Thank you for the check in info. We are thinking about switching resorts. And I do have to say that the WL has spoiled us. We drive up and hand our keys to the valet and that is it. That is why I want to know what check in is like.

We did both POFQ and WL within a year's span (first FQ, then WL) and now we are going back and we were debating between the two resorts. Betsy wanted POFQ as we had a ground room in the back right on the river, and it was beautiful and peaceful, and I wanted WL since growing up, watching fireworks and the lake shows while staying at the Contemporary was part of my traditions, so we opted for WL again and requested a specific room/floor so we could see the castle again and the shows at night when we were there

Good morning! Y'all been busy this week! I caught up on reading everything this morning, and just wanted to say a quick hi! I just don't seem to have as much time for Disney lately. I've started an exercise program, and between work, the kids, DH, and going to the gym, I have no free time. Oh, how I miss my Disney time.

Just sitting here thinking about something......How many of us will be meeting back up for a November 2013 trip planning thread? I know, I have lost my marbles.

I won't be joining you. :sad2: We go to Disney every other year. Next year we are planning to sell our house and buy a new one so we'll probably just go on a beach vacation. If we do something else, we'll probably take a road trip to the east coast. I am hoping to participate in the Princess Half Marathon in Feb 2013, but it will be a quick weekend trip with a girlfriend or two. :woohoo:

Count me in for 2014!!!! :rotfl2: :woohoo:

Gotta run! DMIL is coming over in a bit to dye Easter eggs with us!

Subscribing.. Been lurking for a while but have finally booked our upcoming trip first time at the Poly  We planned on 11/5 - 11/12 but I noticed the current bounceback has blackout during my dates (thinking jersey week :confused3) so went ahead and booked arriving the 3rd. Hoping for the free dining popcorn:: to be offered again and then can always adjust from there.

I am so glad to hear that ya'll love POFQ so much. Hubby isn't ready to make the jump just yet. We really just feel so at home at the WL. Everything about, it ........is just us. When I made our reservations (at the 499 day mark. :rotfl:) I requested a room in the bear face. (That isn't how you request it though.) Fingers are crossed. :lovestruc

We used PhotoPass back in 2006 and I wasn't impressed with the quality at all. I have a photo of our then DS4 with Pooh that was taken by the CM for our PhotoPass as well as the same shot that DH took with our camera at the same time. Ours came out better. I don't think we will use PhotoPass this trip.

That's just my opinion based on our experience. As the saying goes, "You're Mileage May Vary". There are those that love it and those that don't :upsidedow

For all of the tmes we have been I have never used Photopass. But I am thinking about it this trip. It is good to get views from both sides. :thumbsup2

We like photopass because being only the 3 of us, it gives us a chance to get some great pictures together. I bought it for November at the $99 pre-visit price. I will probably think twice next time looking at the current cost.

I am a little frustrated though about when November hours will be out, date able to make ADR & Southwest next flight schedule. It is simply not happening in the order I wish :headache:

Hmmm... I'm not sure what I think. We like photopass and have already pre-purchased our CD for this year's trip. I like the idea behind this, but I'm just not sure I like the cost. I guess it would be worth it if we did all the character meals, and rode all the rides featured on it. I'm going to have to see what our final ADRs look like, and make a decision when it gets closer to the trip.

What order are they happening? When will Disney be releasing November hours?

So, in my WDW fantasy, it would be
WDW hours
SW flights
ADR

Right now, for us, it is
WDW - in a few weeks
ADR - May 10
SW flights -May 21 - grumbly about this because I want to know arrival & departure before ADR. We usually do a celebratory 'we are here' meal & a 'till next time' meal. Nothing earth shattering, but not the way I believe it should happen in my WDW planning mind! :lmao:

We should see tentative hours released to travel agents in about 2 weeks or so. easywdw usually has the link up quickly.

Ahhh... I see. We drive so flights are not an issue for us. As type A as I am, that would be driving me batty. I was already going crazy waiting for park hours to be released. I just had to put away my Disney planner.

Here's hoping our hours AND flights are released soon. :goodvibes

Welcome! Sounds like we will be at the Poly at the same time:cool1: We are booked for Nov. 3rd-11th. Can't wait!

I did see that. We already pre-purchased the Photopass CD for $99.95 so I think we are just sticking with that. I will be happy to get some pics with all four of us in the Parks.

I am completely frustrated with this as well:headache: The waiting game is driving me crazy. I would like to already have my flights booked by now but I am holding out hope that SW will have some lower fares. The fares that are out right now are so high that we are discussing driving as an option:scared1:

ETA: Just noticed today is the 30 day mark until I can make our ADR's! Oh my, I need to get my plans together!

I find the new photopass interesting, because we bought quite a few ride photos last year. But I also pre-ordered, and the fact that there's no pre-order discount makes it less appealing. I don't think we'll buy enough ride photos to make it worthwhile at full price.

But I do LOVE the regular photopass. It's so nice to be able to get shots with the whole family in them, and I don't have a camera that can get decent night time shots of the castle and and Osborne Lights, etc.) If I had a more serious camera, I might not buy the photopass, either.

I agree on the flights thing... I am always an early planner, but I don't recall having to wait so long to book flights on Southwest. It seems like they're releasing them extremely late this year. But I'm glad to hear park hours will be out in two weeks... I'll get to go back to my Disney planning again once I have something to do!

I hope everybody has a great Easter Sunday!

Hi All! I'm a newbie to the boards here and can't wait to join the discussion.

We just got back from WDW yesterday (stayed at Bay Tower@Contemporary), and we had a WONDERFUL time. Crowds were fine and we were able to do everything we wanted.

We are going back at the end of November and CAN'T WAIT! :woohoo: We're going primarily to see Mickey's Very Merry Christmas. :santa: We went to the Not-So-Scary last year so we wanted to try something different this year.

Called CS @ Disney and they said codes won't go out yet for November but I continue to call and check my mail hoping I'll be surprised with a PIN code.

We didn't have the Dining Plan for this trip we just took and I really wish we had it.

OK, we were having Easter brunch with a lot of friends and we were talking about the upcoming trip. Since a couple of them are avid flyers, we were talking about the airfare, JetBlue, Southwest, etc.

They said if Southwest is not open yet for Nov, see what they would do for roughly the same time span in October, and that will be the approx amount of the ticket costs. I did that, and it was $50 per ticket higher than what JetBlue is currently offering so that is a difference of $200 for both of us. What do you all think of that theory, and if agree, should we get the tickets now and not wait for May's Southwest releases?

Hope everyone is having a wonderful, blessed Easter!

Welcome! :cheer2: The CM is wrong...plenty of people on this thread have received PINs. I, unfortunately, am not one of them.

Is it possible to book the rooms now without a code so I can start booking dining at the 6th month mark and then call back to apply a code later on? Just trying to get everything lined up for November.

Yes of course, but there may not be availability at the resort you choose for the dates you want. They would not cancel your ADRs if you have to switch resorts though.

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes Its the start of a brand new week. Just think of all the planning possibilities. :lovestruc
