mommyof3....I was just talking to my sister this morning about saving and budgets for this trip. I can't believe that by the end of this month we will be under 300 days. As much as I want this year to move.....I'm afraid its going to move to fast.

How are ya'll dealing with the wait for the FLE to open? That will have an impact on the MK days. Especially the new resturant.

We normally stay at the Polynesian but the rates have gone up so much over the years, I may venture somewhere else.
Anyone book the Art of Animation? I like the suites and big space.

For some reason it is not lettin me do multi-quotes from my iPhone. Have you thought about the cabins at Fort Wilderness? That is where we are planning on staying b/c my DH likes all of the space. That and we will have our own room, & we'll put our DSs in the livingroom on the pull out.

Hello all.
I read on allears.net that those on the Dining Plan can no longer use their CS credits towards snacks. Isn't that sad news? I was able to use 1 CS credit for 3 snacks in '09 when we were at WDW on FD. Now I will have to re-evaluate the benefits of the Dining Plan. I'd rather not be on the Dining Plan. It's just TOO much food for us. Way too much! But if FD is offered, it may not be such a bad thing. However, I anticipate a lot of CS credits going to waste if we cannot use them towards snacks. Thoughts??

Well, we decided not to go to WDW at Thanksgiving this year. We are going to go on a Christmas cruise and go to WDW in summer 2013 so some of our family can come with us.

I hope you all have a great time! Someday I'll be there for Thanksgiving.

Yea we have had alot to say! Yes its moving too fast! And the Christmas bills (yes used a CC BUT am paying it off)came rolling in today a little more than I planned soooo gotta hold off for a while on the funding of my trip so I can pay it back off. We will get it though....we always do

Very true. I used to have one. I bought it at a store called Sam Moon. It was all sparkley and pretty. When I wore it, my DH and my boys knew not to mess with me. We called them tiara days. I think my DH tossed it when we moved. I'll have to get me another one.

Good Morning I finally got my scrapbook area cleaned up last night so I can start working on the planning journals!

I used to live in Las Colinas, and I Sam Moon! You must get a new tiara!!


I can't remember the last time I scrapbooked. I just kind of gave up. Maybe one day I'll get around to do it again. I miss the creative outlet.

This is my plan right now. We will check in on the 16th IF there is a package or room only deal. In the past, that has been the last day of check-in to receive a discount. I don't want to take the kids out of schoool that day, so we would be leaving on the last flight out that night. If we didn't ge a deal, we would arrive on the 17th. We plan on doing deluxe dining, change passes to TEN day park hoppers. I still haven't decided on which resort. I would really like to stay cheaper since we are splurging on dining.

On the 20th, we will check-out and check-in to hopefully BCV renting points from a friend of ours. We have already worked out the deal with them. If I hadn't rented points.....we most likely would have done a room only reservation. We will check out the 28th. I will just have to choose a few days to be non-park days, which won't be a problem.

I read that too! In 2010 we traded our left over meals and got a lot of snacks. They lasted us several weeks after we got home. That's another thing to think about. I'm going to have to pull all of my receipts from that trip and see how many snack credits we ended up with. Yes, I still have my Disney receipts!

Imagine how I feel .... I have to go a whole 24 hours!! I can't post at work unless I'm on my lunch break.

I think a lot of people are going to in 2013 when it's completely finished, but I do agree the expansion is going to make the slow weeks a little more busy.

Morning!! School is back in session for us today. I am still WAITING for the 2012-2013 school calendar to be released. I heard yesterday from someone that they were planning on doing something different this year with Thanksgiving break, maybe extending it. Wow, that would be awesome for me!! I just can't finalize everything until I see that schedule!!

So one of the families in my Grand Gathering says they 'might' not be able to go but wont know anything til late May or June ...depends on taxes/finances....which I totally get. DOnt get me wrong, I know money is tight everywhere but how the heck am I to plan a vacion for 17 ppl if 5 'might' not go? I think what I may do is plan the vacation, when our ADR's become available, I will book mine and they can book theirs OR they can give me a cc number cuz Im not doing it in case they cant go. They said they might take off a few days or stay at a different resort. She says I just dont wanna think about it right now. BUT kind of you DO!!! Its getting closer! It just throws a big planner like me for a loop! This happened last year when a family that we were gonna go with all of a sudden said we dont have the money. No offense to anyone BUT if you know u have a planned vacation comin up-SAVE FOR IT!!!!! That may mean not stopping at McDonald's everyday or buying a new movie every week. Im not rollin in the big bucks by any means but we save to be able to go and we dont foolishly spend. Yes sometimes we do splurge but Id rather go to Disney than eat a hamburger......ugh!!!! Guess now I have to just plan ours and if they come along then great...if not oh freakin well!!! LOL guess I just needed to vent

This is why we are pretty much planning our own trips. Trying to keep 21 people together and happy. What we are doing is using the same crowd calendar. (touring plans) And planning to be in the same parks on the same days. Then we will have a few meet ups for rides and meals. And them I'm sure different groups will meet up and get to spend time together. Since we have all age groups going different ones will want to concentrate on different things.

We did a 2 week trip last June and had a great time, but the heat was brutal.
For our next trip, I don't want to deal with summer heat or Easter or Christmas crowds. So the only other option is to take the kids out of school. Nov 12 is veterans day so we can make the trip a day longer and we have a day off school on Nov 6, so the kids will only have to miss 4 days instead of 5.

I'm really hoping for free dining, but I guess we probably won't know if that will happen until much closer to those dates.

I will add you! I dont know but I dont think FD is offered that week with it being Jersey week. We were going to go that week and switched because of Jersey week, Wine & Dine Marathon, Veterans Day, Masters meeting(or tournament-not sure which) and something else....too many ppl and crowd levels too big for me lol now we are going Nov 25-dec 2. But no matter when you go, you will have a good time. I dont like too many ppl/crowds so we dont go when there is CL above 7

My DH used to work in Las Colinas. I haven't been over there in a while. The last time I was there, I took the boys to see the Kidd Kradick in the morning radio show.

I would let them know the when the 180 day out is, and that is when you would be making your ADRs. That there was the possibility that if they wait that late to make their's, y'all might not be able to all eat together.

Iam worried I will get everything planned, ADRs made according to which parks we will be in and then TP will change everything.

Texas is in the house! We live in Houston, but used to live in Murphy. I'm going to head over to facebook and try to join the Nov 2012 group.

I am a big-time resort changer - this time we'll end up wherever the discounts take us. I was hoping to get our tickets through the YES program, but it looks like they don't usually do open enrollment in November. If we're getting regular tickets, I may want to do the dining plan. So if I can even come close the rate at the Dolphin somewhere else, it may be on the table.

I absolutely love Disney math, and I can't get enough of the planning!
