November 2012 Code Watch!!

SO here is more drama(I will tell you, This last month has been not too good to me) for your reading pleasure, my truck has said low coolant for about 2 weeks, DH checked it and said it wasnt low so I kept driving, he finally called his brother, our mechanic, and when he came over it was like 6 inches low I dont know why I tell DH to do stuff, he just blows me off like I am a worry wort! Anyway, the oil was low, and our vanishing antifreeze was found...................mixing with our oil cuz we need an intake manifold gasket!!! Why cant anything go right lately??? I had a little money left over from the insurance payout so we were gonna set it aside for Disney and xmas shopping but now I have to pay for my truck to get fixed! Luckily its a popular engine so the partisnt too expensive but labor and everything else has the price up there! I NEED some my way

That's terrible, but at least you caught it before it did major damage. Hopefully the labor on it isn't too bad.

We'll be driving on our trip and before we go my DH wants to do oil changes, check it out front to back, and get all new tires.

We will be taking a short road trip this Saturday up to Philadelphia, its only a couple hour drive, my DH is a Ghost Adventures fan and they did Eastern State Penn on there-yea so thats where we are going so he will stop crying- although, he did say that I could plan the hole Disney trip and do anything I wanted to do.........so yea im going lmao.

I am not sure how many hours your drive to Disne is, ours is about 15 hours if you drive mostly at night(cuz of less traffic) My parents are making the drive next year for our big family trip, I will be flying lol

mommyof3.....I am so sorry about your truck. At least it isn't stopping your trip. Hhmmmm ..... Christmas shopping. It has been on my mind too. I need to get started.

You know, our drive to Disney isn't bad at all. 6/7 hours. Just depends on traffic and hubbys lead foot. I've learned to stick my nose in a book and just not pay attention to anything else.

I was on mousesavers.com and found a great chart of info! I was looking generally at when the FD was issued over the last coupl of years....we will have to wait until August of 2012 to find out about FD....even room discounts werent available til the later part of the year. Oh well!

I've been kinda wondering if attendance will be affected next year. Ya'll know that Dec. 21st, 2012 is the next big doomsday date. I'm not worried about it. But I wonder............... Just a weird thought.

That's what I keep telling my DH, that we have to go to WDW before the world ends. He keeps insisting that we don't need to go b/c the world is going to end and we won't have those memories long enough to warrant the cost of the trip.

Where are you driving from? We're northeast of Atlanta and our drive is about 8-ish hours. And my DH has a lead foot, too, but he's doing better with that. He's been pulled over several times over the years, but he's a sheriff's deputy, so, he's been able to get out of trouble!

Went to Barnes and Noble yesterday with DD to look for Disney books, of course. Walked out with THREE that had lots of trivia and cool stuff in them. DS16 and I stayed up WAY too late asking each other questions last night. Speaking of him, he got his class ring tonight. Sigh, my baby boy is growing up too fast.....

We are planning to spend Thanksgiving with the mouse. Only time that the kids are not playing a sport and no school! We have had to cancel too many times. Also, gives us time to pay off the trip and save! We are all very excited!

I've been going through the women in my family, making something for them. I'm going to have to cut myself back into the line to make the scarf for this trip. I found a cute crochet Mickey head on Etsy. My mom is super talented at looking at something and coming up with her own pattern. I sent her the link to it and have asked that she show me how to make it.

Well I blame my DH for me being in a Statistics class. He bribed me with Disney to get me back to school to get a degree. I settled on a computer programming degree b/c he said I could possibly work from home in my PJ's and still make a lot of money.

Yes, they grow up WAY too fast. Our oldest DS was born at 32 weeks and only weighed 4 lbs. Now he's 13 and is 5'9", 142 lbs, and wears and 11 or 12 (can't remember which) football cleat.
