Thanks to this board, deciding not to go OOP on any meals, and being able to pick up some canceled I have blown up my reservations completely. But i did pick up my white whale the le cellier lunch. So here are my cancelations hope they help:

Sorry if this is a stupid question but how are you guys able to see the open ressies? I'm trying to get a better time for DD's bday.

I just put in the date, # of people, and choose either breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I do not put in the specific restaurant, I just leave it blank. HTH

I tried twice and wasnt there, I guess since our party is smaller it isnt coming up?

I see two on 11/3 745 and 955 for six people. If they aren't coming up for your smaller party, book for the 6 and call and ask them to drop people. Sometimes it won't show for 2 or 4, but will show for more.

Oh haha, I was looking at breakfast. Man, all this ADRing is taking its toll on me!
I still see the Ohana at 505 for 6 as well on 11/3. I'd just book it and then call if I were you.

I've never personally done it, but I've seen that they are really good and really easy going about it. It might not call to ask, and then make up your mind from there. Absolute worse case scenario is that you show up with your res for 5, with only 3. Happens all the time. But if they could just change your number, it could open up two more spots for someone else. (I called the other day to try to add someone to mine, and she told me it was much easier taking people away rather than adding them!)
