NOVEMBER 2012 Code Watch and Discount Thread

Haven't checked this site for a few weeks---any rumors of discounts or FD? I know FD doesn't usually come out until August, but is anyone hearing rumors of anticipated dates for the offer?

I think it's coming much earlier this year. Last year, the August-Sept. FD promo came out week one of MAY. This year, it was announced in March!!! So, I'm hopeful for June for this year. Early July at latest. Whether it is free dining or just a room only, or a different type of package, I'm getting ready to hear it starting next week, when the current discount ends!!! Also, Mommyof3Princesses has posted a FB rumor that FD for fall will be announced next week. Very unconfirmed.

Right now we (2 adults, 3 kids 14/14/6) are booked at POR from 11/25 - 12/2
We are excited and are about to start our ADR's any day!

But......

My Brother n Sister inlaw would like to join us....but they can only go in the first 2 weeks or so of November.

I know FD hasnt been officially offered but I have this crazy gut feeling the week after Thanksgiving (our week essentially) will get some kind of promo/offer for dining...this is HUGE for us!

If FD was offered in Nov, do you think it would cover all or most of November minus Thanksgiving week?

I am thinking of switching up our stay to the 11/10 - 16th instead, to help accomodate my bro mn sis inlaw?? We really want them to come along. (this is a non holiday week I assume?)

So, if I make my ADR now for late Nov, but then we switch to early Nov, this will of course mess up our dining plans...

I guess in a nutshell, I am asking about FD for Nov and what weeks are usually covered and which are not??

If you can go 11/10 - 16th then I would book it. Your family can go, the roomrates will be lower and it will be less crowded. It's a win-win - even if free dining doesn't come (which I think it will) If there is free-dining the 10th - 16th is a lot more likely to be included than Thanksgiving week.

I may have mistook your week for Thanksgiving week, if that week you are booked is the week after Thanksgiving, then the room rates and crowds are probably similar. I think if free dining comes out for late fall, both those weeks would be included.

These were the fall free dining dates last year. I just so happened to have them on my PTR from my Nov-turned-Jan trip.

October 2, 2011 - October 8, 2011

October 23, 2011 - November 5, 2011

November 13, 2011 - November 19, 2011

November 27, 2011 - December 3, 2011

December 11, 2011 - December 17

If your dates do come up, book ASAP. Last year some of these cutoffs moved by a day or two according to booking levels, with Dec 17, Nov 19, Nov 5, and other days leading into busier season dropped from eligibility.

The need for space and saving some $$ is seriously tempting me. Anyway, in the past I have received PIN codes so I decided to give Disney a call to see if there was anything in my account, as I haven't received anything via email or snail mail. I spoke with a very nice CM named Ken who told me that I didn't have any offers right now but that they are in a "testing" period with their current promotions and then there will be a ton of offers sent out within the next month. I asked him what he meant by a testing phase and he explained that Disney tends to send a few hundred codes out and then at a certain date will release "thousands of codes" once all the kinks are worked out. He said, "if you have received offers before, then you will receive them again." Here's hoping!! Just figured I'd pass this info on, for what it's worth-which may be nothing! Good luck to everyone waiting for an email from Disney Destinations! hehe

I think both of those weeks will be included as well. The only weeks I dont see them doing and I could be wrong would be that weekend where the end of Jersey week, veterans day and all those marathons/festivals take place. I can see them starting FD on that Tuesday. I also think The week AFTER Thanksgiving might be included. I hope both are

I received that pin and I too thought it was weird. Course I also received this pin a week or two after we booked using a 30% pin that I had already received (I received it in snail mail and email). So yeah, weird

I'm hoping too! I'll be at POR in a royal room from 11/17 - 11/26 and I'm REALLY praying for FD because we'd probably not be able to afford it otherwise.

YAY, I GOT A PIN

Unfortunately, it's only good for one of my nights, but I'll take it!

The offer was good through 11/19 and then 11/24 - 11/30 and it said only certain resorts - AKL/WL for Deluxe - but when I called, they let me use it on BWI as well.

I already have the AAA discount on 11/20 - 11/23 and when I used the pin for 11/19 - it saved me an additional $58. Not a huge deal, but that will pay for dinner for me and my DD one night!

Now, if the stars align and I can change my air so that I can go 11/22 - 11/27 instead, I will save about $300 using the code - keeping fingers crossed that JB changes the flight times
