rope drop & stick it out?

Also, during the week of Thanksgiving, do all parks full to capacity? Which ones are the worst?

Thanks,
Julie
