I just changed our reservation for our Nov trip for the 8th time. I signed up for Alamo 's Insider program and got an email for 35 off weekly rate. We are driving and would rather rent than put miles on my car. Picking it up at Dallas Love Field Airport location Nov 10 - returning it Nov 21 and rate is only $113.42!!!! Using contract ID 7015135 and coupon code AD2724FZA. It populated the contract ID when I clicked on email so not sure what it's for, I spent couple hours other night trying all the codes everyone has posted on here so hope that's not one I need to show anything for .

Weird thing is I was going to see about picking up at DFW airport since I work by it and it was $45 more expensive! So I will just take long way home and drive by other airport.

I just found a weird thing. I wasn't logged in on the Alamo site and checked prices again. I found a full size for $199.61 before taxes for when I'm going. Since my rate is lower, I decided to log in to see if there was a better deal using the Insiders codes. I was very surprised to find the rate shot up to $339 before taxes. Make sure you play around when looking for prices. Log in and Log out trying the same codes.

ours did too!!! the rates doubled using the same codes! I will still continue to check but I'm sure glad I'm booked already!

Just got an even lower rate for my minivan reservation !!!
Just rechecked my minivan reservation and I was able to get it down to $303.92 for 14 days !!
I am renting a minivan from ALAMO, using the COSTCO Travel site, from Nov 4-18.
I also checked what it would be just going through ALAMO using the Insiders Club & Costco ID 7014627 & code AF4499SDY. The van would have been $348.96 for the same time frame.
I never knew about how great the Costco travel site was until I saw it here.

Thank you for mentioning Costco I just got an standard from Alamo for $145 a week! I previously had $250

Rates on Alamo are still going back up for 11/26 - 13/1. My midsize is about $144 now. Glad I've got it at $84.27!
However, if anyone needs a premium, those same dates, the base price is about$114!!, Total $155 and change. The $35 Insider coupon was not accepted but did give approx 10% discount. Hope this helps someone!

It pays to keep checking. I have (had, actually) an Alamo ressie for 11/1 - 11/8, compact car $134 total which I snagged well over a month ago. Rates have been going bananas when they should be dropping, but on Friday I checked and I could get a premium car for $143, so I took that.

It's not cheaper, but it's a roomier car and since we're travelling with 3 adults (flying SW so lots of luggage!) I thought it was worth the extra 9 bucks.

I don't have Costco, but do have BJ's and it seems that the BJ's code plus my Insider number has been giving the best rates overall. I'm kind of stuck on pickup time/ return time since I will likely use very close to a full 24 hour period (landing at 11 a.m but flying out at 1:30 pm) so I can't play around with my times like others have been doing.

We last rented a car in May when the rates seemed to drop $10-20 per DAY every time I checked. That was fun! Ended up getting a full size for the week for just under $100 total. Pretty sure that's not going to happen this time.

What is going on with car rentals for the end of November?! I am glad I finally jumped on a rental last week - I finally reserved through Alamo for a total of $167 for a full size. I have been checking the last couple of days to see if the rates have gone down at all and they have doubled!

Weird because I just checked rates today and for early November they have dropped again almost as low as I booked about a month ago ! I have a 9 day rental compact car, using costco id and the $35 off coupon for 86 bucks total ! The Alamo insiders rate gives a rate only a few dollars more than costco

Rates seem to have dropped again for my dates, but nowhere near as low as they were a few weeks ago. Still about $40 higher than what I have booked!

The low Alamo rates are still there. I have a compact for 11/3-11/8 for $77.15 and it's showing up just a bit higher now. So, if you didn't book before, you might try now. This is using the Alamo insider code and the $35 off.

rates down again today!! at least for me. just got a full size for nov 2-11 for $122 using insiders code and $35 coupon. previously had a standard for $148 and a premium for $151 and didn't think it was going any lower. it sure pays to keep checking!!!

Thank you so much for posting this. I just checked my rate for Nov.25-Dec. 4 and it went down from $200 to $165! I also didn't think it was going to go down since it is right after Thanksgiving.

Do check to see if standard is less than a full. There are no standards at MCO and booking a standard at MCO will give you a full when you go to pick up.

I didn't know that! I just checked and a Standard for my timeframe is only $2 cheaper. I'll keep checking that though. Thanks for the tip.

actually the full was less than the standard today. I had the standard booked previously knowing that I would still get a full. I can't figure out why sometimes the better cars are cheaper--I guess it must have to do with their inventory??
