We are planning a trip from Nov 1-8. New to this code thing. A friend told me about this site. So new to this. Would love to get a room code. Are codes only for certain resorts?
Is the 30% savings for a package or room only????
Just some hints to getting codes.
1. Get a Disney Visa. (Puts you in the system, and everytime you buy something from Disney, including vacations, you get 6 months no interest)
2. Sign up at the Disney website. If you have two or more email addresses, sign up with all of them. You may get offers emailed to you or mailed with codes.![]()
You probably are subscribed if you replied to this thread (which you did).
I just got a Disney visa, yay!I noticed you said everytime you buy from Disney, what does that include, besides vacations, which I know about?
We are going Nov 14 - Nov 23 and really hope we get a code, pin, w.e. even a general public code. We got a pin last Aug to use in Nov '07, os hoping to get something similiar!Maybe we'll get something from our Disney visa!

The bounceback offered at the resorts right now for Nov 2008 are the 9-15 there may be another week.
What that means is anything Disney. Things you buy at Disney, Disney.com, Disney stores etc. Just go to the Disney Visa website and it explains it better. Also you get disney dollars for every $100 you charge. I put my Disney vacations on the card and pay them off within the six months. No interest + I get about 20 Disney dollars every trip.![]()
Thanks, YesMickey!I have now started paying everything with my Disney visa card! Another question for you. I'm wondering about the Disney vacation. I understood it to be any Disney Vacation, whether it's just room or a disney vacation package. On another thread I read Sunday, someone asked ?'s on this and the poster replied that to get the 0% for the vacation, it had to be a package deal, definitely not just a room only, and she knew this because she just had been through this. This confused me!
So, do you know what the real deal is, can it be a room only or does it have to be a package to get the 0%? That doesn't make much sense being you can buy anything disney to get the 0%, right?
Also, how the charge for this work. I don't remember who said it, but they said the 6 mth 0% starts over each time you make a payment on your trip. Is that right that it doesn't just start from the date you first book your trip, but with each payment for the trip? Confusing and it's good to hear from a fellow disser who puts it in plaing language and has experienced using the card, so Thanks!

I think you've gotten some mis-information. In order to get the 6 months 0% interest, you must book a package or DCL cruise. When you first get the Disney Visa however, ALL purchases should be 0% for 6 months -- that can be dangerous though! (your monthly statement will always show where you stand regarding any deferred interest charges.)
When you have an eligible purchase - WDW vacation package or Disney cruise - your statement will show the expiration date for the 0% and also the balance you still owe on those particular charges. It does not start over each time you make a payment toward it. When I've had a 0% deal, I've always made sure to pay that month's charges in full PLUS an amount toward the package (usually trying to divide it equally over 5 or 6 payments).
When in doubt, call Chase!
Thanks for answering, RachelTori!Btw, I did get a packet from Disney Visa today with card info, have to get to reading it. But, you guys usually have clear, easy to read/understand answers, so I'm going to ask another question. Hope that's okay!

Now some of the info I got came from this answer to a thread I posted on getting a new Disney Visa card.
"We love our Disney Visa!!! As far as the 6 months, 0% goes....the 6 months starts when you make your deposit and every payment after that. For example...if you book a package today and only put down the $200 minimum deposit and pay the balance 45 days before your arrival, you will have 6 months from today at 0% interest today to pay the $200, and then 6 months/0% interest from the date you pay in full to pay that amount off. That goes for any payments you make along the way as well....whatever date you apply a payment (or pay it off), you will have 6 months from that date with 0% interest . There will be a section on your statement that shows your deposit/payments and when the expiration date of the 6 months, 0% interest is."
I do see that it says package in this quote now. So, is the part where is says about paying 200 dep. now starting the 0% interest, then it starting over when paying by the 45 day prior mark, valid or is that not how it works. Thought I'd read that more than once. Also, lets say I book now with AAA rates, then hopefully a code or pin comes along, hopefully by mid Aug, as it did last year. Then, when I apply that code to my ressie, and it's before the time I had to pay it off, will it then start over with a new 0% cause it's actually a package then? Otherwise, if I book now, I've have to pay off trip just after coming back. Not that I wouldn't, but nice to have extended time if possible or needed. Anyway, does any of this make any sense? I will also try to call chase tomorrow evening when I have more time. Boy, having a Disney visa rewards card is confusing, but I will figure it out eventually!![]()
Okay, thanks!! Appreciate any disney visa insights!![]()
I was kind of wondering that too. I have the 0% on my $200 deposit and I was hoping that when I added the rest of the cost of my trip to the cc the 0% would extended from the date I paid the rest of the vacation off.
IE If I booked with a deposit in Feb the 0% would end in Aug. Thins say I pd the rest of the trip off with the CC in July then the 0% would extend to dec. Does that make sense?
Not expecting it but I can hope!
