Hi All!

Got a pin code this morning and it says I can share complete with a facebook link... so of course... I am.

It doesn't seem that spectacular though (maybe that's why they are letting me share :laughing: )

This code is a rooms only code only for the month of November.

Value- $100 per night
Mod.- $174 per night
Delx.- $305 per night

Pin Code is H4A

Still praying for a better one or for a public discount to be open because I really love me some free dining popcorn::

Im gonna check that out!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Checked it out...Im at POR with a standard room and I am paying $169 so its more? :confused:
I posted before I checked it out but then ran to WDW site to compare prices... those prices are ALL higher then rack rate!!!
Yay for Disney!!! They are now sending codes to people for mark-up prices for the ones dumb enough to book without researching ... well they can't trick us disers who research our trips to the point where we schedule bathroom breaks :rotfl2:
I almost want to email them and be like ... this is offensive (but then again I probably wouldn't get any more pins so that probably isn't the best idea).
Well, sorry to get everyone's hopes up. Guess I'll go back to the computer screen and wait for another (although I've told my husband I'm waiting for a certified letter from OMDD to say I won a free vacation :rotfl: wishful thinking).
I have spent so much time calculating our options, and I think I've finally come up with something. I really need free dining more than a code!! LOL!
I've ruled out the Poly solely because I'd rather stay there when I know we will have more free time to enjoy the resort. Maybe 2013 or 2014.
That left the POP and POFQ. I know my kids love the POP with it's over the top decor, but for just a few hundred dollars more, we can stay at the POFQ. I'm not just sure my kids will enjoy it. We live an hour from New Orleans, and DH is from New Orleans, so the French Quarter theme is not a big deal for us. That said, the French Quarter is one of my favorite places on earth, and DH's least favorite so I rarely get there. Maybe the POFQ would give me my fix. I'm just wondering if the kids will like it.
Anyone have young kids who like POFQ? What do they like about it?
Do they have connecting rooms?
Of course, all this reasoning may go out the window if they open the regular rooms at AoA before we go! LOL!
We've finally decided our first choice birthday celebration week is Nov 11 - 18, so at least I have a target now! We hope to stay in one of the Epcot resorts, but would consider POFQ, depending on any deals. Maybe even offsite, in one of the 4 or 5 stars. I think our best discount is going to be free dining. It's our 50th birthday celebration and we plan to do it up right!
I'm anxiously checking my email every morning, have updated my account info on the Disney website, ordered the free planning DVD (again), ordered maps, and priced and saved a couple of trips. Nothing to do now but cross fingers and wait!
Good news! We got our state part of our taxes back. I am scared to touch it....not sure what exactly I want to do with it yet and I cant just leave it in our checking because I know we will spend it......maybe move it to savings? I know we have to buy new tires, pay a CC, airfare, new windows and list goes on :headache:
I finally booked my trip. I am not going to Code watch anymore. :banana:
I have a contract to stay at the BCV from Nov 15-21 and then finish out at AKV Kidani village. It was 500 less that booking POFQ through Disney. It will be my first time to rent DVC points, but I am so excited about our resorts!
Even if I were to get a free dining offer, I wouldn't save money based on my resorts.
Now to buy tickets through my husband's compan discount, Universal through Undercover and then think about Cirque and Disney Quest.....:surfweb:
It depends though. Taking the Deluxe resort as an example, specifically Wilderness, the code could save a person a couple of hundred dollars. Yes, the normal rack rate for weekdays is $305 so no change, but weekends are $330, and if you "Upgrade" to Woods, Courtyard, etc, both Weekday and Weekend rates go up, and if the code keeps you at $305 for every day, then it will save you money. Currently, without a code, our WL stay from 11/7-11/13 will be $2115. If the code keeps every night at the $305, then it is $1830, a savings of $285
We'll be there at the same time! And will probably stay at the POFQ. I'm sure you are going to have a great 50th birthday celebration!!!
We haven't even done our taxes. DH always waits til the last minute. I don't know why. We always get a refund. I'm not sure how this year will be. DH was unemployed most of last year, and I don't have as much in taxes taken out. I'm praying we at least come out even.
:rotfl2: I think for the first time, I'm satisfied with mine. Well, except for whether or not we are going to do the Fantasmic! dinner package. :confused3 :rotfl:
I just keep switching between CRT and CP for dinnr....I am just afraid CRT's food for dinner is gross....Its gotten mixed reviews. IDK there arent THAT many places to eat in MK. I suppose I can venture out into the resorts. Ill look again. Not sure if everyone will like Ohana's or not :confused3 Then there is the Grand Floridian Cafe or the Wave....still undecided :surfweb:
This is why I am going to wait until just before my ADR window to figure mine out. :rotfl: If I don't I know I will drive myself and DH batty with second guesses. :rotfl2:
Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes
Good Morning Everyone!
I don't even know where to begin to plan my ADR! :confused3 How will I know what park we wnt to go to on which day :confused: Really warm day = water park. Less crowded day = MK. etc. I don't know any of that now! Suggestions are very welcome - plam with/for me!:rotfl::thumbsup2
To plan my park days I use the crowd calendar at touringplans.com. This is the starting point. As far as water park days you almost need to be flexible with those. Florida weather in Nov. can be really crazy. Shorts one day. Jeans and jackets the next. :goodvibes
I'll have to check that out. Jeans/jackets/shorts I'm going to need to buy bigger suitcases! :lmao:
Don't forget Be Our Guest may be open by then. We loved O'Hana! That's a definite must do for us! I've heard good things about CP's dinner, but I'd choose O'Hana any day. That is, unless BOG is open! :rotfl: We're hopeless! :rotfl:
I agree with Smiley. Use the crowd calendars and work in a few flexible days. When we were there Nov 2010, the first day was hot. DD was dressed in a little sundress. The last day it was freezing... literally! I had not packed winter coats, just light jackets, and even then I packed the wrong jacket for DS and it was too small. I ended up buying him a new Toy Story hoodie while we were there.
I'll have to check that out. Jeans/jackets/shorts I'm going to need to buy bigger suitcases! :lmao:
:rotfl: Usually I pack each kids clothes in their own suitcase. This year, I think I'm going to pack a suitcase of summer clothes and a suitcase of winter clothes. Since we are going to drive our mini van, I'm going to bring all of our coats and jackets. I will be prepared this year!! :thumbsup2 Kidding aside, it really is hard to pack everything from swimsuits to coats. I feel for those of you who are flying and can't bring the kitchen sink. ;)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I talked to DH about POFQ, and of course, he said, "I don't care. Whatever you want, dear." I love when he says that when I ask a Disney question. Now if he would just say that when I go shopping! :lmao:
