yes it will be applied but i think there is a time before your trip that you must get the code in before.
I helped someone last year and they got it in on the last possible day.

now i have a question, does anyone remember the exact dates allowable for
last years code?
meaning. I think they are blocking out the "Jersey week" this year.
but if i have my first day of my vacation in the week that isnt blocked out,
then i still get the code rate even if the other 5 days are during the blocked out week right?

does anyone understand me?

and when do we expect novembers code to come out again?
usually not until august right?

I missed last years code, but I have been told August.

Question-
Can you book now, with Disney VISA, and then apply a code even if it would require you changing hotels or dates when the code becomes available?

Is there a penalty fee for changes?

just found some answers to my own questions, and thought i would share

here is some copy and pastes from last years nov code threads.

general public for check-in 9/30-11/19, 11/24-11/28, and 12/8-12/23. If you book online the code is ZGD, and over the phone the code is ZGH.


Value Resorts Discounts:
$59 per night plus tax* for stays most nights: Sept 30 - Oct 3, Nov 25 - 29, and Dec 8 - 19, 2007, Sunday through Thursday stays only

$79 per night plus tax* for stays most nights: Oct 4 - Nov 20 and Dec 20 - 23, 2007, Sunday through Thursday stays only

No fee, and you can make changes. I booked in Dec. 2006 for our Thanksgiving 2007 trip. When the codes came out I had to change from Pop to Sports, but there was no fee involved. I saved over $300 with the code, so switching to Sports was a no brainer for me!

No fee, and you can make changes. I booked in Dec. 2006 for our Thanksgiving 2007 trip. When the codes came out I had to change from Pop to Sports, but there was no fee involved. I saved over $300 with the code, so switching to Sports was a no brainer for me!

So there was a code over Thanksgiving? I hope so since thats when I will be there. I wonder if there was and I had to change from POR to one of the values, if I would be able to get 2 adjoining rooms since there are 5 of us.

I checked in the Friday before Thanksgiving, and left Thanksgiving day. The first person I talked to (the morning the codes came out after about 45 minutes on the phone) said I couldn't use it. I called back the next morning and was allowed to use it with no problem. The lesson here is don't give up! Keep calling for awhile and you never know what you will get!

i am trying to understand when the blackouts effect your bill.
as they are saying for the tday trips.
if their trip started before the blackout, ie, their check-IN day is not in the blackout period, then they still get to use the code.
am i right on that?

like in my example, if the code is good from 10-1 to 10-30, and 11-9 to 11-22
ergo,
it behooves me to leave a few days earlier and arrive on 10-30 to get the code rate for my whole vacation
right?

Remember that WDW changed their policies this year! Before, you got the rate of your check in date for the whole trip. Now you are charged day by day. So I'm not sure if the codes will be applied differently this year. Yes, I was able to do that during Thanksgiving of 07. I have no idea if you can do it in 08!

Both my daughters birthdays are right around that time (will be turning 8 and 6 yrs old), and thought it would be awesome to take them for their first time ever there.

Well, it's official- we're going for sure because I bought airfare this week! November 15-22. Will probably book our Disney package today and get that over with!
