ThreeAngels (and others), I'd love to hear everyone's plans that are going the week of Thanksgiving so I can compare and get ideas and get even more excited! But, I certainly don't want to tie up everyone else's reading time on this thread! Maybe we could PM?

I'll be watching for discounts as well...We are planning the 16 to 21st...so close the Thanksgiving, I'm sure we won't get lucky enough for much....but will take ANYTHING. :-)

Let me start off by saying that last year, I had a BFF/workout buddy. I got from 165 down to 138. I had alot of issues with that friend over jealousy. She was on Phentermine(nothing wrong with it but I dont agree with it) anyway, she wasnt losing weight. We had a falling out and instead of things going away(it was a stressful 4 months)-she added fuel to the fire and ended up(months down the road) bringing 2 of her friends to jump me. Not the most mature way for a 41yo to be but it is what it is. So after that, it left me crushed mentally and I ended up needing an anti anxiety medications w/ an antihistimine in it. Needless to say it had steriods in it and I gained all the way back up to 189.8. Thats where I started this journey with MFP. I took myself off of the medicine on July 27th and decided to change my life for the better.

I let that lady go(mentally) in my head and have even forgiven her(something I needed to do for me) and fast wrward to today. Another good friend of mine is also trying to lose weight. Her dr put her on phentermine 30mg/1x day. She wasnt losing weight while I was using exercise and my diet to bring the pounds down. I was eating so much food while on the medicine-I know I was losing a decent amount each week. It started out as .4 lb/day now almost 3 months into it, I have lost 35 pounds and am now losing a pound or so a week. I have been busting my butt running each night( which I have started to love) for 25-40 minutes burning 340-500 cal 6days a week. Now my friend got her phentermine upped to 37.5mg and weight is dropping off of her and she is so happy. It almost makes me sick. Im not jealous because I KNOW I am doing mine the right way(while I know some ppl do need help), she on the other hand isnt eating alot (like 400 cals a day) and not exercising. I just cant help but think about thngs that question my drive or my ambition. Its hard, Im trying not to let it get to me and just be happy for her but thats why I have turned here for support. DH doesnt understand why I let her get to me and all I can say to him is your not on that treadmill everyday-you dont know how hard its been. After I w/o yes I feel great and most of the time feel great doing it but mentally its a struggle. I think she is just taking the easy way out. IMHO. I need advice I dont want to fall into old eating habits. I thought for awhile she could be a w/o buddy. I even went to her gym one time. She wrked out for 15min started to sweat and asked if I done. Its not worth my time to w/o with her. I prefer to w/o at home by myself without destractions.

mommyof3princess27, let me encourage you! You are doing a highly respectable thing by going at this the hard way! I know, as I am a "runner" (been running for 1.5 years now), and so I know how hard it is to spend those 35-40 minutes on running when you have so many other things you could do (I'm a working mom, not sure about you, so my personal time is very valuable). For instance, when I've cooked dinner, done laundry, helped with homework, and seen my son to bed (he's 12, so not much to do but put that motherly stamp on the day's end), then at 9:00p or 9:15p, I'm out the door to run my three miles when I'd much rather sit myself down in front of the TV and chill! So, give yourself kudos for the mental toughness it takes to have control over your body!! Plus, just think of the killer calves you'll have...you can't those from a bottle:thumbsup2 My dream is to run the Princess half-marathon someday! Maybe we'll run into each other someday!
Sending encouragement your way:cheer2:

AWWW thanks  that is encouraging. I wanna run in a half marathon eventually. Im still a little slow right now lol. Ill get there though. I know in the end my way will be the best. Just gotta keep doing it :)

My family is still trying to decide if we should spend next Thanksgiving at WDW. We'd love to go and spend our time at The Wilderness Lodge but now that the new Animation Resort is opening, the kids want to go there too. Decisions, decisions!! I just want to be there and be able to have Thanksgiving dinner and maybe see the Osborne Lights and the castle decorated in the icicle lights! For right now, we are not booked but if my oldest daughter has her way we will be by the weekend ;)

LOL keep u posted when and where you finally book!

@mommyof3princess - Several years ago I did it the easy way and lost 60 pounds on about 7 months. Guess what? I gained it all back plus some. I joined a gym this week and am thinking of joining Weight Watchers. Now I am going to do it the right way. Be proud of yourself for all you have accomplished. My goal is to do the princess half!

Hello Everyone~

We will be going Nov. 11-17:cheer2: This will be our first visit to WDW and are very excited. We are also staying at POR because we are a family of 5 and need the extra bed. This is such a WONDERFUL thread...its like having a planning buddy. I only made it through the first couple pages and thought I should post, so now I'm going back to the beginning.

OMG! Thats my goal too! I am going to aim for a 5k first. we can support each other. I am proud of you for doing it the right way. I KNOW in the long run, the right way will be better. It isnt as frustruating now to me as it was this morning. I think it gets to me when my friend throws it in my face. I should be happy for her but I am not sure. Today, she said she ate a nutragrain bar for brkfst, grapes for lunch and a small salad for dinner. Not enough cals. SHe really doesnt exercise. Its gotta be a balance. One thing that I do do is I log all my calories. I was thinking about WW BUT its pricey. I decided to try just writing down what I eat so I can be accountable. I use my fitness pal . com (without the spaces lol) and its free. It has all the cals, fat and carbs for just about all food we eat everyday. It tells you how much to eat to lose weight based on height/weight. I  it. And it works if you have the drive and support  Im here for you. Even if its just through the computer. :surfweb:

:welcome: We are gonna be at POR that same time! We are also a family of 5!!! :thumbsup2 We are all so excited to plan! I think right now we are all killing time till our 1 year date hits-then the real planning begins! We took our first trip last year-Im no expert lol BUT we all will help you as much as we can! :cloud9:

BTW-added you to our list :yay: Happy planning :yay: If you click on my ticker or anyones, itll take you to the site and you can create your own countdown :)

A huge WELCOME to all the newbies!! So happy to see all the early planners!! :cool1:

Oh my gosh, I'm so excited. DH, 2DD's, a grandma, a grandpa, and me -- just booked for a 9 day trip starting November 23, 2012. Already thinking about what and when to see, eat, and do. I love the anticipation. First time visiting in Christmas season and can't wait to experience all the holiday stuff and decorations. Anyone been this time before? Will weather be ok for swimming?:yay:

We went for the week after Thanksgiving last year and got to enjoy all the Christmas festivities. It was incredible. I can't even begin to tell you how much I loved it!!

Swimming depends on the weather... the first day we arrived it was hot. DD wore a sundress all day. The last two days (we were only there for 6 days) it was in the 30's at night!! We drive so I will be packing seasonal suitcases next time. One for fall/winter clothes and one for spring/summer clothes, along with coats, jackets and everything else. I think all the pools are heated. Maybe someone can confirm this?

We have been considering taking a trip to WDW during the Thanksgiving hoildays. Yesterday, I priced out a trip beginning on Thanksgiving and ending on Sunday, the 27th. I used the special offer link even though my starting date wasn't listed. Imagine my surprise when I was able to get the discount starting on the 24th. Now I just have to talk my husband into going.

Was that for 2011 or 2012?

Hey ya'll. :goodvibes

Hey! How have you been? :)

I read earlier in the thread that FD for November 2011 didn't come out until August :scared1: and my overplanning self would *definitely* have to have airfare booked way before then. I would be a ball of nerves if I waited until August to book airfare and the trip!

FD for 2010 didn't come out til August either so I don't expect it any sooner, but maybe we will be surprised!! :goodvibes

ThreeAngels (and others), I'd love to hear everyone's plans that are going the week of Thanksgiving so I can compare and get ideas and get even more excited! But, I certainly don't want to tie up everyone else's reading time on this thread! Maybe we could PM?

No need to PM!! Feel free to share your plans! It may give others ideas. ;)

We can definitely support each other. :cheer2: I'm hoping to do a 5K first also, but right now I'm so out of shape that I have a long way to go. I'm hoping by the spring I'll be ready. We have the Susan G Komen 5K every spring so I'd love to do that one. I might have to check out fitness pal to see how I like it. I admire your dedication to running every night. :worship: It's really difficult to motivate myself to go exercise at 8:00 after the kids have gone to bed, but you are doing it!! Keep up the awesome work. :cool1:

I'm really thinking about going in November 2012 (not sure which week yet) with my brothers family but I really need free dining to be able to do this!

Although I priced out airfare for November 2011 and it was cheap!

Anywho this is semi-daydreaming planning so far.

Hope it works out for you! We'd love to have you join us! :goodvibes

You can PM me anytime, but this is a really great bunch of people here and we all love to plan and share our ideas and excitement. I for one love spending my time reading here. It's my happy time! :lovestruc

I am hoping to go about this same time (Nov 2012). Has anyone heard if free dining will be offered at this time?

Wouldn't THAT be great?! We can only hope so far.

I'll be watching for discounts as well...We are planning the 16 to 21st...so close the Thanksgiving, I'm sure we won't get lucky enough for much....but will take ANYTHING. :-)

Yep, me, too! I'll take anything we can get. :3dglasses

Oh my goodness! Don't let anyone bring you down! You're doing a wonderful thing for yourself (wish I would be so motivated!) and doing it the right way. Do NOT let anyone get you down and if you need to be lifted up, let us do it!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: We're good at that!

Count me in!!!

POR 11/3-11/10/12 :cool1:

Can't wait to book! REALLY hoping for some deals! Maybe even free dining like they have this year!:worship:

Welcome! I hope you get your free dining.

I, for one, think you SHOULD spend next Thanksgiving at WDW. We are and we did it last year and it's AWESOME! Your oldest daughter sounds VERY smart! ;)

Ha ha! There were only 19 pages on this thread when I found it and I read it all in one evening. I couldn't even see straight by the time I was done, but this is the best thread! Welcome! We are also a family of 5 and stay at POR. My 12yo dd says she'll keep sleeping on the trundle bed forever if it means we're in Disney. And she's a TALL girl! Congrats on planning your first trip. That's so exciting!

WOW :scared1: I didn't even skip a day this time and there are so many posts! See you tomorrow!:cloud9:

This is our schedule so far, I'm sure it will change depending on park hours, MVMCP days, and ADR changes. This will be our first trip so I think we will make our ADRs then plan park days around that (except for MVMCP and Fantasmic). Any suggestions or thoughts are appreciated.

Sunday ~ Stay off property hopefully at a DTD hotel and visit there. Maybe dinner at T-Rex

Monday ~ Check into POR and visit Epcot for the day
QS Lunch or Coral Reef??? / Garden Grill Dinner

Tuesday ~ Hang around resort in morning then head to MK
QS Lunch / Tony's Town Square Dinner
MVMCP:santa:

Wednesday ~ Hollywood Studios (Try to get in Fantasmic & Osbourne Lights)
Sci Fi Lunch / POR Food Court Dinner (trying for early night)

Thursday ~ Animal Kingdom
Early TH Breakfast / Hoop-Dee-Doo Dinner

Friday ~ Check out of POR and head to MK
Early CP Breakfast / QS Lunch
Head back to DTD hotel for the night / Maybe DTD Dinner???

Saturday ~ Head home:sad2:

Looks good, natter!:goodvibes

Our tentative schedule is as follows:

Day 1: Check in at WDW resort. Rest. Have dinner at DTD.
Day 2: Shopping at the outlet malls!! :cool1: Evening at MK for dinner and fireworks!
Day 3: AK
Day 4: HS
Day 5: MK
Day 6: Epcot
Day 7: AK
Day 8: HS
Day 9: MVMCP
Day 10: MK
Last day: Check out. Epcot in the morning. Leave WDW in the afternoon.

I will probably change this many times before we actually go! What's new?!

Both your schedules sound good. Here's our tentative one:

Saturday: Arrive early-md afternoon (depending on how long it takes to get everyone's butts in the van, mosey around resort (POR). Take boat to DTD. Eat dinner at Wolfgang Puck express

Sunday: Epcot, DH and I will eat lunch at Tangierine Cafe, kids will eat at Yakitori House (they're too silly to appreciate Tangierine Cafe and DH and I can't NOT go there!). Dinner at Tutto Italia.

Monday: Disney's Hollywood Studios, lunch at Pizza Planet. Dinner at Yacht Club's Captain's Grille.

Tuesday: Magic Kingdom, lunch at Cosmic Ray's, dinner hopefully at Be Our Guest if we're lucky enough to have it open by then. If not, then dinner at Tony's Town Square or Crystal Palace....

Wednesday: DHS, lunch at Starring Rolls, dinner at Cape May.

Thursday: lunch at Le Cellier and hopefully a nice Thanksgiving dinner at Riverside Mill at POR again (this was GREAT last year! and just a QS credit)

Friday: Magic Kingdom, lunch at Columbia Harbour House, dinner at Ohana.

Saturday: breakfast at Kona, leave for home :sad2::guilty::sick::confused: (worst part of the trip...)
