Hi, all! Another St.Louisan here!

I'm HOPING to take my daughter on an 11th-birthday-last-year-before-middle-school-and-she-hates-me Mother/Daughter trip! We are looking at the dates of November 1-6. We will probably stay Value at Pop or ASMu.

Early this week, I got a PIN for 10% off....REALLLLLLY hoping for FD or a room only discount to come later on, but I will probably book Room Only for our dates as soon as I can FULLY convince DH...

Just checked out one of the threads here. Looks like WDW has installed fridges in some of the rooms at Pop Century. There're pics of the fridge too. Apparently, WDW refers to them as beverage coolers, not refrigerators.

Hopefully, by the time Nov rolls around, ALL resort rooms will have 'beverage coolers' installed!!

Hey y'all! I haven't been around this week, and y'all sure have been chatty without me! It's been a busy week, and I'm happy for the weekend to finally be here.

I was hoping to talk DH into a long weekend trip to the beach this summer, and it was surprisingly easy. He just said sure. It's going to be a surprise for the kids. They've both done so good in school this year, and I think we could all use some time away. We always stop at an outlet mall that is about 1/2 way, and they just so happen to have a playground and a Disney outlet. I'm going to get DH to stay with the kids while they play so I can go to the Disney outlet to see what I can find for their travel bags! I've been trying to figure out a way to get there before our Disney trip, and if I have to go to the beach to do it, then that's just what I'm going to do!!

So between planning that and DD's and my trip to Dallas in July, I've been busy. I have decided to go ahead and make our Disney reservations this weekend... or next week. I'm going to reserve 2 rooms at the POFQ for now. I'm sure it will change, but I at least want us to have reservations somewhere. I told DH if they don't offer free dining, I might consider staying off site or at the Dolphin or Swan. He was fine with that too as long as he can still eat at the restaurants he wants. I'm not sure why he is so agreeable lately, but I sure like it!

All this leads me to a question: When can people staying off-site make ADRs? Is it 90 days? If so, is it hard to get the ADRs you want? That would be my main reason for not wanting to stay offsite.

Have any of you worked the new "Be Our Guest" resturant into your dining line up?

Oh yes!!! It is a must for us! I can't wait.

Do ya'll think that The buildings along Main St. will be canvas free when we all go? I realize that they aren't that invasive. But I would love for Main St. to be just the way it is supposed to be.

I sure hope it goes away before we get there!!

We were planning on Nov 24-Dec 8th, but were waiting for Free Dining before we booked. Got a 30% PIN, but the only way it'd make sense for us is if we stayed deluxe and we can't afford that. Boo. I wish we could give it to someone!

I'm so excited!!! I just booked our rooms for November 13-18! Five nights preferred at All Star Sports for $502 per room. Love the 35% off pin that I got!

Oh, I got my boss to agree to another day off so this will be my longest stay yet.

I'm not really looking for anything... just hoping to find some neat stuff to throw in their surprise backpacks or maybe a shirt for DMIL. Oh! and some plushes! Did I say I wasn't looking for anything?

Mostly it's a matter of "can afford" vs "can want". I would love to stay at a Deluxe, but very sadly even with a 30% off it's still more than I can pay. Though there's always hope for renting DVC points! Another option we might consider.

I know I still have time but I'm trying to decide where to stay. We don't care about the pool and we are staying in a standard room. We will be driving and using that for most of our trasportation, except to MK, so we don't need to be near the bus stop. And if we were close to the laundry facilities that would be great! What do you suggest?

I received 2 different % off PINs. The first was a 10% off that came in early January in both email and snailmail forms. Later I saved a couple of prices on the Disney website and in mid-Feb I received a 35% off PIN via email.

I was totally shocked to get the first good for a time I was going. I really couldn't believe when I got a second PIN for the same time period.

I saved a trip at the Wilderness Lodge but did not book it at the beginning of January. Within a few days, I received the "30% of all resort levels" PIN. I don't believe I have ever received a PIN through the regular mail, but I get PINS e-mailed to me on occasion.

In 2010, I booked a Thanksgiving trip, and as we got closer to the trip I had to shift my dates. Our new dates fell within the higher holiday rate time, so I cancelled the trip and booked at the Swan instead. I've been receiving PINS fairly regularly ever since.

The formula Disney uses to generate PIN codes is kind of a mystery, but I do wonder if being flaky has put me in a target group for promotions. I hope the fact that I "took the bait" doesn't discourage them from sending me PIN offers in the future!

It's really personal preference and budget. I would suggest looking at some pictures online of each resort that might interest you, then run the numbers on Disney's website for each resort to see what price you are willing and able to live with.
